Yes, it's the 100th episode, I believe, that they need to hit. I'm not up on the details of how TV works, because most of my life I haven't even HAD a TV that worked (nor have I watched much), so I don't really understand the way reruns and syndication, etc, work. Perhaps someone who knows the business end of television can speak up?
It used to be 100 episodes, but as I understand it nowadays it's 88 episodes, which Glee has now. So that would not be a reason for renewal.

Huh. Well, I guess it must be that a "bird in hand" is better than "two in the bush." They can't be sure that cutting Glee and replacing it with a new show will result in better ratings/earnings than Glee already has.

Did anyone else see any foreshadowing of Blaine's proposal in these lines?
- 'It wasn't paradise' = Blaine cheating: it wasn't paradise, but it was home.
- 'Every prince has got to have his swan' = Klaine, and guess who's the prince and who's the swan (ugly duckling to 'Swan Song' anyone?).
- 'I would love to' = I guess this is obvious: "Yes, Blaine, I would love for you to propose to me."

I mean, the only reason why this probably was not foreshadowing is that I don't think these writers are capable of foreshadowing, but else.....

Oh, dear Lord, it didn't occur to me that Kurt's lines in the song were foreshadowing that *insert unpleasant adjective here* Klaine proposal until now.

Now I can't even enjoy listening to the few Kurt lines in ATB... crycry

LMAO. ptdr
Yes, Blaine was practically breathing in Ryder's face during that performance, he was sitting so close to him.

I'm not even kidding. The look Blaine was shooting at Ryder during that song was kind of similar to the one he was wearing just before his 'I love you' declaration to Kurt in season 2. I guess DC's 'Blaine-feels-moved' facial expression only comes in one shade.

I'm saying it again: I just loved the At the Ballet performance. I know it was built deliberately dramatic with the dark lights and the dancers, but it doesn't take anything away from it's beauty.

And it's the most watch performances of the episode at Youtube. Having rewatched it, perhaps too many times, I only now realised how each of the four were assigned a ballet couple which they followed after the last line. Just a beautiful little detail.

May I ask what ballet performences are allocated to the different characters? It may have some significance... (however, this is Glee!)

All of the dancer were introduced, two during Santana and the other two during Kurt and Isabelle, but when all four singers are visible on the stage, clearly separated twice, these are my guesses based on the dancers costumes:

Rachel: Sleeping Beauty
Santana: This one was difficult, but I'd say Giselle or something from the Regency era or from something modern, from the sixties.
Isabella: Romeo and Juliet
Kurt: Swan Lake

These are wild guesses, I'm not an expert on ballet, but I like it. If someone else has more suggestions, bring them because comparing the narrative from the ballet to the characters might work here. It's actually quite interesting, if the costume department and Zach Woodley have thought about these!

-Artie and Sam's idiotic, double standard. "Awesome! You were molested by a chick when you were 11!" I expected that from Sam (the moron), but I expected better from Artie. It's a shame. Artie was one of my last favorites left in the choir room too. :( I saw Marley's comment as saying "It may be cool to you guys, but it traumatized Ryder. So shut up!" I also like the fact that it was a female who molested Ryder as a child. Yes, most rapists and molesters are men, but women do this too (usually through a teaching position) and sadly, there is that double standard in real life. "Women can't really molest kids, especially boys, because the boys want it." I call bullshit. I LOVED Kitty's backstory. Becca's acting was good, and now I feel like I can understand her just a bit more and she has a little bit of my sympathy now. She is no longer an evil cartoon character. I know some people hate PSA's, but I love them. I love that Glee doesn't just entertain people, but educates them also.

-The slut shaming. Santana now has two dance-related jobs and stripping (cage dancing?) does make good money. I hated it when Santana told Rachel that appearing topless in a non-pornographic student film was wrong, and I hated it when Hummelberry told Santana that dancing on a bar and in a cage was wrong. Same thing with Brody being shamed (although, he should have been honest with Rachel) and with Blaine telling Sam that he was white trash. Besides, I think stripping is perfect for Santana (performing, dancing, sexuality, and good money) No, she doesn't want to get stuck with it for the rest of her life, but it's a good way for her to put herself through dancing in college, if she wants to. (Btw, *squee* at Kurt working as a singing waiter!). I loved Santana joining NYADA night class in dance as well. Yes, I always thought she's be a singer...but oh well. And it makes sense that most of the ND kids want to be performers. Showchoir combines theater, dance and music/singing into one. No, not all of the kids have to be performers (thank God Finn wants to be a teacher) but it makes sense that most of them want to. About Santana in dance class....I wish she'd drop the arrogant attitude though. I wonder how Cassie would react to her?

-Little Kurt was SO CUTE!!! Little Rachel was her same, prissy, adorable self. Does anyone notice that Little Santana never smiles?

-I hated the CrissColfer reference.

-I loved the little addition of Santana being a tomboy when she was a little kid.

-Loved ATB. Loved the Santana and Isabelle backstories. No, it wasn't as good as HWIK was vocally, but I still adored this number.

-Artie getting inspiration from the sound of rolling over a plastic water bottle was interesting and very true to how a muse can come out of nowhere.

-Love Isabelle!

-Overall, I just loved seeing Santana get her dream in mind. Not everyone is a Rachel/Kurt type with a dream since childhood, and seeing her find herself was touching and realistic. I wish her luck.

-Jane's singing has improved so much! She must've been training offscreen all this time!

-Becky confessed. Good for her.

-"We Will Rock You" was fun, creative and reminded me of "Stomp!" Loved the dancebreak with Jake. Kevin sounded amazing and even Darren surprised me.
