Well that should be interesting

Naya looks amazing, but I'm still terrified for her rendition of Don't Rain On My Parade.

She may surprise us and be really up to the challenge. We've all said that Chris could sing any type of music. Naya may be able to pull this off. We'll find out on Monday.

LIKE SERIOUSLY !!!!! If I rolled my eyes at this particular fact any harder they would fall out of my head.Ranwing wrote:Buenos wrote:How does Santana keep from going "Basic Instinct"?
No clue! But if that dress were any tighter, it would be inside of her.
I really have no clue what direction they're trying to take the FG storyline in. To hire an understudy that's about as different from the lead actress as it's possible to get (in both appearance and performance style) really makes no sense. But then, nothing about this storyline makes any sense. Admittedly I am curious to see Naya's take on DROMP because even if it doesn't compare to Lea's, it should at least be interesting.

In a weird way I could see an ethnic blind "funny girl " Fanny with Santana but not , as mentioned by others, as such a diametrically opposite leading lady type to Rachel.
At the least with Santana I don't think we have to worry about a carbon copy of Barbs.

Re: Kurt Hummel Spoiler Thread - part 21
I would have absolutely no issue with a Hispanic Fanny. Or a black Fanny. Or a Japanese Fanny. Some of my favorite performances were done by actors that did not have the same ethnicity of the characters they were playing. One of my favorite Hamlets was Korean (amid a cast of blondes) and the last time I saw Chicago on Broadway, the actress playing Velma Kelly was black (we jokingly asked if she was black Irish).
The issue with casting Santana is that an understudy needs to meld seamlessly into the show and not stand out as a big contrast to the actress that she is covering. It makes no sense to hire a lead who is pretty much the standard image that people have of this character (as in very ethnically Jewish - preferably Easter European), and have her understudy being such a marked shift not just in appearance, but performance style. The audience who sees the show on a night when Santana is called to perform is going to see a markedly different show than the nights that Rachel would be performing. It's such an out of order casting choice that really makes no sense. They went with Rachel because she seemed an ideal fit to how most people see this character, but then they also went with Santana who would challenge the audience to see the character in a new way.

Oooooooohhhhh, I want Starkurt NOW!!!
BEST sneak peek EVVA!!!!!!
(even when it's meant purely in a friendly way)
Poor Klainers.
Saving the best for last, eh Glee? I hope the enthusiasm of the BTS people of Glee that was very obvious in this sneak peek, plus the fandom reaction, also reaches the writers room and we'll get more Starkurt.
But this is Glee: the show of wasted opportunities, so I have no expectations beyond what was shown in the sneak peek. But it gives us something to look forward to in the next episode, and we'll get Chris and Adam singing a glam rock song!

I think this little kiss also kind of settles it that Elliot is not straight.Ranwing wrote:Thank you Glee for finally giving me something that I want.
I have a feeling that this little kiss was for Kurt to tease Blaine with how close Kurt and Elliot are getting, and Blaine is going to very much regret his oh so well meaning advise. And I'm going to love every second of it.

Lol, Chris probably had so much fun with that stripper pole. It's really visible he was enjoying himself with this scene (and working with Adam overall, I bet).
I'm also glad that Adam Lambert said he was very happy with how the song sounds: imo this means that Chris did a good job with it.

I have not seen the Glee fandom this excited in ages.
Even ones that have stopped watching will be watching. Some haven't watched this show since Season 3.
Kurt is a man magnet.

I'm actually really disappointed Blaine isn't singing this song. It's one of the few songs that I think is perfect for Blaine (along with "Love the One You're With." Those are Blaine's theme songs.

Kevin has the perfect voice for a song like that. I was hoping for him or Matt on this one. I mostly wanted to make sure that it wasn't going to be Grease Boy singing it to Kurt more than anything.

I'm in love with how pleased with himself Elliot/Starchild looks after that sneaky little smooch. He looks like the cat that ate the canary.

True, but knowing glee if they did either it would be played as romantic and not creepy/stalkerish/fickle
Re: Kurt Hummel Spoiler Thread - part 21
hooray! in 3 days we will see kurt and starfish kissing! so excited! nothing else matters. i am not even reading all the other junk.
OT: when I finished my hike today I walked past a "farm" - well it has at least couple of llamas and a horse and some other animals in it. i have no idea that it is but hubby called one of hte llamas across the fence and he/she walked over to greet us. i sticked my face to him and he sniffed me. thank god he didn't lick me but he was gently rubbing my face and made me a little ticklish. i then took a selfie w/ him while he was rubbing my ears w/ his snout. so cute! he's got really soft and course hair. them llamas are such sweet creatures!
