I went to Lea's tag and I should not have done that because there was some person who met the Glee cast and complained about Chris being so not cool and being snobby with fans or something. And there were some other people complaining too. I wonder what it is about, if he said something to them, because if that it is just because they did not get picture is overaction on their part imo.

What a lovely set of pictures to wake up to! That pocket scarf is a nice touch.

It must be hard work flying across the country and then doll up, be cheerful and having to please everyone from the screaming fans to the rotten excecutives. Why do people have the feel to need so entitled all the time?

That's exactly why they are complaining so much. I don't see a lot of pictures of Lea with fans too. Chris is not some landmark they can just stand to and take pictures. Maybe he wasn't feeling well. Maybe he didn't want to leave his boyfriend alone for too long. Just because he didn't spend the entire events taking hundreds of pictures like some others did doesn't mean he doens't care about him. I doubt these people are even his real fans. Or if they are they are probably kids who can't understand that Chris is not fan property and he is free to do whatever he wants.

These pics are so wonderful.

There is just so much Chill. And Chris looks so relaxed, so at ease.

I am guessing they will probably catch up with Ashley afterwards.

I would have thought Chris would be with Lea.

What if Chris got a job for Will on Glee. Imagine if he got to play Kurt's new boyfriend.

It could have been security.

In that video a security person got into camera view and Chris looked disappointed. Maybe the security said no to him, that he couldn't take pics with fans at time. Maybe Chris had to be somewhere else and couldn't stop.

If Chris has another book tour than can go to that.

I would be disappointed as well, but Chris is not obligated to cater to the fans.

I think Chris generaly doesn't interact with fans as much as some other castmembers but I don't think it makes him a bad person. Everyone has different personalites, different experiences, they all just normal people after all, I personally think if I was celebrity I would be called snob too (I am a big introvert).

There were in the past complaints from fans that he did not interact with them but some of the things I read today sounded even worse than usually that is why I wondered if he said something to them because the reaction from some fans was really big overaction if it was jut because they didn't get picture of autograph. I of course undestand disappointment after hours of waiting (but nobody forced them!) but what is too much is too much.

And what I find weird is to base someone's character (or change your opinion on someone based) on interaction with fans as many people seem to. Many people can interact with fans all day, be all giggly etc and in reality be very arrogant unlikeable people. Many things celebrites do in front of cameras is just calculated action for image.
Then there can be people who does not interact with fans at all because they are shy for example and in reality they can be very sweet people.

This one looks like a wedding photo. They are so hadsome. I'm in love with Chris' suit. That color looks great on him.

Isn't the first time that people are complaining that Chris don't interact with them as much as other cast members do. And being honest I would have complained too-in my case I'd be there only for him and probably for Lea too- but he could had his reasons behind, but it doesn't mean he's an evil person or he doesn't care about his fans. There're moments and moments, sometimes he's affectionate with everyone and other times, he's not able to be like that. And for instance, a couple of weeks ago a tv show was recorded in my city and one of the host didn't put attention to the audience at all, that's a complain attitude.

Will is so in love with Chris.

I just read that. In the same post, this fan said she had to "run down four flights of stairs" to "catch" "drunken" Lea. Reading that makes me wonder if she tried to chase Chris down as well. Maybe he was "not cool" because she chased him down four flights of stairs when he was just trying to get back to his hotel after a long day or something.

These people are just entitled brats. Just because they were there, it doesn't mean that they are entitled to meet, talk to, take pictures, and autographs with everyone. The actors don't have endless time at these. They just have time for a quick autograph and/or picture, and maybe a few words.

Some fans need to get over themselves.

After reading she "caught" Lea "drunken",I do believe this person only wanted an exclusive picture to see them in an embarrasing moment to share with everyone. That's not a real fan to me.

Well, apparently, it was just really organized and a big mess. Also, Darren did try and get every single fan he could and the security got really pissed off because he was holding back other celebrities. Those fans need to chill the fuck out. Get it? Chill?

I do wish people would stop saying they ship Chill because they aren't a ship.

They should say they support Chill, because that is better to say. I know these fans mean well, but it does annoy when I read the word ship allthetime.

I just came here to say the exact thing. Just because fans feel entitled all the time doesn't mean the actors have to give in to all their wishes.
From what I've read most of the Glee cast took a few pictures and signed some things, but they were all rushed inside fairly quickly. The only one who stayed with the fans longer was Darren, and he apparently pissed off security and PR-management with stalling too long on the red carpet.

Yes, but fans are allowed to be disappointed too. I am sorry, but this is a fan event as well. I expect that the fans should be included in the schedule and that all actors spend a certain amount of time with the audience. I'd be disappointed as well if I would wait for hours and not get anything in return. Chris and everyone else is successful, popular and in demand because of us. I expect from all actors to have a certain amount of time and effort to participate during official events. Without us, there are nothing either. But of course they only have a limited amount of times and other appointments to attend.

Anyhow, I haven't been there and I cannot judge Chris behavior. We don't have any background or insider information. Maybe his behavior also got exaggerated. The past very much suggest that he is really open minded, dedicated and thankful for his fans. Therefore I give him the benefit of doubt. One event won't make me start thinking less of him.

One of the mods on the GleeForum was at the Fox Upfronts. She saw Chris and said he was bombarded by fangirls, as we know recently from Ellen he hates crowds. Will was with him the whole time.

So, the crowd got crazy. I don't blame Chris not stopping for too many autographs. He has been grabbed before by a fan, you don't forget that in a hurry.

That happened while they were filming the Season 2 finale in New York, when they did the street scene with the cast, when he was wearing that russian hat, the black coat, and the "purple sex shirt" as the fandom has dubbed. They tried to rip his costume.

Though as they were filming. It was lucky he was wearing the coat. I always assumed he was wearing it when it happened.

That makes sense and explains his behavior perfectly. I am fine with him distancing himself once he gets ambushed. His safety always should be top priority.

I don't think this is the actors' 'fault' though. If anything, it's the ones who organized this 'fan' event, for not allowing some decent time for the actors to interact with their fans.
They were all rushed inside the tent when they were signing and taking pictures on the red carpet. Plus it seems there were just too many fans there to cater too.
And the actors were not allowed to take pictures when they were on the golf carts, as Chris himself said. That's the organization being too strict and badly timed, not the actors not willing.

Plus I think there is a difference between fan interaction when they are waiting for their faves at a red carpet or any other public event, and the moments when the actors are travelling between locations and/or are at dinner or at their hotel room, or a private party.
The girl in Lea Michele's tag was clearly following her around when she was on her way from a party to her hotel or elsewhere. No fan in such circumstances is entitled to a picture or autograph, or even the acknowledgment from the actor they are pursuing.

I didn't know about the location, I thought it happened at the red capret. Yes, then I agree with you every word. Once an official event is over, actors should be allowed to have a private life. But at the Upfronts itself, some time should be dedicated. Of course you are also right about safety, schedules and organization. I just wanted to argue fans are very much allowed to be disappointed as well, especially after waiting for several hours.
