US Weekly also wrote an article about Chris' second YA novel on the same day: link.
According to US Weekly 'Stranger Than Fan Fiction' will be released in the winter of 2017.
I can't wait for the shade and snark about Chris' dealings with the more rabid 'fans', the tinhatters, and any other crazy sides of fandom and fame, whether subtle or (hopefully) not so subtle.

This book will most likely be his chance to vent, which I am looking forward to with all the shade he will be writing.

I would imagine that Little Browne wants him first to finish off the Land of Stories so I would imagine this one being published at the end of year 2017.

If say, this book is published in 2017 it will be more than 2 years removed from an active Glee fandom.
Chris will have some lattitude to snark , but I also think he will do his shade with some subtlety along with wit, and yes some heart.
At the same time, it seems that the character is on a roadtrip with fans, so I would think that it's going to have some very positive perspective on the dynamic.
It's just incredible that Chris has a full writing career that will eclipse even his Glee career, I seem to recall he's committed to his publisher for writing book at least until 2020.

He is so prolific one thing I noticed was his comments that he had been screen writing to! And that was plural! I wonder who he has been writing for? Apart from Disney

Love the title!! Im most intriguied by this book. I love YA, and sbl was great, so definitely looking forward to this. The plot is so unique too. I never would have suspected this type of story. Should be a fun read!
I remember one of the first articles that got wind of the book mentioned porential movie tie in or aomething of that nature. Would be cool!

Apparently Chris is working on screenplays, would not be surprised to have this YA novel already being given the 'cinematic' version by Chris.

As the text in bold, where did you read that? WOW this boy is really busy, but I'm so glad he is focusing on writing, though I miss his face on my screen and his voice too, but I know how much he loves to write, so good for him.

writing and acting go hand in hand for chris. the beauty of writing is that you can pretty much do it alone (not counting agents/editor/illustrator etc. of course). With acting it's pretty much all collaborative work involving a large number of people and lots of money. There need to be careful scheduling for all those involved; many people may have decision making powers that can interfere w/ your vision at one time or another. With writing, all he needs is his laptop and a moment of free time, and he has total creative freedom.
I believe by the end of 2020 (or whenever the book contract ends), if chris is still hitting the best seller list, we can expect him to continue writing and publishing. this guy will never exhaust his creative juice.

Ideas enough, but time or inspiration for writing...nope. Once again Chris leaves us far behind at his young age when it comes to achieving goals and productivity.
That's 3 books in 1 calendar year. Impressive.
And it seems part of Chris' holiday is also for research for this YA book:

I don't think u can preorder anything that's not complete yet. Think about GOT. that book will never be finished even after HBO completes the whole series. OT anybody watching the new season yet? Please don't spoil anything.
