tanita_mors wrote:yeah, an upper endoscopy. it was gross as hell. i ok now. my throat is a little sore when swallowing, the stomach is a little tender, but i read all that is normal especially when they are doing a biospy as well. i have been having stomach problems for months now, so this was an unfortunate natural step. i have to wait for biopsy results, but from what i can read from the examination notes i probably have a hiatus hernia or it's beging to form, plus some acid reflux of the esophagus. hopfully i can avoid medication and just get some dietary instructions to help me.
I'm so sorry hon. I know those procedures aren't fun. Hopefully the dietary restrictions will help, but don't be afraid to take the medication if you need it. The important thing is for you to feel better and there are few things worse than severe stomach problems that don't resolve (am speaking as someone who suffered gallstones for over a year before I had surgery).
Feel bad that the worst that I have to complain about right now is a minor cold that I'm fighting off and that my tattoo has hit the peeling, itchy phase of the healing process.

There has been lots of news this week
@Ranwing, lovely tattoo I like it.
@Lottie and Anna, congrats girls wish you the best.
@Tanita, I hope you're feeling better, I've never had an endoscopy, but I've heard is painful.

YES !!!!!!!!!!!
At least one match every day. Serbia isn't playing, but I love football and it's like a national holiday here. Everyone is watching it.

Have you ever played football? I got you, here football is loved by many people. As my country is on the world cup, the excitement is bigger.
I didn't see the match today, but I read Croatia did quite well, but still Brazil won.
Re: Bistro on the corner
if you are asking if I personally ever played football, the answer is YES. it's a big game here, and there isn't a girl who hasn't played with local kinds when i was growing up. but i don't play now, obviously, watching is my thing. good luck to chile in you games. i'm behind england (because my boy gerrard is the captain and i mostly follow the english premiership) but they got no chance really. i would love for germany to will, i love their style of playing.
honestly, i guessed last nights result (should have put some money on it ) but brazil was rather weak. if it wasn't for that gift of a penalty, i think 1:1 would have been the final score.

Re: Bistro on the corner
Thanks. You know I'm not a big football fan, but of course I'm rooting for my country. Then as things keep going, either I'll root for my country or I don't know what other team support, usually I'll go for Argentina.
Yeah, I read that Brazil got some help. And did you watch Spain-Netherlands match? uff I guess was a revenge for 'mechanical orange'.
Did you play football for many years?
p.s At this moment I'm in shock my team is making goals so quickly.

Re: Bistro on the corner
i wasn't training football dear. i played it in my park in front of my building with the rest of the kids. thought i was pretty good, but womans football isn't all that popular or developed here.
i'm happy chile won. i don't know your team well, but you were great last night.
and i'm rather happy about the dutch winning last night. i was on their side in the european cup and they with germany have the most effective and dynamic game play. i'm glad they kicked spain's ass last night.
i can't wait for england : italy tonight. i predict a small number of goals thought, those two ere never havy on them.

Girl you were right, they were only 3 goals. Didn't watch the match, but some people said England wasn't so good, is that right?
And currently I'm watching Argentina-Bosnia, and though I mentioned argentina is my second option after my country, I think they're not playing so good. Actually I think Messi is half of the team.

No, I wouldn't say that, they mostly lacked realism in front of the goal, but globally they weren't bad, mostly if you consider that they faced Italy, who are far from being the worst team in the world, on the contrary. I liked the match.
I'm glad France did well for once, and mostly that the players finally seem to understand what it is to be a team, and that playing football comes before playing stars (I'm still ashamed of 2010, I wanted to hit them all in the nuts).
Germany did once more a strong impression, even though the red card was too much for Pepe, but Germany already had the upper hand. And it also shows that the players need to control themselves better.

yeah. the goalkeeper saved mexico from losing 3:0 or 4:0. even without goals it was pretty good and entertaining match.

Re: Bistro on the corner
That goalkeeper deserves an award so after this is mexico in the round of 16? I know they already won their previous match.

Not sure, however...brisallie wrote:That goalkeeper deserves an award so after this is mexico in the round of 16? I know they already won their previous match.
Odds look good for them, since one of the other teams is bound to be 0-2, and unless the other two teams beat Brazil, they are sitting in a sweet spot.

So far Mexico has done it well, so I believe they will pass.
Right now I'm so nervous about the match. Spaniards are with eager to win that's not good.
p.s I'm all for latino countries.
Re: Bistro on the corner
the inept spain finally got what was coming to them. they were utterly impotent during tonight's match against chile. it was sight to behold. their boring ass play not to mention a lack of a decent centar forward (i know every one is worshiping diego costa, but the guy hasn't been in form since the finish of the primera/champions league and torres is history - thank god liverpool sold him when they did, best move ever) finally came back to bight then in the ass.

@tanita, who's diego costa? As I'm not into football I didn't know about him until now. The only ones I know are the 'stars' from Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Re: Bistro on the corner
he is the star striker from atletico madrid, the team that won the spanish primera this year.

Thanks. Well I wonder where his 'star striker' status did go in the world cup.
Are you watching England-Uruguay? Uff so England has been eliminated or still has a chance?
Re: Bistro on the corner
just watched it. it's like sweet sorrow for me. a liverpool striker killed the rest of liverpool that plays for england. (and i love my liverpool. and if they have any brains they won't sell suarez for any sum of money because that guy is the best striker in the world right now) they still have theoretical chances. if costa rica loses to italy, England beats costa rica and Uruguay loses from italy. then Uruguay, England and Costa Rica will all have 3 points and then the goal difference and the duels bewteen come into account. but that is a lot of if's.

Woohoo!! France wins 5-2 after a very, very good match! IT had been a while the team wasn't that invested and united. Of course it was just Switzerland, not a favorite, but the manner was there !

@coxfire, I think was good they set on fire their bus, has brought luck to France. Jokes aside, I think they're playing good.
P.S I just found out Italy lost his match. What's going on?

Even I, who watches football relatively rarely, thought Italy just played a really lazy and silly match. If your players cannot even remember to mind the offside whilst advancing then your team should lose.
I think italian players just became shocked from the Costa Rican goal and never recovered.
