I actually like that "Get Back" is not the expected Hummelberry duet. It is different and not what I would have chose based upon previous songs.

^I like that too. Like.....I have no clue how it will sound, and that's exhilarating.
Chord is one of those cast members who gets better when paired with a good actor/singer, but gets worse when paired with one of the bad or mediocre actors/singers.AnneNeville wrote:No no nono! No need to edit your post!
I was just saying that I remember liking some of Sam's solos and his duet with Quinn, for instance. I'm hoping that if he isn't singing with Brittany (HeMo isn't a great voice) and he's been very frequently paired with Blaine, who lots of us have felt overload over.
I am ready to enjoy Sam songs . . . I'd be really happy if I discovered that I enjoy him again when he's on his own.

I'd like to be able to enjoy Chord/Sam more. And yes--I agree--he's elevated when paired with the right person. I remember really liking him on Billionaire, so I've liked some of his solos, too.Glorfindel wrote:^I like that too. That is why it would be nice to get different songs and combinations going. Chris sounds wonderful in GTGYIML and that is an uptemp number too.Glorfindel wrote:^I like that too. Like.....I have no clue how it will sound, and that's exhilarating.
So Far Kurt and Rachel have 3 songs each, so who knows, maybe RIB finally listen to some complaints about last year.

Re: Kurt Hummel Spoiler Thread - part 14
I was on the train coming home from work when the news broke. Needless to say, I'm absolutely delighted.
Hummelberry duet? Already enough to get me to do the happy dance. But to have them singing one of my favorite Beatles songs? Be still my heart.
Kurt singing with people other than the Grease Stain, and again, to one of my favorite Beatles songs? I feel almost spoiled. But then I remember how many songs the Grease Stain is getting and it goes away.
And it looks like I don't have to sit through Kurt escorting Blaine to the prom so I am a very, very happy little camper. Am disappointed that Sam is singing Something (since it's one of the most beautiful love songs ever written and I adore anything written by George Harrison) and I cannot imagine who Sam must be singing it to so I'm guessing that it's going to be wasted as a prom performance. What I wouldn't have given to hear Adam and Kurt singing it to one another.
Guys... is anyone else getting the feeling that all the joy of the Klainers about a reunion might be a trifle premature?

The only good news so far for the upcoming season is Kurt singing 3 songs Two without Blaine. Kurt might not be at prom and Kurt might not be stuck in Lima after all. I hope all of this turns out to be true.

I thought that I read an earlier post that Chris and Mike didn't film any scenes until after the prom scene wrapped. Maybe I'm wrong...AnneNeville wrote:What makes you think that Kurt isn't going to prom?Ranwing wrote:I was on the train coming home from work when the news broke. Interesting, so all the speculation was wrong..the "Henry" character is suppose to be in NY.
Related to Broadway SL, A "tony" winner...

Re: Kurt Hummel Spoiler Thread - part 14
I'm trying not to read too much into this and try to see how the producers are leaning, but I'm glad that Rachel's inexperience and the fact that the only real performance experience she has was a high school musical is a factor that is at least being addressed and might be working against her despite her talent. To not even have done community theater and going for a lead role in a Broadway production, let alone one as prestigious as Fanny Brice, is a huge leap. If it works, they've discovered a huge star in the making. If it flops, not only does the show fail but Rachel's career aspirations might be cut off at the knees.Buenos wrote:

I'm still hoping that Rachel doesn't get the part, but only on account of her complete lack of any professional experience (and is just seen as too big a gamble when you've got millions in investments on the line) and the choice for the part is someone who might not be quite the singer that she is, but is a great comedic actress and has the experience to prove that she can handle a lead role. That will give Rachel the hope that her dreams are not futile, but she needs to start small and work her way up to the big parts.

Re: Kurt Hummel Spoiler Thread - part 14
Well I'm focusing more that it's a NY character, and it's all good if they are genuinely trying to beef up that narrative.
A bunch of 20 something people (the actor auditioning) in the theatrical world is the vibe I'm getting. And yes, it looks like Rachel did not get "Funny Girl."
But happy for NY characters, less chance of 5 minute cameos...

Refresh me on the character breakdowns? I thought I suggested back when we first heard about these characters that all three men were for Funny Girl (Director, producer, male lead)?Buenos wrote:
