Chris in Hot In Cleveland

i love TV. from the moment you hear about casting news to the time the episode actually airs, there's only a few week's waiting. if chris' episode is filmed next week, i guess we can see it next month? that's a lot better than waiting for a movie to be released and distributed and actually show up in a theater near you.

Yes.

^ do they get to do more than 1 take? what if something screws up? like somebody messes up w/ a line?  or is it like stage work - one shot and that's it?

I've never gone to a live shooting, but my guess would be that they would do extra takes only if something went really wrong, but I could be totally wrong. Maybe Anne Neville will have some insight.

If I understand it right, "Hot in Cleveland" is  taped/filmed before a live audience, it's not broadcast live, so there's chances for retakes, etc.

A live broadcast is sometimes done with TV scripted shows for special occasions. I think Cheers and St. Elsewhere did a live one years ago, as was a  George Clooney b/w TV movie "failsafe", etc, etc.

Last year's "Sound of Music" was a big deal because it was the first live broadcast musical on network TV  in over 50 plus years.

I think I read that HIC's first ep of the season is traditionally live, but the rest are filmed in advance.

Does anyone know when Chris' episode will air. I usually do not watch Hot in Cleveland ,and do not want to miss Chris' episode,

Nobody knows yet,  but if you come here regularly you will certain to find out ahead of time.   .  Im sure the show and definitely Chris will tweet about the airing date and time. There will likely be a viewing thread here too so you won't miss it.

Good points thank you. In my opinion with the exception with Chris's written episode it will be way better than Glee.

So glad for Chris, and finally. As the weeks are gone, I was wondering when he was gonna start the shooting.

This definitely put a smile on my face. So glad to see Chris's career expanding as he continues his unwavering march towards world domination.
