Well, if 'Popular' is indeed a Hummelberry duet and Kurt is G(uy)linda again than the song will basically be a Kurt solo.

As this takes place in 2009 the better Wicked Hummelberry song for this episode would actually be 'Loathing', as Kurt and Rachel weren't friends yet back then.


We're not even sure those 3 songs will be all the songs in the episode, right?

It is rumored that Tina will get to sing her audition solo 'I Kissed a Girl', so maybe Kurt will get to sing 'Mr. Cellophane' again too. Only I hope they let him sing it in his current, adult voice, instead of using an old tape of him back then.

And that song would be so true of Kurt's story for the last 4 years. He's been used as a prop, background and belittled character. How I long for the days of Kurt being HBIC. He was a BAMF.

I found it interesting that they talked about Jeremiah in the last episode as I think this will tie in with next weeks episode as they mentioned When Harry Met Sally in Silly Love songs with Kurt and Blaine and next week Kurt goes to Blaine's apartment like Sally did in the film.

This is speculation but this will tie in when Blaine said in Silly Love Songs "Don't they get together in the end?".

Some have suggested this, and I think they could be right.

I hate that Klaine are marrying, but Kurt is tough enough to put up with any of Blaine's crap. He is not weak and can best Blaine as we saw in "Tested".

As they seem to be going ahead seven years and if Rachel did end up going back to Nyada with Kurt in episode 11, then maybe this time she stays at Nyada and finishes her education like Kurt must do?

I think this is the only way they can redeem Rachel and I can accept if she wins a Tony.

If she earned this with hard work, not just talent.

Nope, not gonna happen. On Glee it's never enough that Rachel wins: someone else has to lose at the same time to make her win even more special. And usual that other someone is Kurt or Mercedes.

Besides that, I'm sure Lea liked winning a PCA alongside Chris and was happy for him, but it is no secret that TPTB of Glee were kinda bumbed that it was Kurt/Chris who became so popular and started being nominated for and winning awards, when their planned leads Will/Matt and Finn/Cory weren't, and their attempts to make Blaine/Darren the new break-out star and Sam/Chord the new white male romantic lead failed miserably.
Chris has even outdone Lea when it comes to awards and nominations. There's no way RIB would acknowledge Chris' equal popularity/award status to Lea's per their characters Kurt and Rachel. In fact: it's quite the contrary so far, as the more awards Chris won the less Kurt got to do on the show and kept failing at getting personal success (certainly in comparison to Rachel).

No character on Glee can be really as talented and praised as Rachel, as she is the specialest of special snowflakes. There's a reason Kurt is still in NYADA but not really phased about auditioning for roles or getting other performing jobs: he can never have a similar success as Rachel, not now and not in the future.
So while Rachel gets her Tony in the finale Kurt will be mildly succesful in the chorus of an of-Broadway show, if Blaine will allow him to continu his career at all that is, and hasn't guilt tripped him into giving up performing completely so he started working at Vogue again, as there can only be 1 performer in a competitive male gay relationship after all.

Heck, with the way season 6 is going we'd be lucky if Kurt's career will be even mentioned at all in the finale.

I was just thinking about this the other day, actually. The year Chris was nominated for his second Emmy, Lea wasn't. I remember Murphy doing an interview where he said he was happy for Chris (half-heartedly, imo) and then went on about how he was so disappointed for Lea.

Not that I imagine Glee will do something that does not make Rachel look like the only deserving person on the planet when it comes to talent, but wouldn't it be something if they were all there to celebrate Kurt's award? But Glee writers ran out of surprises a long time ago, now it is just shock tactics. Wow, Beiste has always wanted to be a man, a man who likes lipstick apparently. I have never been a fan of Unique, because I feel the actor couldn't bring what was needed to the character, but one cannot despite her voice is amazing. Wow, Dave is just okay with Blaine running back to his ex. just because he is that understanding, not even a comment that "yep, Kurt-kisses are really that amazing." VA are mindless, we must win drones, who are unrepentantly doing whatever it takes just to get their trophy.

Really, Glee?
Miss special snowflake Rachel Berry, who has done nothing the past half year than moping around her old higschool, hasn't gone back to Broadway to audition for the chorus in off-off Broadway shows nor attended any workshops or performing arts courses in the time she was blacklisted to hone her craft, doesn't only get accepted back at NYADA after she has foulmouthed the school and its principal, but also gets another Broadway show handed to her?!?
How ridiculous can it get?


I'm really starting to believe that RIB are doing it on purpose: giving too much to Rachel too soon, and reuniting Klaine in the worst way possible. It's like they're giving Fox and the fans all they wanted, but in the most twisted and unfair way they can come up with to screw everyone over one last time. Btw, add Brittana having to share their wedding with their rival ship to that list.

I mean...they are with no doubt horrible writers, but even RIB can't be that deaf and stupid that they think giving Rachel everything on a silver platter again and having Klaine get married the same episode they get back together after both probably have shacked other guys less than a week ago is in any way, shape or form giving fans what they want, now can they?

I've said it before and I'll say it again... after what Rachel pulled, the only way she'd ever set foot in a Broadway theater for a very extended period is if she buys a ticket. It would be outrageous enough for her to have even one of these options open to her, but both Broadway and NYADA? That goes beyond juvenile wish fulfillment into straight out "smoking the sparkly crack" territory.

It's not even that I'm frustrated that we're not going to get any insight into Kurt's aspirations being realized at any point (beyond the obnoxious Klaine wedding), but that Rachel has done absolutely nothing to deserve any of the accommodations and consideration she's being given as a matter of course. She's getting all these chances that no one in the real universe (or anyone not named Rachel Berry gets in the Glee universe) because she's Special. If they wrote an episode that showed in flashback that she sold her soul to the devil for all these special chances, I'd totally believe it. She is made of Teflon and absolutely nothing sticks to her. No real consequences hold for long without being totally expunged a week or two later. It's frustrating because the show clearly wants me to root for Rachel and I'm at a point where I would want to see her banned from even Branson.

The reality is that some things can't be undone just because you're regretful or because your talented. Rachel's screw up was so monumental that rightly she would be unemployable, but because this is Glee and the show can't stand to have this Special Snowflake struggle for even a few seconds, she's going to skate to the easiest comeback possible.

Still rolling my eyes at what lame excuse the show is going to come up and pull out of their asses   to have Santana more than OK with Klaine horning in on their wedding.  From the previews it looks like Kurt and Blaine are originally dressed (in white coats) as part of the wedding party, so it appears that it really is a last minute switch to have them also get married that day.
 
My guess it  is something related to Blaine's dad not there  (Anderson parents getting  divorced so a wedding expense is not feasible) and Glee will pull out we are all family card.  Brittany I could see being OK with it, but not my Santana.  .  Not gonna lie, I wish it was Santana and Brittany's big day exclusively, and this is coming from a big Kurt fan.
 
I'm laughing that Kurt was ambushed with the big proposal and Now probably his DAD (??) and friends and family are going to ambush him with a wedding.  Would love if there is a date rape drug also involved.   

However, from what I've seen Kurt looks gorgeous in both his white and black tux so I'm going to enjoy the pretty.

Did I mention Kurt looks gorgeous?

Well the "Transitioning" BTS  didn't involve Dot speaking, it was Alex and the director.  And the Santana focused -"What the World needs now" was basically Darren so i would say  this BTS is about par for the course for this year.

It's all meh at this point so I'm wryly amused that somehow "inexplicably" Chris is MIA for the first 8 episodes of Glee BTS, and even in the one with his big S6 SL, the Klaine wedding.  So I expect zero Chris BTS interviews, well  a one second shot for the finale, if that. 

Used to give Mia the benefit of the doubt, but she's so flagrant and unprofessional at this point, oh well, just a few more weeks and Chris is on to other projects.
