Re: Chris in Hot In Cleveland
Gonna hold out until the episode to pass judgement, although I am not a big fan of the writing of the show to begin with, so... I do appreciate that they are having Chris on though and seem excited
By the way, did anyone else immediately notice the similarities to a certain annoying costars story about having to come out as straight when he was in college? Just thought it was kind of funny and is apparently a thing that happens sometimes? Just saying, if any of his fans dare insult Chris about this episode, I shall point to their idol's comments on the subject.

Within the context of a comedy series is kinda reasonable or at least an unexpected twist, but in real life I think is more strange as usually is the opposite reaction. Have you ever asked why did you have that feeling?

Not that Reddit is the best source, but the amount of first-hand accounts of kids who "disappointed" their parents by being straight, is actually quite high

^I think some parents think it's 'cute' or something, when their kids are young and not yet sexually active, that is.
And maybe some moms want their sons to embrace their feminine side more, so they can keep them a bit closer, understand them better, I dunno.
But I do know it's not so uncommon as one would think.

Here is one example, the novelist Ayelet Woldman:
http://www.salon.com/2005/03/28/gay_marriage_21/
Excerpt:
It's better if one reads the whole column from her because she freely admits her other bias (such as the mixed feelings of having a lesbian daughter)
http://www.salon.com/2005/03/28/gay_marriage_21/
Excerpt:
"And even our most broad-minded relatives and friends would get a little uncomfortable when they saw him decked out in full Divine regalia. It is worse when I explain that I hope Zeke is gay. Think about it, I say. How many straight men maintain inappropriately intimate relationships with their mothers? How many shop with them? I want a gay son. People laugh, but they assume I’m kidding. I’m not."

Thanks for your recommendation that is better to read the whole column. I'm sorry but I find her reason selfish,so she believes if his son is gay he will spend more time with her? I don't know how real is that, because I've seen situations in which gay sons are not more close to their moms than straight boys.
@Lottie, what or who is Reddit?

Re: Chris in Hot In Cleveland
(Spoiler alert!)
I love Betty White.
Remember this?
xOh so I remembered some more things from HIC
OKay in the first big scene everyone kept flubbing their lines and at one point Chris kind of tripped over his line two times in a row and he was laughing and the director,I’m assuming, was right In Front of us and was laughing and then said “welcome to the club!” Jokingly because almost everyone at that point had messed up. The crew really seemed to really love Chris, no surprise there though.
At another point in that scene Chris says something about not being gay and Betty gives this look like “what did you just say” and On one of the takes Chris have her a dead serious look and Betty stared right back at him with her look and the audience was DYING it was so funny! Then after they both were laughing and Betty leaned over to give Chris a pat and I think they were chatting for a bit because the writers and stuff were talking over something.
I love Betty White.
Remember this?

I hope they want to keep him in the future! Like can't he be a mini guest star? The film all in one day, he can do it a few times while he is doing Glee, sigh, I just want Chris to be happy and he seems very happy there

Re: Chris in Hot In Cleveland
I don't know if this was here yet, but the episode is called 'Straight Outta Cleveland'.
Also, more spoilers, put behind a cut because they are literally lines from the script, and some might not want to know that much:
This could be fun or cringeworthy, or a combination of both. But I think Chris will make the best out of it regardless.
Also, more spoilers, put behind a cut because they are literally lines from the script, and some might not want to know that much:
- Spoiler:
- Omg I’m terrible with remembering but I’ll try!
When he first arrives, his mum answers the door and he hugs her and calls her “sis” because mom makes her feel old. And when he meets Betty White’s character he says something along the lines of “Mom I thought you said you were living with an elderly woman? Well who is this ray of sunshine then?”
He also has a line about “Coming out as a straight guy.” And Betty White jokes about him “Going back into the closet.”
Omg when he pretends to be engaged he kinda awkwardly puts his arm around the guy and everyone tells them to kiss, and they lean in and pucker up with these disgusted looks on their faces and then he’s like “No, I can’t do it. I’m straight.”
I’m terrible with lines I’m so sorry! I’m sure one of my friends will be able to fill you in better!

Another fan who is a diehard Chris fan, says some scenes were changed or lines re-written by the writers. That is why it took five hours.
ColferChristopher gives a different account.
The other person has not given the whole story.

Lol, they kinda look like mother and son, and the synchronized poses in the pictures really make them seem like family.

I for some reason had Christine Baranski playing as Chris's charactrers mother in my head and not Wendy Malick...these photo booth pictures made me realise that only now. ooops.

Re: Chris in Hot In Cleveland
We get to see him even sooner as expected!
July is already turning out to be a great Chris Colfer month.
I hope my holiday address has access to wifi, so I can download the episode. Or else I'll have to wait 2 more weeks!

.........and it turns out my holiday adress does indeed have wifi (although a crappy slow one). Yay!!!
Sneak peek: Victoria gets a visit from the son she always forgets (Chris Colfer) and Joy and Mitch (Tim Daly) debate their compatibility.
Another sneak peek from Hot in Cleveland:Victoria Welcomes Home Her Son and His Partner
Victoria (Wendie Malick) welcomes home her son Tony (Chris Colfer) and his “partner” (Sam Daly). Nothing is as it seems as the two men are business partners and Tony is in fact pretending to be gay as to not disappoint his mother.
marcmalkin Look! @chriscolfer is going to be on #hotincleveland on July 23.
