^ does it really matter? the whole thing is just entertainment for the tv audiences. it's not about justice.
congrats to Lea and all the other "winners" - whoever they are.

Ranwing wrote:The problem with the TCA rules is that we have no way of knowing if Lea got the award due to fan votes, or because she was selected. It's the primary reason that this "award" is really meaningless.
Oh I don't disagree that TCA has little legit awards cred, just pointing out that Lea has enough of a fanbase that it's more than plausible she won the voting outright. I mean Chris has won 3 TCA's himself.
What's more interesting to me is that even FOX couldn't pull the trigger to give some of the other Glee actors the prizes. With Naya I think she's popular enough she could have won or garnered a top 4 vote, but I honestly think it would have been beyond awkward to give an award to a Glee cast member who for all intents and purposes has been booted off the show.
The big deal is that FOX went through the motion one last time of giving Glee some nominations, as pathetic as they transparently were (Chord as the lead and most popular Glee male actor? Darren as the defacto male lead nominated as "Scene stealer" ? WTF) and yet at the end either they didn't gather enough legit votes or FOX just doesn't feel the need to push/market Glee. The Glee cast with the exception of Lea didn't even show up, and in previous years they were always a large contingent, heck Glee cast hosted the show 3 different years.
With Glee off the prime time schedule this fall the cast is going to be even more irrelevant at outside events/promo/marketing stuff by FOX. FOX has enough on the table just trying to regain some of their demographics/ratings mojo.
The only question left is whether Glee will maintain marginal enough ratings to actually air those 13 episodes that will be in the can.

Re: General Glee Discussion Thread--Part 6
thanks! why was darren "scene stealer"? he was given the most screen time. he could only steal his own scenes. Naya on the other hand stole everything consider how little she was on.
and they now consider chord the male lead (aka Cory 2.0)? what a joke.
glad they didn't win. but it was still a joke consider how silly the "award" is.

Re: General Glee Discussion Thread--Part 6
Is nice to see how Lea is still popular among voters. However, this week there was a riot as was posted on twitter the winners are pick up few days before the voting ends;so as you have pointed the network decides everything. So I don't know how truly is TCA. In addition, they are using youtubers now to get more viewers.

Is it the Emmy's today as I just read someone saying Jane Lynch won an Emmy for Hollywood Game Night for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality Competition Program?

I had to go in the tag as there is virtually nothing on my dash.
This is the Creative Arts Emmy's.
The Primetime Emmy's are on August 23rd.

Re: General Glee Discussion Thread--Part 6
Jonathan Groff who looked so hot was one of the presenters.
While I expect Matt Morrison, Lea Michele, Chris Colfer to get more opportunities/success post Glee, the one actor out of Glee who is bigger than the show itself at this point and had already made the career adjustment and will no doubt get more gig is Jane Lynch. Her NBC game show seems secure for the next few years and I'm sure she's fielding multiple TV/movie offers as we speak.
Congrats on her Emmy!

Interesting it is Netflix.
Bet he had a lot of fun hanging out with the cast from Orange is the New Black.
They did win about four Emmy's or so.
Netflix are doing Punisher at the moment and will come out some time next year.

I think everyone guessed he would nominate Kevin and Chris.
Chord just did it.
This is such a worthwhile cause.

I think lot of Colferites are loving Grant at this moment do you think Chris will do the challenge?
Re: General Glee Discussion Thread--Part 6
He might, but then again a lot of people have just donated. Kevin and Grant having already done it does give him a little pressure though.

I know, Chris either do it with a huge panic or then plan some sort of elaborate plan. There has been a huge array of the amount of water that has been thrown at people. I hope if he does he'll do it with as much water as Grant did, he had huge amount of it.

Well, Oprah has done it and Kristin Chenoworth is doing it on Sunday.
She will call out Chris apparently.

From Glee so far Jenna, Chord and Kevin have accepted the challenge and doused themselves , so Chris better not wimp out.
