Glorfindel wrote:When you look at it:
- Chris has an iconic role in a series that's very popular in the 12-16 age.
- Chris has written 2 fairytale books for kids 10+.
- Chris is getting quite the buzz for writing and producing his first film, SBL.
Disney would be crazy not to profit from all that popularity and acclaim:
- Putting Chris in the movie (maybe in a small cameo) will guarantee them Glee viewers.
- TLLOW ties into the fairytale theme of TLoS.
- SBL already demonstrated how good a writer and producer Chris is.
The fact that an unknown writer they hired to write a pilot became a very popular tv-star among teens and adults, plus a bestselling writer and movie-maker, all after he wrote that pilot for them, is a lucky coincidence Disney should not pass up on. Not that a big company like Disney needs Chris to sell their products, but it doesn't hurt them either.
And Chris can add 'Disney movie writer and producer' to his already impressive resume.
You know, so many young people love Disney and what it represents (magic, a childhood, fantasy, an escape from reality, innocence) and would love to work for and with the company of Disney. I know Disney gets a lot of crap due to the more modern turn they've taken with promoting stuff like Hannah Montana and the others like her, but LLOW could be taking Disney back to what it was originally about: magic, not stardom. Anyway, Chris is one of those young people who loves the original Disney and he, unlike most of them, is actually in a place where he CAN work for Disney! How amazing for him! Chris always said that he wanted to be a Disney imagineer....good for him, truly! :D
I hope he can still work on his asylum movie though!
Doesn't Disney strongly support the LGBT community? There's another plus! And working for the company can probably give him so many ideas for his third TLOS book!
Now all Chris needs to do is to become the spokesperson for Diet Coke and he is set for life!

Re: Chris Colfer Appreciation Thread!--part 6
I think it is just so clever for Chris to enter a completely unexpected market. No one considered the children market as a serious, critical and successful segment. Chris being clever not to let define him by any sort of restrictions and public expectations, is one of my favorite parts about him.
Even though we have not a lot of evidence yet, Disney rejecting Chris is unlikely. As Marie said, he is successful within the children market and has a very dedicated fanbase. Thinking about it, there are fewer reasons to assume this is false information, than it is actually correct. I am excited and cannot wait for more news.
(… I am also still patiently waiting for other Glee/TV-actors to copy his approach. It is only a matter of time.)

Chris is really having a lot of success with different age groups.
He has garnered the children's market, the YA market, and if he gets his asylum movie done, he will be garnering the adult market and the adolescent market.
And if this Disney movie is done and is a success, I'm sure other networks will look at Chris with more interest.

I cannot deny his Asylum movie is the project I am most excited about. I really hope it will be shot this year and there is a good and valid reason why it isn't even in pre-production stage yet. I really hope for some news soon.
Maybe we get something when he is in Paris? Great way to promote his projects. I really want to unrelated Glee projects.

I saw that gif recently. His facial expression was priceless and Matt was just so arrogantly clueless. Even I wanted to smack him.
I wonder how the relationship between Chris and RIB is nowadays. I don’t believe Chris can be happy about S4. I don’t also see him kissing ass to get screentime back. I wouldn’t be surprised he gets not much because RIB wants to “punish” him. I don’t believe them still being so close like a few years ago, when there seemed to be a genuine friendship.

Sign if you think Chris Colfer should record an album
https://www.change.org/petitions/chris-colfer-record-a-solo-album#
(just getting this into the tags - already has 40+ signatures)
They now have 60+ signatures.
Hugs4Chris are doing this because of what Chris said in the Q & A's at the SBL Premiere in France, when a fan asked if he would do an album. He said yes, if there was internet compaign, then he would do one.
He also said he would love to do one.

Very Important Petition Update Re: Chris Making a Solo Album
The change.org petition has been closed, and we’ll only be using the Twitition site here: http://twitition.com/xjo87
If you’d already signed the petition on change.org, PLEASE click the link above and sign the other one instead. We had 474 signatures and need all of you on ONE petition.
Kelly will be giving Chis an update on Sunday at his London book signing, so please reblog and tweet to help spread the word too!
Thanks so much for your cooperation and support. I’m really really sorry that I screwed this up.
Well, Chris said to do it.
But seriously, I hope he does do an album.

Fans Demand Album From Chris ColferJune 14, 2013 ● by Rae Votta
Lord Kurt. (Getty)
With so many of his Glee contemporaries releasing debut albums, Chris Colfer fans are not letting the Golden Globe-winning star off easy. Colfer has denied interest in taking a solo music turn—preferring to focus on his film and novel-writing—but while promoting Struck By Lightning in Paris this week he addressed doing an album a little more optimistically.
“I’m terrified to do an album,” Colfer admitted at the Champs Elysées Film Festival. “To the point where if I did do an album I’d want to name it Clearance Bin— just in case it ends up in the clearance bin, [Icould say] ‘I told you so!’ Maybe. I think I would need maybe some kind of Internet campaign or something. So if people ask me why are you doing an album I could say ‘Well they told me to!’”
Fans, not one to back down from a such a clear directive, have started a Twitition to get an album from the Gleek. It’s small so far, but only 12-hours-old, barely time to reach Colfer’s 1.8 million followers. If they succeed, and Colfer lives up to his end of the bargain, he’ll joinGlee stars like Matthew Morrison, who just released his second album, Where It All Began, and Lea Michele, who says her debut album is “almost done.” (Not to mention impending releases from Naya Rivera, Amber Riley, Kevin McHale and Darren Criss.)
Chris better get on it before the train leaves the station, if you know what we mean.

Rae Votta is one of us! I love when journalists (is she a journalist ,right?) show preferences toward a celeb, it makes them more humans. Though preferably is better if they remain neuters.
I haven't say a word about this album petition, because I'm unsure about it. I can't deny that I'd love to have an album (or songs) from this boy, songs that come from the bottom of his heart and creativity. But by other side it would be like he's doing a favor to the fans. However, as Rae said "Chris better get on it before the train leaves the station".

Re: Chris Colfer Appreciation Thread!--part 6
I signed because he's probably going to get a laugh out of it and truthfully I'd buy it if he decides to do one. Highly doubt it though, but it's fun to see if the list gets to Chris and what he'll say about it.

Re: Chris Colfer Appreciation Thread!--part 6
There are already almost 1.200 signatures on the twitition.
And there's another article about it:
And there's another article about it:
x‘Glee’ season 5: Chris Colfer on following Lea Michele, Naya Rivera’s footsteps with album
When it comes to the stars of “Glee,” there appear to be a few things that many of them are interested in doing and that’s getting promotional deals, acting in movies, and recording albums. Some of them (see Lea Michele) has been able to pull off all three over the course of the past four years, as she is recording her debut now. Some others (see Naya Rivera) are getting there, and one man in particular in Matthew Morrison already has two albums out to go along with movies and various gigs.
As we approach the start of “Glee” season 5, Chris Colfer continues to go down a slightly different path. While he has starred in a movie called “Struck By Lightning,” it was one that he wrote himself. Also, he has a book out in The Land of Stories, and is continuing his screenwriting for a future project. It’s always impressive when anyone has this sort of writing talent, but then remember that Chris is only 23 years old. While you see many reality stars at that age drinking and partying, remember that he’s finding the time to write books and get nominatations for various acting awards.
So is Chris hoping to someday join Rivera, Michele, and Morrison on the road to an album? If he is, he sure is holding his cards close to the vest. While at the Champs Elysées Film Festival, Colfer was asked about the prospect of recording a disc. His response? He didn’t necessarily rule it out depending on if fans get behind him in huge numbers beforehand:
“I’m terrified to do an album … To the point where if I did do an album I’d want to name it Clearance Bin— just in case it ends up in the clearance bin, ‘I told you so!’ Maybe. I think I would need maybe some kind of Internet campaign or something. So if people ask me why are you doing an album I could say ‘Well they told me to!’”
Well, some “Glee” fans are already trying to convince Chris to get into the studio, as there is a petition out there already to try to make it happen. We don’t even know how he would have the time, but it is at least something for him to consider down the road.
Do you want Chris to make an album, or to keep doing what he’s doing? “Glee” season 5 production starts in a few weeks, and you can read some of Kevin McHale’s hopes for it here.

hay guys! please continue to vote for Chris: http://www.out.com/entertainment/television/2013/06/06/boyfriend-material
i know everybody has been squeeing over his Euro trip and the result is that his percentage dipped quickly. we need to continue our support so he doesn't lose the lead. it's important that we make our statement in this poll. they don't believe he had a chance. we will change that for good!

Chris has 42% (at the moment) in a poll that has 30 guys to vote for: that's impressive. He already has over 25.000 votes.

Not to be a downer, but it doesn't necessarily mean he'll be acting in them. He could go behind the scenes and just be a scriptwriter/producer. Of course I want him to continue acting because he has a special gift for it, but Chris may not want to.

Well, he also said that he loved writing characters he could play, since he already know who the character is and his way of thinking, so we can stay hopeful he'll always be in his movies, even as a secondary character.
