Glee season 6 discussion and spoiler thread--Part 1

Post  ChrisColferFan1 on 5/15/2014, 4:02 am

1. Kurt having his own storylines
2. Kurt having his POVs shown
3. Kurt free from Blaine or at least a more balance Klaine  relationship .I would prefer Kurt being free from Blaine
4,Independent Kurt. Not a doormat Kurt
5, Kurt having some success, even if it just a part in a local play
6. Kurt having more solos
7. Kurt have  more non-Klaine duets

Although, these are some of what I want for season 6,I would not mind if Glee is cancelled and there is no season 6. Or if Chris is  not in or only  in  a few episodes in season 6.

True, I doubt I will watch if it does return. Although, I would watch if what I want happens. which I doubt.

That is what I want most of all. Besides there is always fan fiction which would give me at least some of the  things I want. Like an independent Kurt. Also there would be no chance of writers ruining Kurt even more.

That would really be a laughable proposition. As if Chris would have the power (or the desire) to demand that Darren have a part in the film. I think that they are very aware that once Glee is done, so will be Darren's career unless he finds someone else's coat tails to cling to. Chris is shaking him off like a flea.

I hold no real expectations for a 6th season at this point given the pathetic ratings Glee has been pulling in. I think that once the network announced that they would negotiate over the exact number of episodes they'd order for next season, the decision has already been made to drastically reduce Glee on the calendar.

And honestly, unless the show was really going to pull a 180 and show Kurt having real professional successes in his own right and not just existing to cheer on Lea Rachel and Blaine, then they can leave things as they stand following the season 5 finale. I don't want to see Lea reenacting her greatest hits on her tv show based on Rachel in Glee. The less I see of Darren Criss mugging all over the place, the better. I would like to see Santana have a coherent storyline and not just used as a foil for other characters (she's been treated as badly as Kurt has been). But given who runs Glee and who the writers are, there's no point in expecting anything to be better. Lea Rachel will continue to be the Special Snowflake who gets gets everything handed to her on a silver platter no matter how badly she acts. Blaine will continue to be the right kind of gay and outshine his fiance at every turn. Kurt will always be the one who is made to struggle and Santana and Artie will be the afterthoughts. There's no point in expecting anything different.

Thank all the gods for fanfiction.

I had a conversation with my brother, who thinks Glee will still get 13 episodes and I shake my head. No matter how much they want to keep good relations with RIB they are all in business, and Glee doesn't provide money or recognition. I see 4-6 episodes. Enough to put out on a disc.

If we have finite time, which will mostly be Rachel's, Kurt will likely be lucky to get one outside of his marriage story, which I mention not because I desire it, but because I know they have to address it.

In my dreams it will be him designing something at Vogue and getting an opportunity to study with a master in France. I pick Vogue because there has been far too much emphasis on how great Blaine is that I don't want anyone else in Kurt's spotlight to have it be singing.

We will unfortunately have Blangst, but it would lead to the two postponing their wedding until after this internship. Blaine finally growing up enough to trust Kurt to be faithful, he can have his own musical success that we don't care about. So the Blainers (I refuse to call them Klainers, Kurt is rarely a factor in their delusions) can see Klaine having their humongous wedding and those who actually love Kurt can see some intrepid European stealing Kurt's battered heart away. Neither of which they actually have to show. I do hope to see General wedding planner Kurt before they actually put off the wedding, though.

Rachel, not that I care, but someone needs to point out to the child that in her rarified give you everything world she continues to have it all, but all is never enough. She always wants the next dream. Rachel can't just stand still and be happy she has friends that put up with her shit. So she takes her megastar status and uses it to help Artie get a film project made. Perhaps written by Puck, with some choreography by Mike, getting the original crew back to support their friend. Kurt will do the costuming, of course. End it with them doing the underdog thing, which they never shiuld have left. The writers just forgot there can be a difference between being bullied and being an underdog.

I'm thinking the bone thrown to RM is a short mini series episode arc, as someone said 4-6 episodes to be burned off on Friday night. Can't see a 13 episode arc at this point.

Glee would try wrap up these things:

Rachel's success in a TV show and her return to Lima
The re emergence of Lima's choir club
Onscreen wedding of Kurt and Blaine

The event tying everyone together would be the Klaine wedding.

True there are some epic nutcases out there, Chris got hate tweets over something he might or not have said earlier this year about wanting wanting Kurt to get a new love interest. Among many other reasons. I am 100% sure if Kurt had ended things with Blaine in the last episode of season 5, Chris would have gotten hate tweets. If he had Klaine break -up in his episode he would have gotten hate tweets, Maybe just a couple using bots, but he would not doubt have gotten some hate tweets. So it would not surprise me if he gets hate tweets over Darren not being in Noel.

True, it does always find a way to disappoint almost every one except (K)Blainers. So fan fiction our best bet .

Honestly: the show and the characters would be best off leaving everything the way it ended in the season 5 finale.

Thank God: free at last.  arghh
Although there will probably remain a hardcore residu of determined tinhatters for some years to come.

RIB would be so lame to give Kurt a big role in a British movie to explain his absence if Chris can't film much for Glee in the late summer and/or fall.  Rolling Eyes
Well, if that gets Kurt away from Blaine and in the vicinity of Adam Crawford.  sifflou

Yeah, I know my ideas are those of fan fiction.

What someone really needs to write is a little story that takes place in a writing class on How Glee Could Have Had it All, but Chose to Cater to The Vocal Few, Believing Them To Be Many. Or believing that the idea of Gay Marriage is more important than the right people marrying each other. I don't care if two guys, girls, three people whatever of any dang color gets married if it is because they love and support each other, and make that other person(s) stronger and valued. One shouldn't have to lessen who they are just to be married. I say this from the stand point of a happily forever single person who also believes that not being married is okay as well.

I would love that class, because I know they will unlock the key moment when Glee charted itself into dark waters. When Blaine lost his dapper, and became a perennial child, and somehow they attached this to the young, but old soul within Kurt.

even if glee comes back for half a season (i doubt it), the most chris will be in is the later half of that. what's the point? i'd rather watch chris' new movies/shows/whatever than hate-watch glee when he's on. i won't even bother to read about those episodes that he won't be in. there's absolutely nothing good will come out of my comments. i just don't want this negative life. chris gives me the positive things to talk about. glee is all but negative now.

As long as Chris has as much as a walk on on Glee I will watch it.  Razz

TBH, I liked his position at the end of S5, strong and determined to carve his career path his way. While I have my doubts on his giving his trust specifically to Blaine, I do agree with his general thought process that being in love with someone is a Leap of faith.

Kurt sang more in the back half then in any other season so I don't consider this the worst season ever. Season 4 was far worse.

Season 6 if Glee continues I Expect a short NY arc and then everyone in LA.

Glee Season 6 Spoilers: A Return to McKinley, Casting News!
by MJ on 06/10/2014

Glee star Jane Lynch took part in the FOX event, Girls Night Out, with other distaff FOX stars, including, Mindy Kaling and Yeardley Smith. During the event, she revealed that the Glee story line for Season 6 will bring the cast back to Lima.

“We’re all going to be coming back together in Ohio at McKinley” -@janemarielynch on the finale season of #glee #foxfyc #emmys

— FOX (@FOXTV) June 10, 2014

Jane confirms what I have heard from a source. Lea Michele told David Letterman during a recent appearance that she’d be “doing something very different than [she'd] ever done on the show before.”

When Dave pressed her for details she said that Rachel was “going to have a different role. She’s going to be in a location you’ve seen her in before, but doing something different.”

What I heard is that Rachel will return to McKinley to put the Glee club back together. In effect, she’d be the new Mr. Schue.

An idea that’s also been kicking around is to have the Rachel-led New Directions go head to head once again with their old nemesis, Vocal Adrenaline. But this time, with Mr. Schue (Matthew Morrison) as director, and Blaine (Darren Criss), or maybe another character, working as his assistant.

Out of the newbies, only Alex Newell, has been asked to return, for a few episodes. He plays the transgender character, Unique.

With Jane confirming that everyone will be back in Ohio, it sounds like each returning cast member will have a role to play in this new scenario. At this point, I have no idea which of the other cast members are returning or in what capacity.

Also, there’s also filming to be set in both New York City and Los Angeles, I hear. You’ll remember that Season 5 left off with Blaine and Kurt (Chris Colfer) living together in NYC, Artie (Kevin McHale) still studying at a Brooklyn film school, and Rachel heading off to shoot a pilot in Los Angeles. I haven’t heard, but I’m assuming that season 6 will end up in Ohio, but won’t begin there.

No scripts have been written
yet. So you know. Stuff can still change.

Season 6 will have a total of 10-12 episodes, I heard filming could wrap up as early as December.

Oh lord... that is just awful. I really feel sorry for the Rachel stans that she's going to apparently sacrifice her career to end up back in Lima. They've got to be flipping out over this.

The flame out is going to be spectacular indeed.

Not only Rachel, but Blaine too apparently.
Even with a timejump and Blaine possibly having finished NYADA it would be a really stupid move for a young starting performer to leave New York(!) at the beginning of his career to be an assistant to a simple teacher in the middle of nowhere.   Evil or Very Mad

So promising Broadway star and tv-actress Rachel, NYADA student Blaine and probably intellectually challenged Sam with-his-parents-not-even-living-there too will all return to hellmouth Lima, Ohio, giving up a year of their budding solo careers in the process, to fight out some stupid childish battle between 2 high school(!!!!!) show choirs, against or with their former high school teacher (who doesn't even has a degree in music!).
Right, that's not unrealistic at all.  Rolling Eyes  Mad

And in these showchoirs they will be leading a bunch of unknowns not only to them (Rachel couldn't even remember Ryder's name last time she visited McKinley) but also to the tv audience (with only Unique returning, and all the other 2.0 characters and Jesse gone).

Lol, of all the characters in Glee egocentric Rachel and me!me!me! Blaine are the most unlikely people to altruisticly lead other people to the spotlight on stage, with maybe the exception of dumb blondes Brittany and Sam (and Sam will be there).

And another thing: how will Rachel and Blaine (and Sam?) get paid for this? Last time I checked Mr. Shue did everything for ND for free, and though Vocal Adrenaline pays for their directors I doubt that attentionwhore, mic hogging Blaine would be interested in a job as a simple show choir's director's assistant.
Or will they just move back in with their parents after their folks spent many thousands of dollars on their kids' education and move to New York?
Jeez, this is sooooooooo stupid.  beam

Also, how nice of RIB to make Mr. Shue, the one who saved the original glee club and who we were supposed to root for, the direct rival/enemy of McKinley's New Directions.
So this show will probably end with the original protagonist losing the ultimate prize they were all after right from the beginning.
That's kinda.....disgusting.  vomit2

Hopefully Kurt will be spared from most of this. Thank God for 'Noel' and Chris being busy for a couple of months away from this trainwreck.
Let Kurt be happily building up his career in New York in the mean time, only to be mentioned every once in a while and have a phonecall with his fiance talking about the inevitable kledding.   dryy

Lol, they're so desperate now. Either that or Ryan Murphy simply won't let go of ND and Lima. Or both, lbr. Dear Lord, Glee really manages to get even worse than they already were each and every time, don't they? blinkk
Wow.  smajli
