Why Stephen Sondheim Is A Genius, According To The Broadway Stars Who Love Him
10. “Performing Sondheim is more than just singing a song; it’s exposing a soul — sometimes a character’s, sometimes your own. Listening to Sondheim is like handing over the keys of your psyche. Every lyric and every note is so beautifully assembled, it instantly levels your mood to whatever emotion is being portrayed. It takes a true gift to make audiences feel music as much as they hear it, and a performer couldn’t ask for a better tool.” —Chris Colfer, performer
Chris has such a beautiful way with words, written or sung and he was born in my opinion for Sondheim, he makes me feel the emotion in the song every time!

What I love is how fucking humble he is. He has had a huge impact with this role, but he's not trying to build it up as being a game changer for recognition of gay rights. Not like some others (who I won't name here) who have been trumpeting about how important Glee in general (and Klaine in particular) were.
Love what he said about Cory... you can tell that he still misses his presence.

He's a jem with these little tidbits we've gotten in these somewhat post-Glee interviews. So well thought and interesting points.
He will mature so well. And it's nice to know that he's very careful but also truthful in what he's saying.

He already spilled the beans. It's now up to us to figure out what these beans are and how many of them are there. Or we can be patient and wait for him to count the beans for us.

'Glee' Power Rankings: Which Alum Is Most Likely to Succeed?
1. Chris Colfer (Kurt Hummel)
There’s so much to be said for ambition and work ethic. The Golden Globe winner, who also has two Emmy nominations to his name, may have the brightest — and broadest — future ahead. Colfer is the author of the New York Times bestselling The Land of Stories middle grade book series, which will see its fourth entry released this summer. He also wrote, executive produced, and starred in Struck by Lightning and has been tasked with writing an adaptation of The Little Leftover Witch for the Disney Channel. Lastly, he’s been cast as famed playwright Noël Coward in an upcoming biopic. Not too shabby, right? (source: Yahoo)
Everything's coming up Colfer! The best is yet to be
Re: Chris Colfer Appreciation Thread!--part 9
Chris said during Glee's first hiatus that he was getting offers for roles and none of them were like Kurt Hummel. And he has been saying this for years.
I am sure we will find out in due time when Chris is ready or whoever else is ready.
Showrunners would be interested in challenging Chris and seeing what else he can do acting wise and bring out the very best in him.
But Chris has said he would like to write and create characters for himself.
Hearing what Chris says about Cory makes me miss him.
I'll admit that after Cory died I stopped loving Glee. It made me stop caring about the show. I lost my passion for it, and my love for it.
The New York side made me still enjoy watching, but the show was not the same after Cory's death. A massive hole was left behind.

“I know that Chris Colfer has had a lot of people who were really saved by Kurt.”
Glee is ending and it is all about Chris and Kurt.

For me, this makes me beyond happy. I was in a very dark place in my life before and during the time Glee first aired. Kurt Hummel most definitely saved my life and I am so proud and happy that Chris and Kurt get this recognition. I am getting so emotional right now over this.

This is at the Gleek Reunion in France.
Jenna loved working with Chris, because he’s so clever he would read the lines on the page, and then he’d adlib extra lines that would be used instead, and he’s just awesome.

Re: Chris Colfer Appreciation Thread!--part 9
the character is so important because it's life changing and attitude changing for a whole generation. Before glee, many states have voted to keep gay marriage illegal in their constitutions. now, many of those states are facing legal challenges to over-throw those amendments and gay marriage are fully legal in many states. young people from conservative parents are embracing homosexuality as normal and acceptable. today even Republicans don't want to bother with gay marriage issues because their supporting constituents are dying off and the new generation of voters, freshly grown up from shows like Glee, have no interests in depriving people just like Kurt of their right to live and love like everyone else.
so, glee as a show maybe silly and awful later on, its impact is far reaching and for the better. kurt as its central figure will live on in history as a defining symbol of cultural change, even when nobody remembers glee anymore.

I am shocked and offended with how tight Chris Colfer wears his skinny jeans in public.
Role model my ass!
Oh.
Never mind.

^ I think you mean "role model: his ass" ahaha
(but it really is nice to see him comfortable wearing what he wants now, considering years before he was uneasy with wearing tight stuff that shows off his body)

May I just say as a Chris fan, I'm just figuratively holding my breath until we get confirmation that the Noel movie has finally started production. I'm so so excited and proud of Chris.
Looking forward to instagrams/tweets and BTS photos of NOel and of Chris out and about in London.
Then hoping for an extended PR and media blitz/book tour for the LOS release in July.
Like Grant Gustin, I live for Chris playing charades with Jimmy Fallon...
By then, we will probably know the other projects/movies that Chris has been hinting/teasing about.
It's a great time to be a Chris Colfer fan!

I want it to start shooting this week while I'm there! Probably not, but it would be cool to see filming.

Jellyrolls, do you plan to see any shows at the Westend while you're there?

Yes, I'll see at least one, maybe two shows. I am thinking about seeing something classic like Phantom or Les Mis.
