OMG, at first I was going to ask you: Wut? 'Diq'? You're speaking arabian right now.tanita_mors wrote:To quote Glee_ONTD : "Get that diq"
Then I pronounced the words in my mind, and I got it (...the meaning LOL). I'm slow, don't pay attention to me.

Oh dear, this my mind is getting dirty. Maybe this is breaking the forum rules? All the Chris haters who say he can't have no friendship other than hag tags, I believe he himself can have quite good bromances with guys.

Re: Chris Colfer Appreciation Thread!--part 2
That's what it looks like. I'm sure that Ivana will have a field day with that one.

Thanks for the idea! I haven't thought of that! My avatar is Brian's first appearance on screen, I think. Aww, he looked much more innocent that time Hee seems to be sassier on screen lately. Hmm...influence from the flawless owner ?
You do know that most people here (or me at least) would be paying more attention to the pale arm in the picture than Brian himself, don't you?
Chris Colfer, pulling focus even in real life

Post away. As long as Chris is in those pics. If it gets excessive, we may have to form a dedicated shipper thread for Chris in this forum, as Jellyrolls had hinted at
As for the twitter question, I don't have twitter, so I won't be able to participate. Anyone else here wants to join in on the twitter campaign to thank Chris, or maybe just to wish him a happy birthday?

^No problem. Is just that I don't know so much, I still don't know how a trend on twitter works.
HAHA, is this becoming a cats fan forum that occasionally ships Colferstreet?

Colferstreet is a much much much better RL ship than CrissColfer. I like Chord a lot (especially since they got rid of Sam's goofy season 2 hair). He's really cute, and seems like a good guy
Re: Chris Colfer Appreciation Thread!--part 2
i don't ship anyone. mainly because I don't understanding the need to ship. I wonder what's the psychology behind shipping.
colferstreet is cute. but chris is cute w/ anyone, especially brian.

Obviously, it's a same group of persons that make tags trending, because I highly doubt there's a lot of lambda people who would have thought about a tag

Re: Chris Colfer Appreciation Thread!--part 2
I've been tooling around on GF, specifically threads that talk about the finale and who should have got what. I posted a little yesterday, but was on my way to work so didn't really have time to go fully into what keeps me feeling upset.
I do not feel or fear for Rachel. Lea is a great actress, her character is nuanced and generally interesting, but her journey is assured. Is there anyone, pro or against Rachel who feels that there is the slightest chance that she will not succeed. No one will raise their hands, I am sure. Rachel has been told to the audience, and more importantly, shown to the audience what makes her a star. She gets the roles, she gets the guys, she gets what she wants, not always at the time that she wants it, but in the end it is hers. I am not saying she doesn't deserve it, what I am saying is there is absolutely no surprise. This is why I do not feel, or really care about her journey. I know with absolute certainty that she will make it on Broadway.
She has been treated like a star from the get go, and frankly, I have never seen how that makes her an underdog. Underdogs don't get all the solos, they lose occasionally, that is why you root for them to win. I know I don't need to root for Rachel. The only one who sees Rachel as an underdog is Rachel herself. Back when people posted nasty things on her My Space, even though she courts those same peoples friendships, strangely enough, time has not changed in her head. Even after a couple of boyfriends, solos, starring roles, people trying to steal her away because she is the only reason ND could possibly win (although they have won without her, but that is usually kind of glossed over.) That Rachel I could root for, because she fought against peoples misconceptions about what beauty was, but soon after it was always about Rachel's amazing voice. It isn't hard to put all that time into practice if you get continued rewards. Let's see her put 100 percent into something and still lose, that Rachel I might be able to root for, this one, not so much. I can't even say I am a hummelberry anymore, sadly, she has won so much and he has lost so much I find myself only wanting him in a stellar storyline, and he won't get that with her, because the writers have to have Rachel win, which means Kurt is glossed over, or doesn't win period.
Kurt, on the other hand, is treated as talented, but he isn't admired, (except by Unique, and that was more fan wish fulfillment for the Kurtcedes baby idea) sought after, or shown to be pivotal to winning anything. Other than a brief cheerio championship which has been forever forgotten. Kurt fights and fights, and loses and loses, but he doesn't give up. He doesn't get personal public victories, but he gets public defeats and ridicule. Walking down the hallway to gayboys looking at him and some confetti doesn't make up for 3 crappy years of loss. He rises above and maintains his wonderful strength, and supports the team. He doesn't run off and form another group when he doesn't get solos, but he did ADD an activity that didn't take away from his team to get more exposure.
This is why I can't watch shows like Survivor, where the lowest common denominator gets rewarded for being able to trick/deceive or win by being more sneaky. I want team work to be rewarded, I want hard work to be rewarded, I want a good young man to get rewarded. More than a boyfriend, or the humongeous victory of actually getting a NYADA letter tryout (sarcasm alert). Wait for your turn is the mantra, but Kurt has waited, and now high school is over, and he is still waiting. So am I , and so are we. I was so hit by the loss I think because of such a season of loss, that I didn't believe the writers wouldn't let him win anything, but they did. They might have a huge story next year for him, and actually make Rachel an underdog, but Rachel has had 3 years of people saying great things about her, and we know she will have miles of support if she does lose something.
Kurt has a father who adores him, but we know he is a realistic man, who knows his son will always have an uphill fight in whatever he does because he refuses not to be himself, he refuses to be one of the herd. It makes Burt proud, but realistic, Kurt is going to lose, many times, because there is still just too many stupid people and ideas in the world. What is acceptable gay (passing), let alone being gay itself. Having a girl voice. Burt will console him, but he isn't going to get the endless line of people telling him how fabulous he is like Rachel. We have had so little win in Kurts storyline, that the losses hit harder, and next year may give him great things, but he has paid so much, making them great enough for the Kurtsies will simply garner him St. Kurt status again. That is a big reason I think they took so much from him this year, to make him an underdog again, not that he ever stopped being it. More than one person can't say nice things about Kurt without the St. title coming out, but again, Rachel will have Tina drive miles, her ex-boyfriend say how great she is and that is perfectly fine. Because she is the star. Yes, I know she is the star of Glee, but she isn't the soul of Glee. She is the voice we hear sing, but Kurt's soulful words are the ones that resonant. Because Kurt is us, when you try to get something, and lose, and have to cry a little, but pick yourself up, because you have to get on with your life. You have a few people telling you good things, and some who might go the extra mile, but you don't get to be the star, but you still want your moment in the spotlight, whether it be on stage, or a better job at work. So when Kurt wins, we win also, that is why his loss feels so real, because sometimes good people don't get rewarded, and lose out many times, we know how that feels. When Rachel wins, it is about Rachel, we don't get to win, we get to watch. It does not touch me, because I expect her to win.
Ramble, ramble, ramble. Glad I can vent here, my brother is absolutely unsympathetic, he thinks it was great storytelling. He isn't invested in anyone, so hurray for him. Chris/Kurt makes me care, so sue me.
