Chris/Kurt requests and recommendations

I know we had this thread on GF, and i always liked to read it there.
maybe an idea to post all your favorite fanfics, video's, etc?
If this is not allowed, well, just delete it then

It's allowed (well, until Karen confirms it lol). But I don't read fanfics, so don't count on me
Just one thing, since I don't know much about all this, keep in mind the board is visible to all public. That doesn't mean, as far as I'm concerned , you can't post +17/+18/+21 or +65 fanfics, I don't really care lol, but there will be something to do or to add to warn/hide to people uncomfortable with it. Again Karen.

I don't mind people posting links to things, but it is against the guidelines of forumotion to post pornographic material, which is something I agree with. Right now we know most everyone who posts on this board, but in the future, we don't know if minors will join us or not. So, I when I set up this board, I included this guideline:

3. No pornographic material. Posting pornographic pictures, fan fiction, and artwork is not allowed on this board. Posting links to sites containing this type of material is not allowed either.

I made the mistake of going into the password protected area of the Glee Forum when I joined there, and I was so bothered by the stuff people were posting there that I came close to completely leaving the board. I do not want to see links to fanfics or fan artwork that are graphically sexual in nature. People can read that stuff all they want, but I don't want this board used to promote it.

yeah, been there once too. all I can say is it doesn't agree w/ my digestive system. Maybe I am too old.

Actually, the fics I'm about to recommend are probably well known to anyone who ever reads Glee fanfiction. So this is more for those of you who've never read any fanfics and who are interested in trying it out.

1) The Mostverse by Miggy --> Link: http://glee.redshirts.net/

Multi-chapter Kurt and Rachel future AU fic about their life together as flatmates in New York City. Kurt goes into fashion and design, while Rachel discovers that it is much easier to be a star in Lima instead of NYC. It's one of the best Hummelberry friendship fics out there.

2) Little Numbers by iknowitainteasy --> Link: http://iknowitainteasy.livejournal.com/

Klaine AU fic entirely told in the form of text messages between the Glee characters, but mainly Kurt and Blaine. The amazing thing about this fic is that the writer had managed to shape the personalities of all the characters (everyone is pretty much in character and highly like-able, even Blaine) through conversation alone. The development of the Klaine friendship, and later romance, is very nuanced and subtle.

It's still a work-in-progress at the time this post is made.

I won't judge. I have been writing the stuff. I started writing mine as a joke, but it's kind of fun. LOL

I like FF too, but I don't find Glee particularly interesting to be honest. Klaine are too sqicky clean/asexual in canon to me that I find it weird to read about them doing anything, and I like my FF to be R, or NC-17. I don't really ship Kurt with anyone , except Rachel , but given that that paring ain't exactly popular, I don't read. I tried a few with Blaine, Sebastian and even Karofsky, but the writing and characterization leave a lot to be desired so I just don't really care. I'll stick to my twisted HP fiction world.

Although I did read that Kurt/Rachel in NY one (The Mostverse by Miggyand) and it's excellent. I recommend it to everyone.

That's me. I've been working on my next chapter, and it's going to have a cliff hanger to something that no one will see coming.

I don't really mind x-rated writing as long as it's about kurt and not chris. what bothers me is when I see fan art of Chris/kurt in pornographic depictions. Worst yet, manip of chris/kurt's face on a bare body. I can tolerate an unknown person in graphic ways because, hey, I am not menopausal yet! but chris... it's like seeing your own kid in those pictures... you know what I mean!

I made the same mistake too and omg I was so overwhelming with all those graphic things, I don't know how some people has that kind of imagination, well imagination has not limits so is ok but write about it or DRAW about it...lol So I understand your point of view.

I understand so much Delight, because I have to confess that I'm frequent reader of glee fan fic so I'm glad I find someone who share that with me. You know, I read Mostverse about two months ago or more and though is longer than other fics I have read, I like it is like the spin-off about Hummelberry I would like to see hahhaa

I love fanfic! Love love love it. And I've read more of it than is probably healthy. So no worries Delight, Brisallie and I will be fanfic fans with you.

When I get some free time on my hands I'll probably rec some here, I have tons bookmarked.

Also, I too have read Miggy's "Mostverse" and it's a fantastic fic. I really really like that one. Well-written, realistic, and the development of Hummelberry's friendship is really well done and entertaining and 'organic'. The only set back of that fic is it was written around the beginning of season 2, so it doesn't take into account that Kurt and Rachel are actually best friends in canon - it assumes that they were never really close at all until the college years. Even so, that's not really a detriment to the story, it's excellent regardless. Lots of great, lovely Hummelberry - and even some Furt! - moments.

I've also read the other fic Delight recommended, "Little Numbers", and I agree that it is a cute, entertaining story as well (though it's sorta taken an angsty turn in recent chapters)

Again, I don't know why you waste your time on other fanfic than mine. You'll be shocked by the twist I threw into chapter 10:

I read a lot of fanfic this past summer and was disappointed when the season started and what was in my head, did not match what was on the screen!! I guess I couldn't separate one fiction from another and the show was so much more poorly written!!!

Alas, Figgurt has the potential to break my brain, so forgive me if I'm steering clear away from your fanfic for now  

I'm glad to see fellow fanfic-readers here on this thread  

I just remembered the very first Glee fanfic I've ever read, which got me interested in the characters in the first place. I read it before I ever started watching Glee, so it took me a while to put faces to the names of the characters. As to why I was reading fanfiction of a TV show which I haven't even watched at the time... Well, let's just say that it wouldn't be the first time I've done so.

This is a fun Puckurt fic with plenty of humour and just the right amount of angst, which incorporates a lot of what had happened in canon in the F13 of season 1 of Glee. The plot is similar to that of quite a few teenage romance movies, where person A helps person B to get romantically involved with person C, but somewhere along the line, person A and person B fall in love.

This was the fic which made me go 'It's a damn shame that the Glee writers decided to keep Puck heterosexual.' Most people are baffled by the popularity of Puckurt because it was a ship that was never hinted at in canon. However, this story managed to show the potential of such a ship.
