Re: The Land of Stories Main Thread
pre-ordered on my amazon kindle. then I realized that I won't get that fold out map. so i will order both, plus the audio book. I won't listen to the audio book in my car though. it would be worse than talking on a cell phone. I will not be able to focus on anything.

Fall 2012 Sneak Previews
Compiled by Shannon Maughan

LITTLE, BROWN
Little, Brown channels Dr. Frankenstein with The Monster’s Monster by Patrick McDonnell, in which three little monsters build their own big, bad monster; All the Awake Animals (Are Almost Asleep) by Crescent Dragonwagon, illus. by David McPhail, an alliterative bedtime story; The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell by Chris Colfer, a first novel from the Glee star about twins who enter the world of fairy tales and have trouble getting out; Who Could That Be at This Hour? by Lemony Snicket, the first in the “autobiographical” All the Wrong Questions series; and The Diviners by Libba Bray, which kicks off a glitzy murder/mystery/occult series set in New York City during the Roaring ’20s.

Re: The Land of Stories Main Thread
The last time I have checked, it wasn't available on the french amazon but I intend to order the book and the audiobook too. it would be a challenge though for me to read it, hopefully it's supposed to target a young audience, so I guess the language won't be too elaborate.fantastica wrote:pre-ordered on my amazon kindle. then I realized that I won't get that fold out map. so i will order both, plus the audio book. Re: The Land of Stories Main Thread
I'll probably wind up ordering the hard cover, the e-book, and the audio book. I think I'll probably listen to the audio book first, though. I think I'll appreciate it more coming from Chris' voice than reading it on my own.
Re: The Land of Stories Main Thread
I will be ordering this book next month. I will get the audio book later on.
I have not bought a book in ages.
I think I'm too addicted to fanfiction.

^ the thing mr. colfer made me do. I can't believe I will be reading a children's novel plus watching a teen flick. I mean, I can be a grandma now if my kids are not careful these days.

Yeah. You might want to contact the admin about that.
Re: The Land of Stories Main Thread
Piracy for me girls. I'm hoping and epub/mobi version of it will appear at the most few days after the book is available. But, if by some divine intervention, I can buy a hard cover English copy in a book store I'm doing it. A translation, if there ever will be one, will one happen if the book is a huge hit and interests our publishers. And that probably from 6 months to a year in waiting at least. Had to wait for the last Harry Potter book 3 months if I'm not mistaken, even though I read it a day after it went on sale around the world.

And I think there's going to be a livetream of the BEA event on its website...

Re: The Land of Stories Main Thread
I just pre-ordered The Land of Stories as an e-book, a hardcover, and an audiobook. They had two versions of the audio book listed, and one was just $15.50 (the other was $47).

Please leave the audiobook at home, I don't want to see you hurt in a hospital because you were listening the sweet voice of Chris Colfer reading a children's book :O lol

Are you sure that will be available on internet??? I don't care about piracy because I haven't been able to order the book
PS: I also read HP on internet because I wasn't going to wait a year to read it! Is the same situation now.
Re: The Land of Stories Main Thread
Honey, you can find most new releases in a matter of hours to days after they come out. I downloaded HP 7 on the night it came out.

Re: The Land of Stories Main Thread
I think they are to be sent to book reviewers/critics so they can publish their reviews when the book is released. but consider it's only March, it's VERY advanced release.

I'm so jealous of the people who already have The Land of Stories. I want to read it so bad.
