I hope that they use most or all of it in the show. They at least have to do enough to show the true emotion of the song. I really love the song, so I can't wait for this!

^I think what people mean is that it was Kurt who was first in love with Blaine, instead of the other way around. Sure, Blaine did all the flirting, but to me it seems he's just a touchy-feely guy who flirts with everyone, guys, girls and the furniture.
Kurt didn't do any of the pursueing, but neither did Blaine (as he never really made a move at Kurt). Kurt just was pining for a long while and Blaine was oblivious. But when Blaine finally realized he wanted Kurt, he got him in the same episode.

Kurt was passive, didn't make a first move towards Blaine and waited for Blaine to make the move at him because he (Kurt) was severely burnt by his experiences with Finn and Sam. Finn still called him toxic for other guys to be around in 2x04, his dad gave him a reality check when it came to Kurt being interested in Sam in the same episode, and in 2x06 Kurt met Blaine. In the mean time Karofsky was (sexually) harassing him.
So I think it's very understandable that Kurt decided to wait with actively 'pursueing' and making a move at Blaine till he was absolutely sure that his feelings would be returned and his advances were appreciated.


As for Chase being Kurt's LI: I believe Dan Domenech himself or someone in his team said that he would be a serious threat to Klaine, when the Vogue story began. And his character's name 'Chase' sort of indicates that, because Kurtsies have wanted someone to 'chase' Kurt for a long time. It would indeed be a pity if Dan is not used more on Glee (I would love to hear him duet with Chris). Personally I have not given up hope, and keep praying that the Paul character will be for Quinn or someone else.
It is true that Glee is wasting the best actors and singers they hire. Just look at Cheyenne Jackson, John Schneider, and the Rachel Berry dads. And yes: I also was so excited for Kirk from the Gilmore Girls being in Glee, and he hardly even spoke.

Thank you so much for your response Marie, it makes a lot more sense to me after you explained it. And I agree, Kurt probably didn't want to make any romantic moves on anyone after how horribly he was treated for liking Finn and Sam. I still feel sad about that, poor Kurt. I hope Paul or Chase or whomever is the mystery guy who shows interest in Kurt(and I'm fine with either!), I hope Kurt's relationship with him will heal any of those old wounds and help Kurt feel comfortable with showing interest in other guys again. I hope he helps Kurt see that he's wanted and loved, and gives him back some of the self-esteem and self-confidence that all his recent losses and being cheated on seem to have taken away from him.

As for Being Alive, I'm soooooooo excited we're getting the entire song!!! I can't wait to hear another epic, emotional ballad from him, like AIWNSG!! Chris is going to sound so incredible.

Maybe they will only use the solo parts in the show (because who would Kurt sing it with at the Winter Showcase?), but they might use the whole version for iTunes.
I wonder who the other voices will be? (Please let Finn be one of them!)

Or maybe they'll intertwine Kurt's audition as a solo with others singing at other locations (like they did with NYSOM), but I hope not. I want Kurt to get all the attention.

From what I understand, the rumors are that Chris is singing the whole thing himself, playing all the various characters. If that is the case, it is going to be absolutely stunning. We know that Chris, of all the cast, is the best actor when it comes to playing a character during a vocal performance. For him to be playing multiple parts in the same number is going to be an a momement of unparalleled epicness.

I need them to release this song immediately. It breaks my heart that I've got to sit through the watered down Dark Side tonight (while I'm recovering from my turkey and stuffing overload) and I've got to wait weeks for Chris's solo. Not fair!

While catching up on any spoilers I might have missed during the Glee Forum melt down, I stumbled upon this. It's an article by Shangela, one of the drag queens appearing at the kiki:

In this episode I appear as an acquaintance of Parker's character who attends a Thanksgiving dinner in the New York apartment of Kurt and Rachel. Think turkey. Think drag queens. Then think full-on, 20-plus-person, sick'ning dance sequence to the Scissor Sisters hit "Let's Have a Kiki." All I can say is, "Y'all aren't ready!"

They did. You know, there's a moment when I thought Rachel and Brody were dancing Gangnam Style lol but we know that's not possible.

Here are 2 previews of 4x08 songs:

- Live while you're young - Warblers (Sebastian lead).

- Homeward Bound/Home - graduates without Hummelberry.

The Warblers song would be tolerable (with Grant leading), but the song is overproduced when it is supposed to sound a-capella.

The mash-up song of the graduates makes me long for the old Glee and what could have been this season.

I want the old characters back, I loved them all ... even if the writing sucked I could at least enjoy watching the characters, the people I cared about. I loved hearing song and knewing without reading it who sings what... There are moments when I think I finally accepted the fact that I won't see them and that there are new people on the show instead of them. But the fact is I didn't...I wish it was them sitting in choir room and Rachel and Kurt with "Mr. Shue, if I may”were also there with them..I want their group numbers, their interaction, watching old episodes made me realize how much I was attached to them. I know I am too sentimental but that's how I feel.
