Chris house is on sale. You can see pictures of the entire house (of course excluding his personal furniture) online. It is on a public website, but I really am not sure to post it here.

Moving on up, or out of LA, is the big question?Lottie2303 wrote:Chris house is on sale. You can see pictures of the entire house (of course excluding his personal furniture) online. It is on a public website, but I really am not sure to post it here.
It would be so nice if he'd be able to move somewhere, where none of his fans know where.

Yeah, I really hope it will remain a big secret. But I cannot deny I want to know. Being a fangirl and remaining morally correct isn't always easy.valkeakuulas wrote:Moving on up, or out of LA, is the big question?

Joke aside, he obviously has a new house somewhere, and I am happy it wasn't reported yet.

Re: Chris Colfer Appreciation Thread!--part 7
he bought the house at a bargain price at the lowest point of real estate market. now the market has bounced back. it's a good decision financial wise to sell it.
there can also be tons of other reasons - perhaps he doesn't like that house much as his permanent residence. perhaps his time at glee is come to an end and he's thinking about moving elsewhere. perhaps he wants to move into another, "dream" house. remember his current house is very small, only 2 bedrooms. perhaps he wants to move in w/ Will, and they will likely need bigger house to combine all of their stuff. you just never know.
for those who has seen his house before he bought it, it was a rather unimpressive blue front. did he do anything to change the facade?

^A bit. Added some stones. Nothing impressive. But his balcony is amazing. I feel so weird, as on that public listed website so many information are listed
Overall, if he sells for the current set price, Chris will make a big financial profit. Weren't there speculation anyway that Chris and Will moved in together? I think it is only logical to assume that is one of the reasons to sell the house.

he bought it for less than a million. how much is the asking price now? just curious. if will is indeed moving in, they will definitely need more room.

He brought it for: $ 860,000
It is up to sell: $ 1,150,500
Hence, almost 33,7% increase of profit.
The house has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. It would be enough for me

i remember it had only 2 bedrooms when he bought it. perhaps he renovated the basement or something and added an extra room for guests. i assume he would have family/friends staying over so it would make sense to add more space.

I can guarantee you, with Chris salary, I also would own a bigger and nicer house
It actually explains Chris pool party tweets, as his old house doesn't have one. I was wondering about which pool Chris was talking about (and taking pictures).. Guess, mission solved.

Re: Chris Colfer Appreciation Thread!--part 7
just saw the real estate listing that a glee friend sent to me. these are NOT chris' furnitures. they are placed there for "staging", probably rented. it's too "show roomy" and devoid of any personal items. closets are all empty! so we know chris no longer lives there. the outside of hte house still looks hideous. lol i gather he already moved into the house w/ a pool w/ Will. smart kid.
i am posting hte listing here because it's obvious chris doesn't live there anymore so there's no more privacy issue. you can, however, see the interior and exterior a bit. http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/8207-Mannix-Dr-Los-Angeles-CA-90046/20797607_zpid/

God the outside is hideous. I've never seen his house before. The inside is really pretty though, especially the balcony. I love balconies. Now, if only I had a million dollars.
Re: Chris Colfer Appreciation Thread!--part 7
I don't think so the outside is that hideous, but yet still, I believe it will get more the attention of a boy than a girl, because is has something that is says masculinity. However, I agree the inside is simply beautiful.
Re: Chris Colfer Appreciation Thread!--part 7
well, it's a million dollar house. the inside shouldn't be any worse. but, a lot of times curb appeal counts more. it's a lot easier to redo the interior, but not everybody can see the potential of an exterior renovation.

Re: Chris Colfer Appreciation Thread!--part 7
I don't like the front much either, but I think looks better than when he first bought it. If you click the "street view" tab on the listing you can see what it looked like then. I bet that privacy fence and gate were among the first things he had put in, for good reason.
The inside is beautiful though. I especially love the staircase, with all those little windows looking out at the canyon .

That house is gorgeous! The outside doesn't look too bad. Love the inside. I do kinda wish we got to see how Chris decorated it.

Re: Chris Colfer Appreciation Thread!--part 7
I must say, it surprised me how big the house actually is. But seeing Chris former private bathroom really felt a bit intrusive. I also have to agree with the rest, from the outside, the house really is no shining star. But I really like how Chris first house was very "basic" considering he was part of a multi-million dollar production, and really seems to be responsible with his money. I hope he found a new great home - one we will never really see (expect for the lizard at the pool )

Re: Chris Colfer Appreciation Thread!--part 7
A home like this, the price tag is not about the house itself (which is extremely nice on the interior even if the front exterior isn't anything to write home about). It's the location and the views. The views from the balconies are absolutely gorgeous. And the interior of the house is well appointed. The bathrooms look great and high end, the kitchen is fantastic and with the staged furniture it shows really well. I don't think that Chris will have difficulty selling it because the price is extremely reasonable for the area (where multi-million dollar homes are the norm). This would be considered a "starter home" for the area and a reasonable way to get into the area.

Re: Chris Colfer Appreciation Thread!--part 7
i just checked it out. in interior is just fabulous. and honestly, other the the blue color of the walls, i don't hate the exterior. you repaint that to white or some other color you want and it looks brand new. also, i love that stone pattern that starts at the outside wall and continues throughout the house (like the fireplace and such). it a very nice homey bright feel with a touch of rustic with that stone. chris home was gorgeous.
