What did you think of the episode ?
Re: 5x12 "100" Watch & Discussion thread
In essence, what happened with Kurt. These are all the lines he spoke, except for in DG which was 2 lines. He was again belittle, ignored and an afterthought. I just don't understand what Chris did that was so bad to be sidelined like this on Glee. It's such a shame.

If you still like the choir room as it was before season 4 with Mr. Shue, and the old characters like Quinn and Puck getting focus, then it's worth watching, imo.tanita_mors wrote:for the second week in a row i have been very lazy and haven't watched the episode yet. should i ? am i missing anything ??? important and worth while i mean.
I really enjoyed the music performances, and also the return of April and Holly.
There's not much Kurt in it but his reaction shots and goofy dancing are very entertaining as per usual. You'll have to look for them like raisins in a rice pudding though.
Oh, and best not to think too long about the storylines, but that's a given with Glee.

Re: 5x12 "100" Watch & Discussion thread
For being the 100th episode it wasn't so exciting actually. After the episode ended, I even put my headphones on and listened to any music that wasn't Glee, so I guess that mean something lol
Overall what I enjoyed the most from this episode were the performances except DG, I'm sorry but for me that was mostly Rachel and Mercedes, and Kurt barely was on it. But lets start with the positive stuff, as I read before, if someone miss those old days in which the choir room had some importance, this's the episode. As I mentioned before I love all the performances, except one of course, because some were funny such as Raise Your Glass, Valerie (my favorite one so far I'm sure I said it in another thread, but this is the kind of songs that I love Santana/Naya and the dancing, I love so much watching Mike/Harry doing his steps on my screen), Happy; and then was the nostalgic one: Keep Holding on it brought me so many memories when they did the choreography.
As regards the storyline, at first I thought this episode was gonna be about the Glee Club and how to save it, but it turned out to be more about some characters. Quick surprised me as I didn't have any expectation with them, to be serious, I never understood why all of sudden RIB wanted to put Quinn/Puck together; yeah they kissed in the Graduation episode, but even back then there wasn't in any sort of relationship or flirting. So for me is just a way to say farewell to both characters. But as I said above, I was surprised of how they have grown up, particularly Puck, he is a character that has truly developed into someone who's more mature and better. He's that kind of guy who I wish him the best and I'm glad he's doing well.
Brittana, I've never been a shipper and I think I will never be a shipper of these girls. I'm sorry but still I see them as good best friends. And as happened with Quick, I just feel writers want to give them a clousure, and I don't want that. For me Santana still has a journey to follow, and she could get another girl. However, and having said that, I can't deny there's chemistry between Naya and Heather, but probably because they're besties in real life, and I say it again, that how I see them: as best friends.
Uff Rachel vs Mercedes, foremost, what was the point of this? You know, after reading what someone else had posted previously, I agree they brought up this silly Diva-Off ( first of all why Mercedes would sing DG? For me she could have sung And I'm Telling you, for instance) only to make Mercedes the new Rachel Berry's best friend. Simple, first they had the diva off, then after seeing the drama Rachel is provoking, Santana called out her out, after that, Mercedes felt bad for Rachel and after a chatting ( which I confess I appreciated as they solved their issues without the help of a man) they're in good terms and wow are friends.
Speaking of that call out, I've mixed feelings. By one side Rachel has been an impossible diva lately that I was viciously cheerful that someone told her what a selfish and egocentrical person she can be, but by other side, I'm not sure it was the right moment to say all of that. Partly I think Santana truly thought/felt that, but by other side I think she was speaking from the anger she has at this moment.
Finally, in the last scene I didn't see Kurt and Rachel crying, they were Chris and Lea. So I second those people ,everyone I guess, who think that was an intrusive moment.
On a side note: I don't know if you have seen this gif, but some people think Rachel was crying, other think she was laughing. What do you think? And for me this was more Lea, not Rachel.

It seems like Rachel is getting the 5 personality treatment like the others, "I always thought it was you and me against all of them" WTH every week its this person was my best friend and equally as talented as me, get into a fight, now its this person. And Kurt has been there for both of them and told them they were talented but they can't even mention him once ?
The only ones I liked this episode was Kurt, Puck, Quinn, and surprisingly Santana. Everything Santana said to Rachel was true and I didn't feel the least bit sorry for her.
Plus, the only real Diva that has ever been in that choir room is Kurt
Kurt was cute! Everything else I dont currrrrr I did not even watch! But hey, Glee ratings are bad with a hyped up episode so I see that Glee season 6 wont happen most likely :P If anything it would get cancelled before 5 ends, hopefully after Klaine breaks up for Kurt and Chris sake!

Well, he was completely in love with her before he hit puberty and wanted to marry her.
He has said this in several interviews back in '09 and after that.
This was the massive crush he had on her when he was younger. I love it that they have a friendship now. Bet he never expected that in a million years.

In my opinion she's not crying, more laughing.brisallie wrote:On a side note: I don't know if you have seen this gif, but some people think Rachel was crying, other think she was laughing. What do you think? And for me this was more Lea, not Rachel.
And at the end of that song everyone (so not just Rachel) was walking away quickly so Puck and Quinn could have their moment alone. So I don't think this was Lea, and if it was it was only her walking to Chris, just like Amber/Mercedes is walking to Kevin/Artie.

Agree. But still looks like an improvised moment to me, but its fine it looks more natural.
And looking at the gifs, how did the newbies and blam learn the choreography so fast?
As regards Chris, also I believe he was cute in this episode, and something I like about him is he's able to use his screen time properly and in a smart way. If I recall we had talked before how Chris never stay quiet and always has some movements and faces while doing a scene, and that good because you put attention to him.

Re: 5x12 "100" Watch & Discussion thread
I just saw this and I forgot to say I laughed when April told Klaine they might be split months after getting married.
Re: 5x12 "100" Watch & Discussion thread
Also in that scene Blaine says they will set a wedding date later in the year, where I see Kurt correcting him, that they are enjoying a long engagement, which to me he is saying they will be enjoying a long engagement and Kurt is in no hurry to get married any time soon.
I have this habit of reading between the lines, and this is what I feel Kurt was saying, though I don't think Blaine got it, and again is oblivious or doesn't care what Kurt wants.

Re: 5x12 "100" Watch & Discussion thread
This was a disappointment, how could storylines involving original characters be so boring. The Rachel-Mercedes storyline was horrible, and Kurt got completely ripped off. Hated the Quinn/Biff thing, but while Quinn/Puck came out of nowhere, it was cute and I'm happy for them.

^That's how I saw it too.
I know April's truthbomb should have annoyed me because it's a clear meta sign that RIB know darn well how stupid Klaine's teen engagement is, but I couldn't help but snigger when I heard her say that.
And Chris' reaction was priceless!

I loved all the numbers with the old gang.
What a 180 difference with so much of the last year and a half.
Mike dancing again!

Mike dancing was one of the best moments, I had forgotten how much I missed him. And I can critic Heather's acting, but that girl can dance.
As regards the klaine/april scene, in situations like that you realize how objective are people when they analyze faces. Some saw it as both Kurt and Blaine felt pissed off for what April said, guess who are those people. While others saw it as Kurt actually considered what she said "Umm it could happen".

But these are usually the people that diss Chris's acting.
Even other fans that aren't Kurtsies agree that Kurt isn't that keen to get married, like you said.
Kurt was more interested in that flask of alcohol then anything else.
Though we know in canon Kurt can now handle his alcohol.

I took Kurt as reacting like he does when Coach Sue is mouthing off some insanity, sort of befuddled but used to it.

Re: 5x12 "100" Watch & Discussion thread
I do try to keep a level head and not read too much into stuff even though I detest Blaine and Klaine. However, I have to say, on this occasion, I would have to say that Chris did not play it wholly annoyed or befuddled actually. Darren did. Chris didn't. There was a sort of cool concern / consideration to his face. It was subtle but it was there, IMO.

Here it is. Mix of concern and scrutiny of Blaine. It isn't annoyance at April.

I see that to.
The concern is probably for Blaine, as maybe (if these idiot writers would just write the damn thing) Kurt isn't confident that the marriage will work.
