Remembering Cory

That was lovely. He is a very eloquent speaker, too.

No matter what I personally think about Fox using the TCA's as a Cory tribute; what Lea Michele said about Cory was lovely, and it took a lot of guts from her to make her first public appearance, whether it was orchestrated by her of by her bosses.
I may not always be charmed by Lea's public persona, but I respect her deeply for being able to go through with this:

Lea's speech was truly very moving and touching, I cried again... it must be so hard for her. She is a very brave and strong woman.

She is brave.

But I don't think she should have been put through this. She has do this again soon as Rachel.

It was a beautiful speech though. 

It's a bit painful to watch Lea's speech honouring Cory. She appeared to be on the verge of tears throughout.

I'm not looking forward to the Glee tribute episode for Cory (even if it's only BTS). It feels insensitive to put the cast members' very personal grief and loss on camera for the world to see.

I think it's like a band aid that needs to be ripped off (the memorial episode). What else can they do? Plus, it could be cathartic for the cast and the audiences as well. I believe it's the final "bump in the road" we all have to get over in terms of Cory's passing, right? Everything else has been done. And after that....he can truly rest in peace.

Poor Lea. I hate that people are calling her fake even now. She did lose her boyfriend for real...this isn't some TV episode. Do they not think that she is human and that the death of a loved one can cause her great pain? She can't win with some people. If she had broken down completely, she would have been called overdramatic and would've been accused of performing. But because she tried to stay as composed as she could, people are wondering why no "real tears" poured down her face. Insensitive.

What? Lea has been called fake? I admit that sometimes I believe she's fake, and is overexcited about things like promoting herself "Hey guys, isn't great the song I'm recording?", but I saw the speech and I genuinely believe she was sincere. She really was/is in love with Cory.

As regards the tribute episode, for me is a closure and farewell for both Cory and Finn. And hopefully after that, his image won't be overexposed.

I agree about the fakeness sometimes. But not when it comes to the death of her boyfriend.

Exactly. I feel this memorial episode will finally be the closing chapter to this tragedy.

I am not a Lea fan and will never be. But her sorrow is so real and it really breaks my heart. I wish her all the best and hope she has a great foundation of friends who can help her in this hard time.

Who else wants Kurt to sing "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother" during the Finn tribute episode?

I would like Kurt to sing one of Cory's favorite songs: 'I Want To Know What Love Is'.

I would love a group number of "Seasons of Love" from the musical RENT...perhaps Lea can sing another RENT song called "Without You"?

I was thinking of another RENT song called "Goodbye, Love" but the lyrics do not fit. The piano score for that song is just beautiful though.

I've wanted SOL since forever, but I wish it was used in a circumstance that wasn't so devastating. (I wanted it for the S3 finale). But it's perfect for this storyline, too.

Oh yeah! Forgot about that also! Her voice is perfect for Celine Dion, IMO. A friend of mine brought up this song for the memorial episode, and I thought it was a great idea.

i don't care who sings what, but i'm gonna be very disappointed if the episode doesn't end with cory's solo "this is not the end". the song is so oddly fitting and it's one of cory's best vocals in all 4 seasons of the show.

Agreed. With a montage of moments ending on a title card with his dates. I'll be a wreck but so, so fitting.
