have they announced any foreign book tour yet? hopefully he will do a UK tour in August. I am in the US but i love to see our European friends getting some chances to meet chris.

it depends on the release date of LOS in the UK. Is it the same 7/07 as the US?

Yes it's the same date, although amazon are giving ride stupid expected delivery dates again, I've ordered from B&n cause the delivery was quicker then amazon is quoting and you get the extra chapter

^Same here. I ordered the audiobook at Amazon in Germany and they tell me the delivery date is the 17th or 18th, when they easily should be able to deliver the book the 7th itself or the 8th. dryy

So I also ordered 2 books (with the extra chapter, yay!) at B&N online, and I remember with TLoS3 I did the same and it was delivered to me only 1 day after the original release date. (from the USA to the Netherlands!)

If Amazon wants to lose costumers, they should keep this stupid and not very costumer friendly policy up. Rolling Eyes

Glee star Chris Colfer has certainly kept busy since the musical TV show ended earlier this year. The fourth book in his New York Times best-selling series, The Land of Stories, comes out Tuesday, and, in addition to writing the books, Colfer also narrates the audiobook.

In The Land of Stories: Beyond the Kingdoms, twins Alex and Conner Bailey round up a group of pals—Goldilocks, Jack, Red Riding Hood, Mother Goose and her gander, Lester—and travel across the Land of Oz, Neverland, and Wonderland to catch up to the fugitive Masked Man.

i am sure Amazon would have its own exclusive version too if it hadn't screwed its publishers in the past (and present).

And yeah, I'm on the one hand a little irritated at Chris' PR team for TLoS4 that there's another exclusive edition of a book I've already ordered twice (B&N special edition and audiobook), and also that it's not available outside the USA.
But on the other hand as a Chris and TLoS stan I just need to have this other version as well. Embarassed

If someone can do this for me it will be very much appreciated as I already have the money right now.

It is so unfair it is only in America.

I live in Australia and our Target stores are not like the ones in America.

I would really really love to have this extra chapter.

^ are you sure your Target store won't carry this book at all? Is there an Australian Target store online you can check? If not, I can help you too. I have 2 small boxes from Amazon that are big enough for the book. I already have to do it for Marie, so I can do it for you too, without much additional trouble. Check your PM.

Kim, you could start a nice little business with this. Just charge a few bucks more for every book you ship to Europe, and you'll be rich before you know it. tonguue

Just kidding, as you really are:

But I do hope this PR stuff with bonus chapters in seperate special editions is limited to TLoS4 only.

Besides having to buy the same book 2-3 times (plus maybe the audiobook too) for fans outside of the USA it's extremely difficult to buy each version without help from American friends/connections. On top of that the shipping costs are usually a lot more than what the book costs itself, which makes it all quite expensive.
Plus as each different version has to be purchased at different stores it's impossible to get all the books you want to complete the 'set' (like the 2 different special editions and the audiobook, and maybe even a signed one) shipped in one big order/package, which would greatly reduce the shipping costs. And none of those shipping costs will benefit Chris' purse in any way.

Fortunely I recently got some extra money to indulge myself, but next year I might have to pass on any special editions. mince

I love Chris' creative mind to bits and pieces, and want to read every word he writes, but there are limits to how much I can spend on him, and I'm sure that's true for many fans, especially the younger ones.

I have to say, those preview illustrations are simply gorgeous. Chris' literary/book publisher/media people are doing such a great job with this latest release.

My bookstore finally made the book available, not the audio one yet, but the book. So hoping their warehouse is quick and our postal services efficient. (Like that is going to happen!) Hopefully in the beginning of next week or if I'm really lucky then before friday, the copy will be mine!
