I'm calling it now, btw, I think Chris/Chord friendship is genuine. I think Chord/Darren is totally manufactured and I think they were just trying to create a real life broship buzz like other shows have (Teen Wolf; Supernatural, etc).

I wish they would wrap up the "Funny Girl" SL because it keeps Rachel separated from the rest of the cast.  With Naya gone, no one else is connected to this production but Rachel.

Darren is already clownish in mannerisms, maybe he finally has shoes that fit

i think chord gets along fine w/ everybody. blam is a fictional friendship just like klaine and hummbelberry and other relationships on the show. sometimes the actors happen to be close friends (chris and amber, chris and lea) but these are all professionals and they will ACT in any scene with anyone they are partnered with. you don't have to be lovers to play lovers. you don't have to be bffs to play best friends. the nature of an acting career is that you work with a lot of people, most of whom you will never see again after the project is over. even those who forget strong friendships doesn't mean they will work together again in the future. we on the outside will never know the real dynamics of these relationships.

But I'm glad to see Chris in NY (Washington Square Park, for those who didn't know - recognized it immediately) and working with the rest of the cast. It's a shame that they couldn't film last weekend when it was in the 50s because we're in the middle of a real nasty cold snap (nearly froze on my way to work this morning). And if he and Chord and Kevin are friends outside of work, more power to them!

Wasn't there some hard feelings between Chord and Darren after season two when Darren was made a regular and Chord wasn't?

Chord has definitely benefited professionally from being part of Blam. He would have had nearly as many songs or screentime if they didn't latch him onto Darren (and let's face it, they could have just as easily made Blartie a thing as they did Blam).

I don't really care if they are real friends or not, but I do know that Chord has to be a big fan of Blam because he could have easily been one of the ones who was let go by this point if he wasn't part of it.

Interesting that they are now shooting back to back Saturdays for Glee.  I wonder with  the stripped down cast they can "afford" to work regularly on weekends now for some convoluted reasons.

I think it's the fact that we've got a very stripped down cast, plus the fact that the show is supposed to run straight through to the summer break. Without the usual breaks and mini-hiatuses that we usually get over the course of the season, they've got no choice but to accelerate the filming schedule. Not if they want to get every expisode filmed on time.

I see a lot of working weekends and late nights for the cast.

It's definately Downtown, but what I don't understand is that why are they singing it live? As oppose to playback. Are they just doing this little bit "live singing" or are they getting the melodie to their earpieces?

Native NYer here, who has spent way too much time in that area not to immediately recognize the location. They're filming in Washington Square Park, which is right by NYU and in Greenwich Village.

Now if Kurt and co. end up filming at my favorite izakaya down on St. Mark's Place, my head may just explode.

All kidding aside, I miss Hummelberry together walking in the streets of NY like last year. They looked so so pretty! My babies!
