Or Blaine sees that Sam is more popular than him and has no choice but to step aside. I would like it if that was the scenario, then maybe just maybe I can finally feel sorry for Blaine.

There has to be a set up for "The Break up" and we know Kurt isn't interested in McKinley drama's anymore. We know they skype each other, and there has to be a build up for the next episode.

And Blaine does go off the rails in "The Makeover" so there has to be more of a reason than just missing Kurt.

^ so he can get hte most dazzling role? the heavenly descent of a perfect angel? experience tells me 99% of our wishes will never come true because:
- we see kurt as sexy and hot and the writers do not;
- we (ok at least some of us) do not stan for blaine but the writers think he's universally loved;
- many of us do not ship klaine (or any pairing) yet the writers think these pairings have massive appeal.

In other words, we and the writers are not of the same species and do not share the same POV many if not most of hte time. that's why I am not optimistic at all. but if I am wrong, then that's all the reasons to be pleasantly surprised.

hmm, so 4.05 is a rehash of 3.02 through 3.04 about students auditioning for the Grease show (in HS side at least). Maybe Kurt will also get to re-audition for NYADA. that's my wishful wish.

The writers do have an odd handle on the idea of attractiveness and sexiness. Sexiness has to apparently be not only heterosexual, but involves heels, leotards and people groping your body. Doesn't matter if you stand stiffly for the most part, people are only supposed to see the trappings and accept that is indeed sexy.

I think of Sophia Loren, not that I have watched much of her stuff, but she wasn't a rail thin chick, and she had this melted bone way of moving that seemed much more sexy, in my definition. It is sexy to be comfortable with yourself, you are relaxed, it isn't overt, more sensual than anything, I guess. You get the feeling of potential, not obviousness.

That is why I like Kurt's attitude, a touch of the hand is as sexy as it gets. It is what the touch means to Kurt that he finds sexy. That is why he is turned off by porn, there is no emotional involvement, and he doesn't see the need to go there. With Kurt, when the emotion is there, I can see him being very sensual, but it takes a lot of trust on his part to let his guard down. You can tell from his dancing and flexibility that he is comfortable with his body, even if he is still learning about his own sensuality.

Still unable to fully watch the song, part is it I hate the song, and I find the idea kind of cringeworthy, but Rachel is giving you the trappings, but not the substance of sexy. I don't blame her, she's had one lover, she's been sheltered, her focus has been developing her voice and not getting in touch with her body. What I really don't like is Brody fawning all over her to give the audience the information that she was amazing, when she wasn't. Why can't they allow her to be a young woman with stuff to learn? What is so bad in that? I would handle the scene better if I didn't know how it ended, with Rachel's efforts unnaturally propped up, and only the alcoholic denying her magnificence.

I still find it funny how they made sure Lea's legs were shown to their fullest, even at the end, and her tango move was pretty much her hooking her thigh around her partners. It's like, Look at them legs, audience, forget the rest of the moves. They are nice legs, assuredly, but I don't think Lea is THAT bad of a dancer that the focus should be the shape of her appendages.

Blaine is in the same boat, they won't show him not getting the main role, unless it is his own decision. They can't abide not showing him in a positive light. It would do him well to lose, because then he has the opportunity to rise above it, they don't even give Blaine that much.

I think the focus on shipping isn't just fan pandering, with a cast this huge, it is simply easier to write them in stories that involve multiple characters. Romances are the easiest, but it does seem this year they are focusing more on the friendships. Sam/Brittnay, Sam/Blaine, Marley/Unique (feeling mightily forced, but there) and Hummelberry. It will be nice having people interacting with the purpose of evolving the character, instead of circling the drain of romantic drama.

They've said a couple of times that Kurt would retry in December, so I don't think his audition will be either episode. I foresee the episode before holiday hiatus will be the Winter showcase, with Kate's exit, possibly, Kurt's audition with the did he get in cliff hanger (unless they go the do I want to give up Vogue angle) and holidays in ND.

I actually really love that ad, if only for the fact that we're seeing some real promotion that has nothing at all to do with Rachel Berry. It's nice to see some excitment generated around what's happening with Kurt's storyline for a novel change.

Looking at the promo over on GF it seems they are more focused on Rachel getting to dance with Brody and Sam's abs than Kurt. He gets to walk in the room, and get confused by Isabelle. You'd think they'd at least be pushing SJP like Kate was. It's like they give Kurt a handicap to put him on even footing as the less accomplished actors.

Does seem strange that supposedly Blaine/Sam and Artie/Brittney are running, but they end it with Sam and Britt on the stage. Makes me wonder if Sam and Britt decide to partner at the end of things. I think Britt is going to win, because I think that is going to be her major win this year, that and graduating. Blaine's will be whatever he graduates to, either NYADA or whatever. Plus he is the defacto leader of ND.

Not interested in the Rachel/Brody stuff, just more guy adulation of Rachel. Yawn. She'll sing some more, and almost kiss him again. Predictable. I wonder if she feels the limitations, but I am sure she enjoys the checks, and the notice Glee has brought her. She is doing a lot of modeling, something someone as petite as her would rarely get to do.

I can't wait to see Kurt get a new friend in Isabelle, they describe them as mentoring each other, but we haven't heard too much of future plans for the character. I hope if Kurt does end up in NYADA, that he maintains his friendship with his fashion pipeline. I was reading elsewhere that Vogue isn't appropriate for Glee, as it is about singing, but wait and see if Santana gets a modeling career it will suddenly be the most natural thing ever. Oh well, you aren't going to make everyone happy. Glee is evolving, and it isn't just about singing, but finding your joy. I believe Kurt will always find joy in singing, whether he do it as a job, or not, but if he finds happiness and fulfillment as a designer of some sort, I am for that as well. Not ever graduate is going to go into show business. JMO.

Last week was the one week a month I have my last 12 hour shift on Thursday, so I could come home and watch the show immediately, and there wasn't much I really was interested in. I mean I was glad to see Tina sing, and I thought everyone did a good job singing songs I didn't really like, just not my thing. Now this week, I have to wait until Friday morning to see the episode, to see Kurt making his way into the adult world. I am so looking forward to this episode. To me this feels like Glee is really beginning, and the long drought of Kurt sadness (2 years running) is finally ending. I know it won't be able to fulfill my expectations, because they are so high, but I know Chris and SJP will bring it, and there will be a lot of fun and energy in the scene. Just not enough, would be nice for Kurt to get the same amount of attention Rachel got in ep 1 and Britt in ep 2.
