What did you think of the episode ?
4x18 "Shooting Star" Watch & Discussion thread
To quote ONTD Glee - "Possibly the new most-offensive-Glee-episode-of-all-time?"
And look, Beiste is in one of those episodes again. Figures.
You all know what to do. God help us all during this train-wreck.
Also, given the lack of Kurt in this episode, you may give your praise to the true star of the show by giving your vote to Lord Tubbington on our poll. The only creature that matters.

17 minutes until I skip watching Glee tonight.

Things that I can be doing this evening rather than watching Glee...
Tackling the pile of laundry I've been ignoring the past week.
Check email from work.
File my calluses.
Play Fruit Ninja on a loop (in Chris's honor, since he's a ninja).
Try to shove my cat's medicine down her throat.
Bandage wounds from giving cat her medicine.
Continue my North Korea missle watch.
Read Kadam, Kurtbastian and Kurtofsky porn in protest.

I am not watching tonight's episode. I will watch eventually, but do not want to contribute to the ratings. Instead of watching Glee I am watching a old movie recorded on my DVR. I am also surfing the internet.

Yup. I have it bookmarked and check it every day or so.
There has been a lot of good non-Klaine fic coming out lately.

Thought I would go on tumblr (now wish I hadn't).
I hate that some are saying this is best episode ever and the best acting ever.
And these idiots use Chris or Kurt as their icon.
Blarren stans are going nuts.
There aren't a lot commenting not as much as there is each time a new Glee episode comes on with thousands upon thousands leaving notes and endless blogs.
Not many are blogging which to me means they probably didn't watch it or if they have it's not worth blogging.

I've been on tumblr too, yeah my curiosity was stronger, and it surprises me there're not many bloggings. Though, by other side I've read comments of how breathtaking was this episode, but I guess those comments are from gleeks. So I'd like to know what GA think.

There were some comment yesterday on Tumblr. A lot of people said they won't blog about this episode because they hate the storyline and think it's just cheap way to gain ratings by manipulating people's emotions.
Those who think it's the best episode ever are probably the few fans the newbies have.

I haven't watched the episode yet but from what I saw on Tumblr Blaine has only one scene with Tina in the episode. He doesn't talk much. Even the spoiler about Blaine leaving a message to his parents was fake. He only mentions his parent during the Blina scene. Now I feel angry at myself for getting so frustrated about the lack of message for Kurt.
I don't understand why that woman gives false spoilers. From what I've read she has done it before too. I won't believe anything that comes from her from now on.

TV guide mentioned the twitter campaign:
Thursday's very special episode of Glee got fans talking — but not for all the right reasons. While some were touched by the show's moving depiction of a school-shooting scare, and others were shocked at Becky's (and subsequently Coach Sue's) involvement, there was yet another topic that had many up in arms online: the absence of Rachel (Lea Michele), Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Santana (Naya Rivera).
Since the show started splitting its storytelling between Lima and the Big Apple back in September, there has been the occasional episode here and there where New York's newest residents were nowhere to be seen. However, this time the beloved characters' lack of screen time was an especially rude awakening after graduates Rachel, Kurt, Finn (Cory Monteith) and Puck (Mark Salling) were featured prominently in promos for this week's episode. Angry fans called it a "bait-and-switch" and soon #NoNYCNoGleeForMe emerged on Twitter as a way to give a voice to all those frustrated fans.
Trim the budget: TV characters we want to get rid of
Taking into account the sensitivity of a subject like school violence, especially less than four months after the tragedy at Sandy Hook, it makes perfect sense that producers decided to focus on McKinley. But then why promote the episode with the NYADA kids? Maybe it was simply to prevent spoilers about Thursday's big story line? Or maybe it's because Rachel and Kurt have always been, and will always be, the real stars of Glee? Fans have spent years rooting for Rachel to break out of her reindeer sweaters and loner bubble and have also become deeply emotionally invested in Kurt's struggle to come out in Season 2, and those feelings are not easily replaced or put on the back burner. Glee has done an impressive job of making fans root for the new kids, particularly thanks to Melissa Benoist's beautiful vocals and Jacob Artist's charm, but will it ever be enough?
There are only four episodes left of Glee's fourth season, and presumably four episodes before the show must somehow deal with losing a whole other group of New Directions seniors, including original members Artie (Kevin McHale) and Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz), to graduation. If fans are upset without their Rachel-Kurt fix this week, it doesn't bode well for next year. Is it time for Glee to evolve into the Rachel-Kurt New York spin-off that maybe almost happened last year and ditch McKinley once and for all? Now might be the time for producers to take a second look at Glee 2.0.
What did you think of Thursday's episode? Were you moved by the special story line? Did you miss Rachel, Kurt and Santana? And what do you think about leaving Lima, Ohio, behind for good? Sound off below!

Re: 4x18 "Shooting Star" Watch & Discussion thread
If anyone is curious Becky was the one who fired the gun. She stole her father's gun so she can protect herself. Sue found out and asked for the gun. Becky accidentally pulled the trigger when she was giving it to Sue. Then she dropped it and there was a second shot.
Sue covered for Becky and now she is leaving McKinley.
The whole shooting scene was 6-7 minutes long. Jane did a great job. I liked Becca Tobin. Kitty confessed to Marley all the things she did. Fixing her clothes and all. The rest was bleh. Definitely not Emmy worthy, maybe just Jane's performance.

I'm not a violent person but I really want to slap hard all those people who say that last night's episode was the best acting they've ever seen on Glee.I can't believe that comment got more that 1100 notes. Sure all the phenomenal acting Chris, Lea and Naya have shown us is not enough to compare with the mediocrity from last night. I can cry and make over dramatic faces too. Will that win me a Golden Globe or an Emmy? No maybe an Oscar? That's what happens when the majority of people who still watch this show are 12 years old kids.

I know, and they have the audacity to have Chris or Kurt as their icons while they are saying that and they are meant to be fans of his.
I bet it was different ones reblogging and reblogging as they do a lot of that to make it look as if the notes are by all different people.

The last comment I read was that Darren Criss should win an award for this episode becasue his acting was incredible. INCREDIBLE!!!
I'm still laughing. The guy had only two lines and his fans once again make it look like the whole episode was about him. If they gave Chris an award everytime he cries on screen he would have gotten 1000 by now. The only people who did a good job from the young cast were Becca, Blake and Kevin imo. Why did I watch this episode at all? It was a waste of time. Next week they will be singing happy songs and dancing around like nothing happened.
