I wonder if Conner will stay with Alex in the Land of Stories all those 5 months?
If so, then his mother must come up with a very good story to explain his absence at school for that entire time (plus why he abandoned his teacher and the book huggers and ran away in TLoS3 in the first place).

Hans Christian Andersen being an actual character in the book sounds awesome.

I've noticed that he doesn't age Alex and Conner along with the release dates of the books (meaning: there's a new book every year, but e.g. between books 3 and 4 the twins only age 5 months, not 1 year).

If Chris would have aged them in 'real' time (each book = 1 year), the twins would be adults after only a few more books. But now they age slower, so Chris could possibly write more TLoS books, if he wants to, of course. 
(something Glee should have done from the start, by spreading 1 school year over 2 seasons)

If the Curvy tree illustrated book doesn't come out until "next Christmas", that is December 2015.

I suspect there is a "twist" to keep the series ongoing, thus Chris cryptic " it's hard to explain" about possible future LOS books. Would not be surprised to have another multi year book deal renewal with his publishing company announced in the next couple of months.

Chris started writing LOS during the summer tour of 2011, and again, would not be shocked if ultimately the LOS series turns out to be his longest professional gig, eclipsing Glee.

how many books in the series also depend on the publisher's will. as long as the books are best sellers there can be more coming, that is, assume Chris isn't getting sick and tired of writing them.
