Re: Bistro on the corner
Girls I'd like to know your opinion, today my mom, who hardly ever interact with gay people, asked me who is the boy and who is the girl in the relationship of my friend with his boyfriend. I wasn't sure what to answer as for me there's not a clear role; for me it has to do more with the personality, so sometimes one is more "delicate" than the other one. I don't know, overall I remember those times we had talked about what's being or not effeminate.
Re: Bistro on the corner
The answer is neither as they are both men. And that is the point otherwise they would be straight.

There's a reason we have a word "heteronormative".
Trying to apply and force the (often old fashioned) standards and dynamics of hetero relationships onto gay (or any other non-hetero) relationships is trying to push a round peg into a square hole.
BTW: imo those heteronormative standards and dynamics are:
#1: not as firmly planted and rigid in tradition as some people would like us to believe, as the history of time shows quite a diversity when it comes to male<>female dynamics in and outside of relationships (with a lot of erasing of female power in the past going on by historians).
#2: even when there theoretically is a 'common/majority' general standard as to how men and women behave (both as a person oftheir gender and/or towards the other gender) people are still individuals and every relationship develops their own dynamic, which hopefully satisfies both partners, whether they have a more 'traditional' (heteronormative) role dynamic or not and/or whether they are straight or gay. As long as the couple itself is happy with the way their relationship is constructed anything goes.
To put a by (modern) society dictated 'normal' mould over any couple in an attempt to try to fit them in an also by (modern) society dictated 'normal' small box is just wrong.

Thanks for your opinion girls. I don't know why it took me aback when my mom asked me that question, and I simply told her "umm there's none". So thanks to you next time I'll be more prepared
Re: Bistro on the corner
Things get even more muddled because others associate effeminacy with being the "woman " in a relationship, which is insane because.....

...Sometimes it makes you feel upset when people have these kind of wrong ideas or concepts of what is being 'effeminate'? You know, I used to be one of those people, but I've learnt and I think that what society needs; to learn what are the differences.

Thanks for the video.
On a side note; I feel sad my country is out of the world cup. Now I'm rooting for Argentina, Uruguay or Netherlands.

I love these shows. Most of the time they're so right about all the f*ckery going on in the big bucks/business/political snakespit.Georgette888 wrote:Watch this. Just watch it. You won't be disappointed.
But the world is a very scary and corrupt place, ugh.

Wow, we won from Mexico!!!
But I think that was more luck than anything else, scoring twice in the last few minutes.

Re: Bistro on the corner
I am at the moment in my pyjamas looking after my friend kid and his friend. They are both six.
Myself and my housemate had to move out of our house and move into a friends house. I am currently at this friends ex-wife's house who is also a friend. She is working at the moment.
Thing is there is this twenty year old girl with this new born baby and she has gone psycho and was threatening to kill her boyfriend with a screwdriver, my housemate said Andrew, out friend, found her with a screwdriver to her boyfriends throat and had every intention of killing him.
She has been living at Andrew's house for the past six months, paying no rent and no bills.
She is on drugs, meth.
She has a taser as well.
Her boyfriend came to take the baby as she has been texting him that she was going to kill their baby, why he was over there tonight.
She has also stolen video games from Andrew's six year old son and sold them to get drugs. She has been stealing money from Andrews's wallet repeatedly when he used to live there permanently.
She has other places she can go, as her boyfriends mother offered to help them to get a flat and pay for the bond and two weeks rent.
We found out she refused the flat that her boyfriend found for them.
Colin, my housemate, called the cops, but they didn't come when I was still there.
I hope she is taken away so she get some help.
