Blaine visiting porn sites and distancing himself from Kurt again reminded me a lot about the DWS debacle and Blaine's cheating. It's a real pattern now, and there's no way it's not deliberately put there by the writers.
I just wonder where they are going with this? Is it to get to a break up? Or is it because in some perverted way Ryan thinks used-to-be-femme Kurt deserves no better than an asshole like Blaine, weirdly combined with Ryan also thinking that Blaine is such a catch he's allowed to be an asshole?   

"I feel like you don't need me anymore" a direct Blaine quote reminds me of some similar sentece he said either inDWS, TBU or 501 in the McKinley courtyard. Can someone remember?

And I agree that the next logical step according to canon is for Blaine to seek that attention from somewhere else, right? Whether that is from his future benefactors or from another sex encounter. Which is weird considering how both Blaine and Kurt found Sam's abstinence suggestion ridiculous: so I guess their sex life works on some level.   

Blaine gets sex from Kurt, they seem to enjoy it but then again he seems to like the one sided sex, where he doesn't have to really get emotionally involved, because it's a hassle, hence the porn. I said it way back during TBU that I think Blaine is very, very cabable of seeing sex and love as separate things and probably would find no quarrels about an open relationship. But because this is Glee he must be a dreamboat that only cheats...occasionally. And that is why he isn't really, at this point, even jealous of Kurt getting attention but more that the attention isn't on him.

He's the worst kind of partner who only wants to take and somehow this stuffing the food in his body is a sign of him wanting to have all the fun and none of the bother?

At NYADA, Kurt is the center of attention during a stage combat class. He’s making the most of his late blooming, and feeling hella good about his body and talent. Blaine, on the other hand, is shoving Cheetos in his face, while his inner monologue spews his jealous insecurities about Kurt’s newfound hottiness and confidence. When he confessed his surprise at Kurt being a sexual object, Glee fans let out a collective sigh. Where have you been, Blaine?!

It is bad that they only see Kurt as hot because he is no longer effeminate.

And Chris is now buff, they notice him.

The more I think about Blaine's behavior this week, the angrier I get with him. Blaine's body issues were more a symptom rather than the actual disease (although sitting in weapons class and shoving Cheese Puffs in your mouth as fast as you can swallow them doesn't help). Blaine is someone who up until now really never had to really work to get the kind of attention and rewards that he had previously enjoyed. Good things just fell into his lap even when he wasn't trying (like being named validvictorian). Other boys paid attention to him and waited on his every word. He's the kind of guy who kind of coasted through high school and now finds that his previous tactics no longer work and doesn't know how to cope.

Kurt, on the other hand, has had to work brutally hard for everything he's gotten in life (which is precious little) and what he's enjoying now at NYADA is a direct result of his hard work, dicipline and dedication. His body is gorgeous because he now exercises and is careful about what he eats. He's doing well in his classes because he's worked hard and proven himself. No one is just handing Kurt anything. He's earning his place.

What I got out of Blaine was a lot of resentment about the shift in the power dynamics (as he put it). Things were fine for Blaine when Kurt was the one standing in the shadow of his "alpha gay" boyfriend (and Blaine seemed unaware or uncaring of how often Kurt was having to suck of dissappointment at being passed over all time for things that he wanted). Blaine was happy when Sabastian was panting around him and mocking Kurt to his face (not cutting off contact until he got the rock salt slushy). Blaine didn't show too much concern when Kurt was cast in a shit part for their high school musical while the lead was just handed to him. But now that Kurt is finally doing well and being regarded as a "star", Blaine has all these insecurity issues popping out. It was okay when things were unbalanced in Blaine's favor, when Kurt was the one who had to shoulder being the weaker, less desirable half of their relationship. But now that the shoe is somewhat on the other food, Blaine becomes a whiny, angry, resentful mess.

And I did get a clear sense of resentment on Blaine's part during his voice over during the weapons class, when he's looking at how he was regarded in high school vs how Kurt was. That he was the one fawned over and that everyone wanted to be with. He was the one that was friends with all the guys. As for Kurt... well, Kurt was Kurt (and the amount of distain that came out there was really telling - what a nice way to think about the guy that you're supposed to be head over hells in love with). Kurt hung out with girls. Kurt wasn't sexy or attractive and none of the guys were fighting to be his friend. So Blaine does what is now a very clear pattern of behavior that he falls back on when he feels threatened or insecure - he pushes Kurt away. He tries to sabatoge Kurt's diet with fattening foods because if he has to be fat, so does Kurt. He attacked Kurt in the weapons class during fencing practice (and got his ass kicked for it). He withheld sex. Rather than focusing on doing things to build himself up, he wanted to put Kurt back in his place (behind him) so that he could feel secure again.

And Kurt's response? A carry-over from what we've seen from the past few weeks from him. Not backing down and refusing to be shoved into whatever box the person he's arguing with (Rachel/his father/Blaine) wants to shove him into and standing up for himself. Demanding to be treated as Blaine's equal and not a scared, weak little boy that Blaine loved feeling like he needed to protect. Offering support but not coddling. Blaine was right about one thing... Kurt is so beyond him now that it's a wonder why Kurt stays with him. Hopefully one day Kurt will come to his senses and give up ont his spoiled, self-indulgent, selfish child.

It's ironic it never occurs to these shit writers that they could have fun portraying Klaine as (finally) THE power couple of NYADA.

It would make more sense then when it was expected at McKinley, but instead they are obsessed with pitting and comparing Kurt to Blaine.

If only they used this to produce a clever storyline, I'd rejoice, but Ryan seems dead set on his soulmate/engame idea.

It is a pity, because they had the elements to show a "real" story: that growing up means evolving and sometimes changing, and that young love sometimes doesn't get past these changes. It also could have been the story of how cheating damages a relationship deeper than you think, that the feeling lingers and the trust is not there.

In the case of Kurt and Blaine, it could have shown that sometimes, you think you're still in love with someone, but in reality you're in love with being with that someone initially meant, but not the person anymore. For Kurt, it could even have been consistent with the awful engagement SL, that Kurt wanted to make it work with the memory of how he felt before when he started dating Blaine, but slowly realized that he, in fact, had changed and that they were no longer a match. I had this great scene in my head where Santana would bug Kurt until she made him realize that he didn't love Blaine anymore., in her Santana kind of way: bitchy but with Kurt's interests at heart.

But this is Glee and Kurt, and with his luck, he will get married to Mr Whiny-Mc-Smugface before he is 21. Oh, the lost opportunities...

Probably if this weren't Glee, I would expect some realism as Kurt experimenting more in his life, such as a new couple. And I'm not saying this because I dislike blaine, but because I see how their relationship isn't the same that before. For me these two guys are going for different paths; Kurt has learnt and is more mature as a person, while Blaine isn't. I might be wrong, but it seems Blaine is someone who needs the other person, in this case his couple, to be at his same level or lower, if not the insecurities appear. Something that stuck in my mind is he mentioned he needs to be like the protector, but Kurt doesn't need that anymore. So sincerely, besides of their huge love, and I'm not even sure of that, I don't know what attach them now. Oh my bad, I know what attach them, the idea of being endgame...according to ryan.

This is where Glee being so obsessed in presenting Blaine as the dreamboat and not actually giving him character development when they could have, especially last year, has bit themselves squarely in the ass, because other than getting fawning attention 24/7, there is no "there" to Blaine. He's needy, insecure and he loves Kurt, other than that, what is there?

Kurt definitely has flaws, but he's so driven in what he wants it leaps out of the screen. Kurt is hungry and yes he gets frustrated, but he emanates such strength and will power that you get the feeling nothing can keep him down.

Once they took out the worn out " maligned gay in Lima" out of the equation, the difference between the two is gaping. There is a definite power shift in NY, and even if this Socialite takes a liking to Blaine, it doesn't negate that Kurt is hot, sexy and admired by others. It's almost as if Glee finally woke up and saw what the audience has known all along, that Kurt is a damn attractive man who should be ogled.

@Buenos,I wonder as Blaine hasn't have a truly character development, why his fans see it as OOC when he has this sort of needy,inferior reactions? But the irony is that us we're not his fans we saw this another side of him more clearly. I personally think that side of him has always been there, but never came out as he felt sure in his environment, praised, so on. So also I was thinking is that why he started to eat more, as a way to calm his anxiety.

man, the levels of blaine's immaturity,vanity, entitlement and self-importance, particularly when in relation to kurt, have skyrocketed. these two people aren't suited to be in a simple relationship with each other, let alone ready to be married. i smell a speedy divorce if it happens.

you know kurt has always been more catty of the two and one would say insecure about his talent and appearance, and even in his darkest hours of envy for blaines success and popularity, he never exhibited the behavior we saw from blaine last night. i mean, how much of an insecure asshole are you, to actually sabotage the well-being of your supposed "soul mate" just so you would feel better about yourself. because it wasn't that there was someone at nyada that was popular, hot, a hero in the eyes of everyone, it was that it was kurt. and that hurt him. the guy he always knew he would be better then, more popular then, more worshiped then, was being worshiped by others.

the toxicity of bliane and by that klaine is so high, i doubt if their fans can ship them without hazmat suits.

other than that, i rather liked the staging and love as a battlefield as a whole. great number.
