Re: Chris in the UK
so we were one of the last groups (they closed the queue half an hour after we arrived) and we were in line for five hours before we saw him
there was about three minutes once we were let into the room where we could see him and oh god he looked so small and different like i recognised his mannerisms but it was all off somehow
when we got to the desk he looked up at my friend and i and said “oh wow you guys are tall” ..(im 5.10 shes 5.9) and his voice sounded so lovely but his accent was really shocking, it sounded so strong
and i just laughed awkwardly and then he passed me my book and i said “i just want to say that everything you’ve done means so much..” (or something along those lines i rambled) and he looked right into my eyes like everybody said he does
he said thank you so much and we were moved on.. the whole thing was maybe 10 seconds and as i left i said “see you later” like what the fuck when am i going to see him later oh god
then we went to the back of the shop to pull it together and we realised that he would be leaving in a minute so we hung around the area that had been roped of for him to walk through and he eventually came past but nobody in the group we were standing with said anything so i waved and he smiled and waved back and said “thanks for coming” and oh god he looked so so tired (he had just greeted maybe 900 people)
anyway it was all a blur but he is such a sweetheart as he was meant to stop signing way before us but kept going for longer and oh god it feels like i imagined it all.

It seems so. But, after giving a second look to the pic, I thought the cops (or bobby, is that how are called in England, right?) could have posed more rude. But that would have had a different meaning.

"So, 9 hours after leaving home, I got to meet Chris Colfer! As my followers might have noticed, I have a massive case of hero-worship when it comes to Chris, so I was feeling pretty intimidated waiting to meet him. It felt really very strange having only seen him on a screen, to round a corner and suddenly have him in the flesh sitting only 2 or 3 yards away. And we’re used to ignoring and not noticing American accents on our screens, but hearing him speak in real life was actually a strange shock: “oh yes! you’re American! Wow, that’s a strong accent!” He was so incredibly beautiful it was slightly unreal, with such an expressive face and arms too! He looks surprisingly delicate in real life, even if you’re used to staring at pictures of his biceps on tumblr, but he’s definitely the most physically perfect man I’ve ever seen (sorry, Adam!) I said that I just wanted to tell him how grateful I was that he’s been so open and honest about who he is, and I thanked him, and he said “No! Thank you, honey!” Then I said that I’d made a present for Brian, and showed it to him, and he laughed, and Alla started to grin, and Chris said “is that a Doctor Who cat toy?” And he picked it up and showed it to Alla, and I said “it’s a catnip Tardis”, and they both laughed again, and Chris said “that’s great, because he actually watches it with me, you know!” And I said thank you, again, and he said “thank you, honey!” again, and then I went and died quietly in a corner.
My long-suffering boyfriend who I roped in to take the photos watched several people with Chris, and he said what was really noticeable was how he made real eye contact with everyone, and whoever he was talking to had his complete attention. Adam and I had felt very much outnumbered, as the vast majority of people there were teenage girls, but we were so impressed by how kind Chris was to everyone, and how great the staff at Waterstone’s were, too; it was a long day, but worth every minute of it."

Re: Chris in the UK
This is yet another confirmation of how awesome and attentative he is with each individual person. And it doesn't matter if he starts with the same stuff, because everyone feels he says it just for them. I know I'd be puddle if he'd call me a sweetie or honey, and so many were, even though it's his "catchphrase".
I hope he now has a nice dinner and a good night sleep before he goes to that morning interview.
It has been a good day for so many fans, on and off location.

Re: Chris in the UK
^Even though Chris might have a 'catchphrase' (which is only logical and clever), it's the way he says it to each individual person, meaning it, and making it personal by commenting on something unique, like a piece of clothing or an accessoire. As you said: he says it as if it's just for the person he's talking to at that moment, including making eye contact with them.
Plus by using small talk conversation skills like that Chris actually helps those fans have a good experience while they are in front of him and are so star struck that they can't speak themselves.

I have always tried to have eye contact with each of my customers and I have to say it is not easy! It seems easy but not so much. There are always distractions and it takes concentration to have eye to eye. And.. sometimes it takes the other person off guard and uncomfortable but it is admirable that he does this. I hope to someday meet Chris and then we could have a stare down! Just kidding.

^Hey, you're a good kind of 'crazy'.
I'm glad you had such a good experience meeting Chris.
How wonderful you told him about your students listening to his audiobook and writing fairytales. He must have liked that.
Almost all the fan encounters speak about how much more beautiful and impressive Chris is in 'the flesh', and how he makes you feel like you are the only one who is important for him in those few seconds.
He seems to have great charisma.

It's lucky Chris by looks of it has two big bodyguards.
Is that guy a fan? He shouldn't do that. Neither Alla or Chris looks happy with it, though Chris tried to hide his discomfort. But still I'm wondering how he did approach so close, because Chris has huge bodyguards who don't allow that.Glorfindel wrote:Apparently Chris said this to a fan at the signing:
God, how I love that man.
Love this. It must have been meaningful for her to be in front of the person she admires telling her "you're better than this". Also proves me why this boy is admirable.
@ColferInspired, I'm glad you met Chris. I bet it was an awesome moment for you, and you'll remember forever.
On a side note: He looks good wearing that white shirt and purple tie. Like a preppy boy (for me that's perfect for England)
Um, that wasn't me. It was late, I was tired, and just didn't post the links.
I'd love it if it was, but unless Chris comes to Australia, then yes, I would be definitely posting a fan account, pics, video. The whole shebang.
But someone from our wonderful forum did get to meet him.

Got it. Sometimes I browse the post so fast, that I don't concentrate 100% on what I'm reading. And by other side, wrongly I believed you were in England. Or maybe, I mistook you with that person who actually meet him. (I've been so tired lately that it seems I've lose my mind...my focus.)
P.S Why are your posts in red?
On a side note: Chris wore his chrundershirt under his shirt? I can't figure out if he wore it or not.

Just so it doesn't look like a part of the quote. I thought it might seem easier.
I thought this was fixed, so I would be able to post underneath.
I sometimes just skim through a post, and I don't always concentrate either.
It's not good to be so tired. I hope you are able to get some rest.

Today has been the greatest day of my life, I never thought Chris would come to England and now I’ve actually met him, my life is complete. I still cannot process the fact that I’ve met my idol and my whole world, the man who inspired me to write and gave me such a fantastic dream to work towards.
He was just so nice and amazing when I met him, I couldn’t speak at first until we got past the whole name thing and then, of course, my mission was to find out whether the his fish was called Monocle or Mr Peanut! He laughed when I asked and told me that one was called monocle and the other was called grandma (I was still internally screaming at this point).
Anyway, I gave him the card and letter after I went all cheesy on him like thank you for giving me a dream and stuff and he was just so amazing the whole time and I can’t stop crying every time i think about it, I just love Chris so much!
