A TCA surfboard is hardly anything to cry over, but I am a bit concerned that everyone else won in their categories.

Lea's speech was lovely. Haters are already saying that she didn't break down and fall to her knees onstage, therefore she was faking it. Are you kidding me right now? I know a lot of people hate her, but this young woman just lost her boyfriend. She is being so strong. They need to leave her alone and put themselves in her position. Maybe learn some compassion while they're at it.

And to Crazy Kerrie (because I know you're reading this): Chris (and Dianna) spent two-three weeks supporting Lea IN PERSON at her house in the first moments after his death, so shut the fuck up. Chris had a prior engagement and he didn't need to go to a stupid, teen award show or to make a big, public show of his support. He is quiet about it. Not everyone was there (including Chris and others), but that doesn't mean they care any less. Grow up.

I've been around tumblr, and some people don't understand how Chris wasn't tonight at TCA. Because, even though he didn't win, some believe he should had been there as part of the Glee cast, I mean almost everybody was there. They don't understand how his stuff scheduled the CC360 today.

Personally, is up to Chris which were the reasons why he didn't go, but it makes me feel sad lots of people are saying things like he isn't a team player.

I agree, but am a little bit concerned that he was the only Glee cast member to lose.

You might be right. I hope Jim had gotten more votes than Chris, although, I still wish Chris had won. If Chris lost just because of what you mentioned about he did not want to commit to go to the awards because of the book release, than I will have no doubt it was rigged.

Well, everyone says these awards are rigged.

I would doubt Fox was happy that Chris wasn't coming. He could have won, but they changed it so Jim won instead.

After season 4, I wouldn't put it past them. dryy

Chris said he doesn't want to publicly grieve. And that is what the rest of the cast are having to do on this stupid award show

Fox are putting Corey's death on display and the cast's grief. And I am disgusted and feel so sorry for the cast.

Despite Chris's prior engagements, I feel more comfortable that he wasn't there.

They had the memorial, they are having the tribute, why have the cast on display like this?

It's like Fox are trying to attract more viewers to the show from pity. :angry:

Did Becca and Heather win too? Is Chris really the only one from the cast who was nominated but didn't win? He has the biggest fan base after Lea, I love Jim but there is no way he can win in an award show where teenagers vote.

The fact that the results are rigged doesn't surprise me at all. Voting is a waste of time since the producers will decide who wins from the top vote getters. Odds are that Chris likely would have won going by votes, but there are politics behind the scenes to ensure that Jim Parsons (who I have nothing against) would win.

And Lea's speech was heartwarming, but I'm calling it like it is... she won on sympathy and because the producers wanted to stage this tribute. If Glee was going to sweep their awards because of sympathy and interest over Cory's death, then Chris being one of the very few not to win seems very inconvenient. Just lends more evidence that the results were chosen behind the scenes on not based on actual votes.

Then again, I have to question why this has me so irritated. I never paid attention to this award and when you look at the winners, the better artists were often losers (I mean, Pink losing to Demi? Seriously?) and given that the winners are notified well in advance of the end of voting that they should appear really stinks. Honestly, I'm glad that Chris was out of town doing his own event. He's so beyond all this idiocy.

Lea's speech was emotional and I'm sure she meant every word, but I had a feeling that she (and almost everyone from Glee) winning by a landslide was out of sympathy. As you said, Chris might have been included in the sweep, but the Fox producers got the final say in who won and who didn't from the show. Heather has always been somewhat critical of Glee in the past, and she basically left the show to start a family...and she didn't win either. The whole thing is suspicious.

This has me irritated as well. And I don't even give a crap about this joke of an awards show. I only care about the more serious award shows. I guess I'm pissed off that they practically singled Chris out as "punishment" or whatever, simply for attending to his own career over the public spectacle of the TCA memorial. Oh well. He has a Golden Globe and no one can take that away from him.

AGAIN. I feel so sorry for all the Glee girls. They are all so beautiful, sweet and talented but RIB/FOX treats them and their characters like crap. The fandom is right Glee (Glee writers/producers) must really hate women. The guys except Chris and Kevin always get more songs, more screen time and now even more awards than the girls.
Becca was so much better than Blake and Chord put together but she is not a man so Fox decided she doesn't deserve the stupid award.

Which is weird, because the girls and Chris and Kevin are the only cast members that impress me vocally!

I'm glad Lea got her award, I wasn't really rooting for anyone else aside from her and Chris. Actually, Becca has a ton of charisma too. I hate her character, but she's my favorite newbie cast member.

As for Glee hating women, I don't know about that. But Blake did win over Melissa for Breakout Star.

With the way they treat the female characters compared to the males it really looks like they have something against women even if they don't.

Maybe the reason for the awful writing is that all these 16-19 years old girls are written by 40+ years old men who have absolutely no idea what women think, feel, like or want.

^Exactly. Hollywood is full of men in suits with very old-fashioned ideas, and RIB are the worst when it comes to emphatizing with women (one of the reasons why I love Chris' writing so much, as he writes women characters so well).
