I think Elliot's friendship with Rachel is being developed for 2 reasons:
#1) to make them sing together (as Lea and her fandom have been pushing for a duet for her and Adam), and
#2) to steer him away from Kurt. It seems they are doing some effort to keep Elliot from remaining more exclusively Kurt's friend/frenemy, as Starkurt's sizzling screen chemistry has not been gone unnoticed in the fandom.
And we can't have Kurt having amazing chemistry with another guy and the fandom wanting more to happen between them when we want to sell Klaine as a still viable and believable option of endgame for Kurt, now can we? dryy

I hope the record deal is either for Mercedes ('cause Ryan would suddenly remember her now that she's won DWTS) or Santana? But it will probably be Blaine, after Nationals vomit2

Fox Executive on Social TV Powerhouse ‘Glee’

During The Future of Social TV panel at the Lost Remote LA Show, VP of social media for Fox Broadcasting Company Cait Hood talked about one of the network’s most successful social TV stories—”Glee.”

Hood detailed the success of the show’s most recent social TV campaign for next year’s 100th episode celebration. The campaign let fans choose their favorite songs, with the top 10 being remixed by New Direction in the 100th episode airing in March, 2014. The campaign garnered 2.4 million votes worldwide.

“It was hugely successful for us and a great way to allow social to impact broadcast in a meaningful way,” Hood said. “Glee is one of our most social shows.”

She also talks about the differences—and similarities—between Fox’s fan-sourced “Almost Human” trailer-campaign and the “Glee” social campaigns.

“These two efforts, although niche vs more broad-based, we deem both to be successful in engaging the audience and allowing them to make meaningful contributions,” Hood said. “We’re constantly shaping efforts that are unique to each audience. The way we speak to AH fans is definitely different and unique in comparison to how we interact w/ Glee fans.”

Last time I checked the old cast (except Kevin and Jenna) were not in New Directions anymore so who the heck is going to perform the top 10 songs? Make up your minds already so I can decide if I want to to watch or not.

Of course the way you interact with Glee fans is different and unique, you are either offending us or treating us like idiots who can't notice the lack of continuity and logic.

So basically Fox is happy that the fans write the show for them? Why are they paying professional writers if the main storylines in the future might be taken from the fans. I'm sure someone has already in the history of TV shows tried writing/doing a show with fans direction.

they can save a lot of money just by going through various fan fictions and mix and match pieces of them for their future shows. no guarantee of quality but at least it won't be that much worse than what they already have.

I don't think Santana and Rachel are hooking up, Santana is with Dani.

I think there will be rivalry between Santana and Rachel in episode 9.

Elliott is singing with both girls in episode 10, so my guess he becomes friends with both. Remember there are band troubles which I am thinking are between Santana and Rachel.

The juicy part is not specific who it involves from what I read.

Lea didn't reveal that part.

But last time Chris tweeted about the show was the naughty scene with Bryce.

And this time it was with Adam.

Adam doesn't know how many episodes he is doing as he said in his interview at Trevor Live.

the recording contract thing i guess is for either of these 3:

danni, adam's character (i forgot his name - sorry), or mercedes. either way this can send one of these 3 off screen for good. at least any of these three deserve to get a recording contract.

. Why do they want Kurt to fly all the way from NYC to LA? It's not like RIB will let Klaine have a real conversation or anything. What's the point in sending Kurt to LA if all he will do there is sit in the audience and clap for ND.

If it would mean he would be off screen for good I hope it is Blaine. I doubt that would happened. He would most likely get even more screen time and sing even more, So I hope it is not him. I hope it is Kurt or anyone besides Blaine. Adam's character is StarChild/Elliott Gilbert.

Well, Kurt is the woman and he's supposed to be at Blaine's beck and call to support him. Never mind the fact that he's got commitments like his own school and band, or the fact that he's now out of the money he spent on the ticket that Blaine wasted. No, he's supposed to drop everything and rush to gaze adoringly at his fiancé while Blaine performs. And as the man, it's nice but not required for Blaine to show support for Kurt's work since Kurt's things will never be as important as Blaine's.

Yeah... the hypocrisy is pretty sickening.

I can deal with Sam and Tina if they aren't attached to Blaine. So I wish Blaine would go away the most.
