I wouldn't know, that is why I am waiting to see if we hear anymore about it.
Disney keep changing their minds allthetime.
I'd rather hear from the proper sources Chris or Disney before believing it.
I would love it if it were true.
Though the hiatus is nearly over and Glee filming is meant to start next month, so the hiatus part has to be false. And Chris will be going to Europe soon, so again how could he be producing any film?
Chris was quiet on the social media side for a long time during May. And when a fan asked his mum on twitter where Chris was she said he was busy.
I am thinking they heard a rumour and they just printed it without finding any source to back it up.
And they might have had the casting call but again changed their minds, along with maybe Chris being not available.

Re: Chris Colfer Appreciation Thread!--part 6
It is the first time being called a movie, but they could easily confuse it. Chris has a tendency to surprise us with out-of-nowhere announcements. LOS was a success and people loved his creativity. Disney are very good business managers, it is only logical to assume they perceive his script as potential success with an un-built audience.
So, in case there is any truth to this, I assume a 2014 release? Damn, I really want some kind of confirmation. Can an interviewer ask him in Paris please?

Sounds cool, but alas, cemeteries freak me out.

Re: Chris Colfer Appreciation Thread!--part 6
I heard about this a few days ago, because the person who wrote the article also tweeted about it:
This tweet was used as 'evidence' in a CrissColfer tinhat conspiracy (as this was 'prove' that Chris was working while he was in Florida, and therefore Will was working for in some capacity. tsk. ). Because it was used in this CrissColfer post I didn't know if the tweet was true so I didn't post it here.
But besides this Nathaniel Grey noone else mentioned Chris writing and producing 'The Little Leftover Witch' as a film. It could of course be true (I hope so!) but it could also simply be that this Nathaniel just heard some things and jumped to the wrong conclusion.
We know that Chris wrote several versions of a pilot of 'The Little Leftover Witch' a few years ago, but Disney decided to put it on the shelf because they had a few other series out at the time. And then Chris wrote and produced SBL. Now there is possibly some buzz in Hollywood of Chris having written the asylum movie, and he is probably in the process of producing that movie too. So these things simply could have been mixed together by this Nathaniel.
However, it could be that Disney decided to not make a series of 'The Little Leftover Witch' but use Chris' pilot for a movie now instead, and asked Chris to re-write and produce it. But I think we would have heard about it now, and it seems like Chris really didn't have the time to produce a movie during this hiatus.
That casting call last spring is a long time ago for a movie which would feature children: they grow up so fast.
But again: it could be possible.

Neither will I. I am going to be cremated. And actually, I can remember this small cemetery I visited with my family several years ago...it was in the middle of this wooded area. It was actually quite beautiful.

Couldn't care less about the CrissColfer idiots and their theories, but I'm excited for what this could mean for Chris! That's the second piece of information we've gotten saying that Chris is doing 'The Little Leftover Witch'. Is it one big misunderstanding or is this legit? Is he doing his next film now, or really pushing that back until the winter hiatus so he can work on this LLOW thing now? I hope we get some sort of confirmation from Chris soon.

This is a pic of Chris and Will, probably from TBL when those people started taking pics when they were in Florida.
I was hoping they wouldn't do this, but I will put under hidden, but you see the way Chris is looking lovingly at Will.
I thought I would just post the link.

Hmmmmm, it seems that this guy really knows something about 'The Little Leftover Witch' becoming a movie.
It would be awesome if it's true and even better if Chris would be acting in the movie, but will Fox let him be in a Disney movie, when Disney has denied Glee their songs?
I'm cautiously optimistic about this, but not optimistic/sure enough to start a thread about it in the 'Chris in the Movies' part of this board.
I'd like some more confirmation first.

Same here.
Though given the winter hiatus they will be getting, Chris could do both movies. He is good at multi-tasking.
Maybe in Chris's new contractual demands he wanted lee-way to be in this movie.
The fact that they aren't filming it now could mean we won't here anything until the filming starts.
This appears he knows someone at Disney as he has more details.
But I will wait until we here more about it.

Disney would be stupid not to produce the movie. Chris has proven to be successful within the children market. And Disney is business smart, so it actually sounds possible and legit

Re: Chris Colfer Appreciation Thread!--part 6
When you look at it:
- Chris has an iconic role in a series that's very popular in the 12-16 age.
- Chris has written 2 fairytale books for kids 10+.
- Chris is getting quite the buzz for writing and producing his first film, SBL.
Disney would be crazy not to profit from all that popularity and acclaim:
- Putting Chris in the movie (maybe in a small cameo) will guarantee them Glee viewers.
- TLLOW ties into the fairytale theme of TLoS.
- SBL already demonstrated how good a writer and producer Chris is.
The fact that an unknown writer they hired to write a pilot became a very popular tv-star among teens and adults, plus a bestselling writer and movie-maker, all after he wrote that pilot for them, is a lucky coincidence Disney should not pass up on. Not that a big company like Disney needs Chris to sell their products, but it doesn't hurt them either.
And Chris can add 'Disney movie writer and producer' to his already impressive resume.

And on top of all those, as much as I hate it to be one criteria for Disney, Chris is what I'd call suqueaky clean in image wise. Disney has to love that with the train wrecks they've managed to produce for the world.
