gleektoSpoiler Retraction - 5.10
The person who gave me the 5.10 Pamela Landsbury spoiler appears to be a troll.
She gave me further spoilers that I wasn’t sure whether to trust and so did not post, and those have now been confirmed to be foilers through GOBR’s spoilers (one thing was that nationals was happening after episode 12 - we now know it’s episode 11).
So basically, no reason to think the band breaks up in 10.
Sorry about that. (As I said then, this was not my usual source and could not confirm with certainty. But apparently, I can debunk with certainty - ha!)

And now the Blarren stans will be gnashing their teeth as they have been saying Elliott is gone after episode 10 because they see Elliott as a threat to Klaine.Glorfindel wrote:gleektoSpoiler Retraction - 5.10

Or they'll complain that Blarren hasn't done a duet with Elliot...ColferInspired wrote:And now the Blarren stans will be gnashing their teeth as they have been saying Elliott is gone after episode 10 because they see Elliott as a threat to Klaine.Glorfindel wrote:gleektoSpoiler Retraction - 5.10

I have seen some wanting Elliott to be gone or hooking up with Rachel, but so far the spoilers are band troubles.bayth wrote:Or they'll complain that Blarren hasn't done a duet with Elliot...ColferInspired wrote:And now the Blarren stans will be gnashing their teeth as they have been saying Elliott is gone after episode 10 because they see Elliott as a threat to Klaine.Glorfindel wrote:gleektoSpoiler Retraction - 5.10

I can see Rachel trying to take over the band by trying to convince Elliott that her and him sound better together than him and Kurt, if she did lose Fanny that is.

Re: Kurt Hummel Spoiler Thread - part 19
I feel the same. 11 episodes and he still hasn't sang a solo and I doubt they will give him one in the Nationals episode.Ranwing wrote:I agree that it's wonderful that Kurt has been singing as much as he has, but I'm still perturbed that we're going into the winter hiatus without a single Kurt solo so far and no hint that he's getting one anytime in the next few episodes. Thankfully he's gotten first voice on several of their numbers but no solo with 8 episodes in the can? Meh.
Yes, this self-entitled Kurt stan is going to sulk and be self-entitled.
I try not to be too bitter about it because he still got more than last season but it's really hard when I remember that other people already had 3 or 4 solos in 8 episodes.

Glad to hear the band breakup debunked…at least for now!
While a solo by this time or at least indicated in the coming episodes would've been perfect, I do love all the singing opportunities for Kurt so far this season. MUCH better than S4. Now we just need those solos.

Song spoiler for 5x10 (instead of the Mariah Carey song).

I grew up with that song

Love your sarcasm :sigh: still waiting for Kurt's solo.
Re: Kurt Hummel Spoiler Thread - part 19
I'm not too hung up on solos as long as someone has a good lead on a duet or group number. For example, I thought both "Get Back" and "Into the Groove" were pretty much Kurt centric numbers.

You have a point there those songs weren't solo, but I liked that Kurt was the lead singer, specially in "Into the Groove".
Re: Kurt Hummel Spoiler Thread - part 19
For pop, I am fine with leads and duets as I like the fun interaction. I also want a Kurtana, Kartie and Starkurt number so all is good if we get these. However, I do have a hankering for a Broadway solo like RT or AIWNSG or a classic number like AHINAH as a solo where Chris gets the opportunity to really emote.

Blasphemy!
"I want to hold your Hand" and "Blackbird" were pop solos for Kurt/Chris. Turn in your stanning googles, Georgette, you are stripped of your credentials... Feel shame!

I love Adam Lambert but I hate how unfair Glee is to Demi Lovato and her character. They just use her as a human prop. She has just one duet with Santana, a part in a trio and barely talks. Adam on the other hand has a solo, two duets with Kurt (yay for that), two trios in episode 10, his voice can be clearly heard in "Roar" and "The Fox" unlike Chris and Demi's and he is allowed to talk. It's like Demi is Kurt amongst the guest stars and Adam is Blaine.

It has more to do with Demi being Santana's girlfriend IMO. I've always thought that RM doesn't really care a fig about lesbian relationships.

Yup, also once again they are presented from the little we see as very almost virginal and very chaste. I mean, we are talking about Santana. Just as much as Kurt, she is the one with a very clear kinky side and I bet if she'd be hereto on the show, Santana would hook up on a daily basis with random guys.
Overall, agreed about Demi who is heavily under-utilized and especially with her voice that is a shame. Considering that she has a major fanbase and fame outside of Glee (and probably also costs a lot), not using her accordingly is plain stupid. But it is Glee.

Which ironically happened back in Season 1 and part of Season 2 when her orientation was not defined as gay yet...

Have to be honest, Santana never made sense for me from all the female characters to be a lesbian. Quinn would have been a much more intressting, realistic and suitable choice for that direction.

I always felt that Brittana was "doomed" because RM and company felt forced somewhat by fandom and Naya/Heather pushing it to make the characters a couple from a "wink wink" throw away joke of HS cheerleaders making out minor SL on Glee.
My hunch is they were never really interested in it. They seem more obsessed with gay males, (not surprising) and their male centric 'hero' POV on things can be quite depressing at times.

Re: Kurt Hummel Spoiler Thread - part 19
^ To be fair, Britannia never made sense in my eyes and was the very first major "fan pandering" moment by making them canon. They should have stuck to their guns and not listended to the audience in this case. They were clearly not commited and Britannia created so much more harm than good. As I said, with Quinn they actually had a great potential that would have fit canon very nicely.
It is sad that all females either have to be cheerleader or outsiders and are despreate for boyfriends, and all those sometime almost-males are presented as heroes who cleary need to save all the girls .

The worst is Tina, who seemed a sweet fairly balanced girl when going around with Mike (and even had a positive "first time" ) and was turned into a bitter, petty pathetic harping bitch in constant need of a boyfriend once she was single.

May I just say I find Nene Leakes has overstayed her one note character on Glee, she's like Becky, Sam and Tina, she just gets on the nerves onscreen.
