^ Considering that FOX, RIB and all Klaine fans sincerely believe that the Kurt fandom is happy about the Klaine engagement, they are probably surprised that people actually demand a REAL and INDIVIDUAL storyline.

Kurt got lucky because Sam is straight he was chosen by teenage dream of everyone - Blaine Anderson for engangement, I don't understand why someone would want for Kurt anything more.

So Adam Lambert may be working at the diner too? Maybe he's not so much an enemy, but someone who snarks back and forth with Kurt? That would be fun to see.

I don't care if he is enemy or not, I just hope he has alot of scenes with Kurt and we get plenty of them snarking at each other (I love snarky sassy Kurt) :-) and also a duet!

I'm now imagining Kurt and Adam Lambert's relationship being kind of like Kurt and Sebastian's in fanfiction. Not that I want them to necessarily get together, but I can see good chemistry and funny, snarky conversations.

But yeah I would welcome snarky funny conversation and not that I don't like Kurts female friends but I am looking forward to Kurt interacting with guys as well (well except for Blaine).

What I want for Kurt is to have a storyline of his own that is completely exclusive of Rachel and Blaine. Being engaged at 19 is not enough to fill a season, and while they will never allow Kurt to achieve even a fraction of the success that Rachel gets handed, just because Rachel is successful shouldn't negate the chances of Kurt finding his own successes. If Rachel gets to be the star of Broadway, let Kurt be the star of NYADA. Let him be in a year end production where he gets a significant part that allows him to grow as a performer and shine. Let's see that by the time Blaine arrives at NYADA (which we know is pretty much inevitable, especially if Rachel stays on Broadway) that Kurt is the HFMIC, the one who's talent is regarded with awe and respect. This way the show can keep their mythology of Rachel being so very special that she doesn't need NYADA, but Kurt needed that extra training and becomes a giant of a performer in his own right.

Not liking Fire & Rain. It's way too slow.
ETA: Someone said it's Artie and Sam singing on Fire & Rain. I know they said they had been thinking about doing it before with Artie, but I wish it had gone to Matt.
The rest of the songs are up too.
If I Die Young is OK. Naya sounds good.
No Surrender is fine too.
I'll Stand By You is not the best song for Amber, but it's OK. Not anywhere near Corey's version, IMHO. I wish they had given this to Kurt, though, as it is a significant song from the Furt relationship.
I will probably wind up buying all of these songs.

The past few seasons started off with Kurt seeming to get story, and then it goes away, like Adam and the Apples, most of Vogue. If we have Kurt singing in the midseason episodes, I will have to count this season, pathetic as it seems to be, better than the last two. Not even Glee could probably justify Kurt not getting even one line to sing about his step-brother. Although he didn't get to sing at his father's wedding, he got compliments, and he's been paying for it ever since.

- I'm trying not to be churlish about Kurt not getting more focus in the song performances this week (though I'm counting my blessings that Blaine didn't get one) since he was one of those closest to Finn, but he is not the only one being shortchanged. I agree that he and Will are going to likely be doing the heavy lifting as far as acting goes and the songs, in the end, are the smallest part of the emotional punch of the episode. I did like Seasons of Love and there won't be a dry eye with Rachel's song.
If I Die Young is nice, but seems a bit of an emotional miss for me. Santana and Finn were not close and had mostly an adversarial relationship. Unless Santana is acting as proxy for Rachel, I just don't buy her suddenly having this close emotional bond with Finn. I can buy it more that her grief is mostly for Rachel and to a slightly lesser degree Kurt (with whom she is close to) and also the shock of losing a peer at such a young age. But Finn himself just wasn't that important to Santana

- I can understand most of their choices. Rachel was the girl he loved and wanted to marry some day; Puck, Artie and to some extent Sam were his best friends; Santana and Finn had some wird love/hate relationship but Mercedes and Finn barely interacted. I can't remember even one conversation between them if they ever had any. Why did RIB thought it would be a good idea to give her a solo instead of someone who was actually close to him?

- I'm thinking that Mercedes will be singing I'll Stand By You to Kurt. It's really the only way to make sense for her singing it.
The Mercedes solo is definitely the one that is the oddest choice (nothing against Amber). I mean, Ryan tossed her aside for the newbies, yet he gives her a song for a character she never interacted with? Especially considering she also has a big part of SOL.
Honestly, I think I'm more disappointed Matt isn't singing than I am about Chris not singing. Really, Will was probably the closest to Finn after Rachel. He considered Finn his best friend.
But then again, based on the other spoilers, Kurt and Will have significant story in the episode, and in the end, that's more important, I think.
I'm just glad we aren't seeing the newbies singing.
ETA: So wait, that's not Darren singing after Chris in SOL? God, the guys all sound alike.

- OK, I have to say it: Seasons of Love is the most beautiful group number they have ever done on Glee.
I've wanted them to do this song forever, and it's absolutely beautiful. I just wish this wasn't the reason they had to do it.

Wow, Seasons of Love is so beautiful.
I love it, but I'm also sad that it took this horrible tragedy to get it on the show.
As much as I wanted a solo for Kurt in this episode, I'm happy with what we got from him in SoL, and I'm also more miffed that Will didn't get to sing. I really think there should have been a Will solo. Or maybe he could have joined Artie instead of Sam on 'Fire And Rain'.
I love 'No Surrender' as Mark sounds so pure on it, same with Lea's 'Make You Feel My Love'. Amber's 'I'll Stand By You' doesn't move me, and I also agree that this should have been a Kurt solo (or maybe Will's). And it's not that I dislike Naya's 'If I Die Young' but something is off with it, although I don't know what.
The songs:
- Seasons of Love:
Wonderful. Amber is singing very clear and strong. I'm really glad that the originals (Except Keving and Lea) got lines and are singing it together, not studio backup singers (like they used to do in the beginning), which I absolutely love.
As for Chris: I think he starts of the first “How about love” and you can hear him clearly singing throughout the entire song.
This song is fitting for the ‘old’ Glee, and I’m very happy with it.
- Make You Feel My Love:
Lovely. I feel like this is Lea Michele singing when she’s at her purest, stripped from her usual Rachel dramatics. Which is no wonder considering the circumstances, and my respect for her singing this song is immense.
- No Surrender:
A very good song for Mark. And to me it sounds very heartfelt, you can clearly hear how much Mark loved Cory. It breaks my heart a little and this was the song that made me cry when I heard it the first time.
- If I Die Young:
Kinda like this song, but for some reason Naya sounds a bit weird, like there was some tweeking in the studio. Her voice sounds a bit thin and tinny, and I’d rather hear her singing in a lower key.
I’ll Stand By You:
Hmmm, Amber sings it well, but I much more prefer Cory’s own version. And again I hear that thin/tinny studio tweeking like I do with Naya’s song. Maybe the iTunes versions will be better?
- Fire and Rain:
I like it, especially Kevin, but Chord also sounds good on this kind of song. A very good rendition, imo. Sam and Artie are a new combo on Glee, I think? They sound good together.
