The whys and wherefores of the drug situation and lifestyles choices are by the by. 140 characters, hours after the announcement, by an actor? Not his fucking place and certainly not the time. If he isn't a dick, he needs to get off twitter until he stops looking like one. For his own good.
I agree with this statement. Just like with transphobic joke about Justin Bieber, I found his tweet incredibly tactless. I'm not saying he's a bad guy. I get that when you have such a limited number of characters, things can be worded badly, but knowing the backlash he got from it, instead of trying to backtrack or justify what he said and offend people further, he should've acknowledged that he fucked up and apologized. He's a 31 year old adult with children of his own, so he should set a good example. The whole Bieber thing left a bad taste in my mouth in general because he was picking fights with a teenage boy and starting shit with young prepubescent girls.
I have no personal vendetta against him because I don't really have any attachment to him as an actor either way, but he made himself look like an ass and he should acknowledge it.

Skating along Gymnastics are my favorite sports. For me Skating is the perfect mix between something that is athletic and artistic at the same time, but also I know how difficult is for judges to score presentations. But I believe what it should matters is not if they male skater did a performance in a manly way or not, but if he executed well the technique and how it blended with the performance, if there was a balance.
@ColdFlame96, when Jared tweeted to Justin how much did he pay to his friend because of the egg incident, by one side I thought he was being like the other celebs who're making fun of bieber and also speaking up his mind. But by other side, I thought he went a little bit too far by addressing his name so directly, with link included, it was like "Does he want to start a fight?". Somehow they same happened when he commented about PSH death, got it, everybody is free to express their opinion, but wasn't he aware of the aftermaths?.
Re: Bistro on the corner
^With Jared vs. Justin Bieber the issue a lot of people were offended by was not the tweet asking Justin how much he paid for his friend taking the fall for the drugs found in his house.
There was a later tweet from Jared, in which he called Justin a "she", and the way the tweet was worded Justin being called a girl was meant to be an insult.
Besides that directed insult to Justin (what the Bieber-fans of course didn't like), what most people (the non-Bieber fans) found rightfully very wrong with that tweet was the fact that clearly Jared thinks that calling a guy a girl is an insult, as if being a woman is less worthy than being a man.
And that's misogynistic.

I thought this was a brutally honest interview about being an actor :
NIck Weschler from "Revenge" (the good guy Jack)
reminds me why few actors burn bridges withe anyone, even a Ryan Murphy

^Hehehe.
Did you know that in Russia they didn't show this fail, but quickly aired footage of a succesful rehearsal instead?
Unfortunately they couldn't do that with the broadcast to the rest of the world.

I chuckled when I saw this. As someone posted on Tumblr, this is what happens when you piss of the gays.
It was an odd opening ceremonies. I liked some of the elements and was laughing at the overly sanitized version of Russian history they trotted out. But it felt really clunky. The only part that I really enjoyed was the dance based on War & Peace (one of my absolute favorite novels).

Off topic, but hey! I kind of disappeared for a while as part of my Gleehab, but I'm back! I'm still alive and kicking in case some of y'all were worried. I'd be happy to join in any discussion, but I'm afraid I probably won't be contributing to any Glee related snark, lest I fall into a Gleelapse. (I'm having fun with puns right now sorry.) let the Chris worshipping begin because I'll always be here for that!

welcome back Genevieve! so glad to see you again! i have already weaned myself from watching glee, but i am enable to stay away from this community!
about the olympic ring isssue - i didn't realize it was a mistake. i thought it was intentional to replace an open ring w/ a beautiful snow flake like "dot". it thought it was really creative for them.
Ivana: there are a lot of great performances AFTER the parade of hte nations. i love the graphics projected onto the floor and how they "interact" w/ the moving people. very beautifully and creatively done. too bad the stupid NBC had to cut out a lot for their never ending commercials.

i don't doubt it. i just wasn't in the mood to be honest. ever since Wednesday night i have had this irritating headache. this dull ache and slight pressure in my head. i don't know if it's the temperature changes, or if i got a little cold during a very windy last week, or if it's blood pressure (thought it's been only slight elevated last night and not the days before, if my digital measure is correct). it's making me very sleepy, tired and cranky.

Re: Bistro on the corner
^ sorry to hear about your headache. if it's just a headache, and not accompanied by other discomfort like fever, muscle aches (signs of a flu/cold), try to gently move your neck around, as well as stretching your upper back and shoulders. for a while i had bad headaches waking up in the morning, so i realized it was my pillow. when your neck wasn't properly supported, you will get a headache from pinched nerves in the spine. massaging/stretching the neck/shoulder area can restore the proper alignment and get rid of the headache, but ultimately i had to buy a contour pillow to properly support the neck when sleeping to get rid of hte root cause. if you have a headache that 's not caused by cold/flu/any other serious illnesses, the most common cause is bad posture or poor support of the neck bones.
whatever the causes, hope you will feel better.
my favorite subjects to watch are figure skating and speed skating.

I've had a Gleehab of my own as well during the hiatus, so you're not alone there. Glee had finally worn down my tolerance for it, so I'm steering clear from the show and will just enjoy the occasional Kurt pic or song from now on. Unless feedback about the NYC-focussed episodes are overwhelmingly positive (which I doubt).
@Ivana, I hope your headache is getting better. If fantastica's methods don't work, there's always paracetamol. Or ibuprofen.

i have a memory foam pillow, so it's not from that. i don't have such a headache now, most of the pain is from my upper neck and it spreads to the head from there. it was very windy these past 10 days or so in belgrade and i probably got sweaty, went outside and got blown. i happened before. but anyway, i have a doctors appointment tomorrow because i finally have health insurgence after two years and i'm going to do some blood work and urine probably and see some specialists after that for my chronic stomach and intestines disconfert i have been hawing these past few months. and i'll see about this as well. but given how much time i have spent sitting the last few month as i was preparing this one exam (which i passed 2 weeks ago ), it's no wonder that my neck, stomach and ass are protesting.

^Congratulations on passing your exam!
If you had to study so very hard for it then it's no wonder your body started to protest and warn you with headaches and stomach trouble! But it's a good idea to see the doctor about it all now.
And welcome back, Coldflame!

I think it's hilarious all these NFL general managers saying that Michael Sam's sexual orientation could be a "distraction" when he was part of college football team where his teammates had no problem whatsoever. I dunno, maybe PROFESSIONAL athletes and general managers could learn something from Missouri?

still a lot of prejudices out there. it's a process. change doesn't happen overnight.
think about hollywood - supposedly the most "progressive" part of the country - they are still discriminating against gay actors when it comes to casting leading men/women roles. that's why so many actors are still closeted. nobody likes to live in a closeted life, but talent alone doesn't get you far in this industry. people are paying a huge price for their career success. poor things.
i hope when our children are our age, things would be a lot better.

Yup someone has to take the first step, be it a Hollywood studio or a NFL team. Things can move quickly once the floodgates are opened.

First of all, who's this Michael Sam guy?, and second, shouldn't be more important if he plays well? Why his sexual orientation will be a 'distraction'? Are they afraid their teammates could feel uncomfortable, oh please, you mentioned they were fine with it.

i think it's the same logic behind barring gays in the military - that it would be a "distraction" for the fellow soldiers. it's the same thinking as first season Finn had when he said he didn't feel comfy dressing in front of kurt. it's kinda insulting because it makes gays look like sexual predators. i really don't like this line of logic.

Yeah, I really hate these stupid reasons for discrimination. But I agree that once someone takes the first step things start to get better.
By the way, I passed my driving test yesterday!
I'll still mostly be using public transport to get around though, cause it's cheaper, more environmentally friendly, and I won't be hogging the family car.

I'm so infuriated about the discussion going on right now in the Finnish Parliament about the Marriage Equality Act. I will never understand how awful things people, MP's for heavens sake, can say in public when it comes to this basic human rights issue. And I hate that religion is always pulled in with our parlamentarism.
So proud of the MP's that are in favor of the Act and have the stamina to just keep going (almost six hours now) and defending the new proposal with facts, figures and calmness.

Re: Bistro on the corner
We have now what I'd translate as a partnership law...yes it sounds horrific. Now this time it's a question of using the term marriage and genuinely just having the same rights as a married man and a woman. Most conservatives scream that it'll open adoption laws for gays, which I suppose it does because gay married people are called just married, not being in a registrated relationship.
I do think over half of people here are in favor or strongly neutral about the new law...so somewhat liberal society. But unfortunately a lot of young people don't vote so the Parliament isn't really representive. Middle age is way too high and we have few populists that top up their conservative parties votes and MP's.
The act was however just now having a general MP discussion and now goes to a law qualifying board commitie that consists only from 17 people...and previously it's been dismissed with the same proposal...and the commitie chair is a weird woman, who's comments sometimes make me shiver.
