They obviously don't appreciate what he and the others that aren't Lea and Darren and what they have given the show.

Ryan should stop pimping his favourites, and think of the show as a whole.

I hope the fandom do fall in love with Kurt's Vogue story and there is an outcry for more, than maybe these idiot writers will pull their heads out their arses and realise the potential of this story.

Well, it will be the fans that give the final verdict. So Brody could still be an epic fail.

What we see on the screen is not what Ryan and others see in their heads, it is all fantasy where everyone loves Rachel and Blaine, and don't care about the others, and think everyone will love Brody and praise them for bringing another so called hunk on the show.

I like that Sam is the good guy still, this will be the only thing that will get me interested in the McKinley story.

Obviously all they care about is Itune sales, but again that would be telling.

They might not get the numbers they are expecting with these songs.

I'm honestly starting to suspect that Fox don't want Chris to be their major male star of Glee because he's gay.

They've tried to make straight acting gay Blaine work, and they've tried to make straight Darren the new coming of Christ for Glee.
Now they are trying to make Brody work, and I'll bet they will focus more on Jake if Brody is a fail and Jake a success, just to get a new male teen heartthrob in the market.
In the mean time they neglect Kurt and only trod out Chris to do promotion work for Glee as a whole, but they give us no Kurt-centric promos, as a front tier character should deserve (and as Rachel/Lea gets).

I bet they are pissed that gay Chris became the breakout star, and not Cory or any of the other cute straight boys they have thrown at us.

If Chris was straight they would have pushed him as the new male lead in season 3, maybe even as early as season 2. Kurt would have kissed Rachel in 'I am Unicorn' and Tina in 'Props', and he would have had a shirtless scene or two. Kurt would have gotten into NYADA or have another, major storyline in season 4, and he would not be reduced to being the sidekick of Rachel.

It's nice for Fox to have a critical acclaim winning gay character in one of their shows, as long as he doesn't kiss, but it's another thing entirely to have a hot, gay and single stud (sexy and the media know it) as one of the most popular faces in their actors' stable.
Hollywood is still full of double standards.

I agree. If Chris was straight or even bi, Kurt/Rachel wouldn't be BFF, but the A couple. I doubt they would have cared if the character started out as gay, he would have be de-gayed by now (God only knows how many times it has happened already), you can bet on that. In Hollywood, it's still a hard sell from a gay man to be a show/movie lead.

I know this has probably nothing to do with this thread but did you noticed that Chris' name comes first when the episode starts. I know it's not on purpose and the actors' names are in alphabetic order but it felt really nice to see his name first.

He is the male lead of the show no matter who Fox tries to push upfront. He is fan favorite, Only Lea and Chris have over 1 million Twitter followers. Darren and Chord as the new guys of Season 2 couldn't replace him. At least they are kind of cute. These two Brody (Dean) and Jake (Jacob?) are nothing special. I find Brody annoying and somebody wrote something about his accent. I think he is British or Australian, I'm not sure. But his American accent sounds really forced and unnatural.
And last I agree with Sam about Jake not being hot. Most of the other boys on the show are hotter than him. But it's just my opinion. People have different tastes.

For me since season 2 that Kurt has taken the role of male lead next to Finn. But at the same time I find so hypocritical that Blaine is also a gay character but he could be the male lead only because the actor is straight ¬¬ How unfair and close minded.

Can I now totally rage that Ms. Tibideaux is the worst teacher (after Will, of course). Kurt doesn't get into NYADA, but she admits a girl who she said straight off the bat wasn't ready and needed more work and then cuts that girl on the first day of vocal work? Seriously? In what school would this ever be allowed? A spot in a highly competative program is for all intends and purposes wasted because instead of picking students that have proven they are ready for NYADA, she selects them by caprice.

And the idea of NYADA selecting the "best of the best" really was shot in the head with boring Brody who has the personality of a can of soup. Was not at all impressed by his singing in the shower. And Rachel in her dance class was a joke. My mom (like me) had a lot of dance training and has a good eye for seeing real talent in a dancer and she said it was painfully obvious that Rachel was a poor dancer with lousy form. They were able to hide the fact that Lea Michelle is not a dancer for the most part (though Hot Honey Rag in season 3 was a hot mess), but now that Rachel is in serious dance training? It's hard to keep up the pretence that she's been dancing all her life. A triple threat she is not.

NYADA is turning into a joke with the pop songs and the bad quality of the dances in dance class.


The least they can do is try to keep up the appearance that NYADA is a musical theatre school, not an MTV show.

I agree. They should do some kind of poll, and not just assume all people want are Lea and Darren. I guess they'll find out themselves when one day they decide to run the show on only those two and let Chris go. I'd love to see how the ratings plummet then.

oh honey, this show is not made for theater buffs like you. they are made for 14 yr olds who only want to see skins and kissings. you know - they want their ovaries to explode (or balls to blow up) so who cares what NYADA does or is. it's a made up school anyway. We can easily believe that it's a school for sluts and strippers.

They have to do sexy-dragging, because they know they aren't going to get Lea to be able to do realistic dance moves. I can't blame her, I have two left feet, and difficulty walking a straight line. Anyway, to cover up her inadequacies, they try to cover it up with sexy moves. Pre-teens will fall for that, because they believe what they are told. We will be told by everyone not Cassandra, that it was fabulous and hot, and totally sexy. No one will believe Cassie because she is a drinker, and therefore all opinions to the negative are disregarded, but watch how quickly their tune will change when Cassie drinks the Kool-aid and sees how wonderful in all ways Rachel is. Then she will be lauded as a paragon and wonderful teacher, so much better than Will (who still gave her just about everything she wanted).

This is also the show that gives Brittney the same angry-sex dancing routines. I wish they would have her do a sweet ballet or slow jazz type number. Just like belting, not everything has to have the energy of a thousand suns to be remarkable and touching. Until then I will always prefer Mike Chang's dancing, because you always got a love of the dance from his performance, not I'm doing my job and I'm really hot when I do it.

I will never, ever understand why they do not even come close to giving Kurt fangirls what they want. I mean, tumblr would break, twitter would break, prayers of thanks would come from all denominations, and the atheists would question a higher power, because something had to make Chris so gorgeous. That would be the reaction of Kurt in a wife beater, let alone shirtless. I don't need to see all sorts of skin, but Rachel sending Blaine a congratulations text because she catches Kurt coming out of the shower would not go amiss. Better yet, Kurt getting in a modeling photo op, and the whole gang looking at the magazine in the Glee room doing double takes and giving Blaine sly glances would be nice. In the end it is all about money, so why aren't they capitalizing on Chris' current standing. Author, writer, actor, singer, and pretty good dancer.

I've decided men must be in charge of this decision at FOX, because women wouldn't be so stupid.
