^Exactly.
Aww, that's really sweet of Jenna.
I love how the original cast still is there for one another.

Re: The Land of Stories Main Thread
So glad and proud of this boy if were for me he can release as many books as he wants as long as we have news of him.
Re: The Land of Stories Main Thread
This is just the best news.
He is going a very busy man.
This is why I suspect he might take on guest star roles and maybe not take on any regular roles.
Though he is an expert at multi-tasking while able to reach dead-lines.

I'm so proud of him, because this shows his books were really well-received and the publishing company wants him to write more

Re: The Land of Stories Main Thread
deadline.comGlee’s Chris Colfer Inks New Five-Book Deal.
As Glee winds down, Chris Colfer is creating more opportunities for himself by going deeper into the Land of Stories. The Golden Globe-winning actor and NY Times bestselling author has inked a new five-book deal with publisher Little, Brown to expand the popular children’s fiction franchise he launched with 2012’s The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell.
That title exploded onto the bestseller list and spawned three sequels, with the fourth Land of Stories title set to hit shelves next year. Colfer’s new pact includes the fifth and final book in the Land of Stories series and a boxed set with new companion volumes Queen Red Riding Hood’s Guide to Royalty and The Mother Goose Diaries, to be released in fall 2015.
Colfer is also penning a pair of spin-off picture books inspired by Land lore and aimed at younger readers: The Curvy Tree, illustrated by Brandon Dorman and release next fall, and a second original picture book in 2016 highlighting the character Trollbella.
Colfer’s also plotting a new untitled YA novel for teens following the success of his first tome, Struck By Lightning, which was adapted into a feature film that he wrote and starred in. Tribeca Films released the indie drama in 2013. This new coming-of-age novel alights on a young television actor, who is joined by fans on a once-in-a-lifetime cross-country road trip. Smart move: That set-up is obviously primed to be another starring vehicle for the 24-year-old actor, who rounds out his run on Fox’s hit show Glee this year as the series concludes in its sixth and final season.
Colfer first revealed the upcoming slate of titles to his 2.49 million followers on Twitter. Meanwhile, his as-yet untitled fourth book in the Land of Stories series is heading for shelves on July 7, 2015.
The deal was brokered by Rob Weisbach of Rob Weisbach Creative Management with Little, Brown’s Andrew Smith and Alvina Ling, who will edit the new titles. Colfer is repped by Inphenate, Rob Weisbach Creative Management, Coast to Coast, and ICM Partners.
Regarding the bolded: this thought crossed my mind as well as soon as I read about that new young adult novel.
The book could lead to (or could be accompanied by) a new movie.

x'Glee' Star Chris Colfer Inks Five-Book Deal
The actor and New York Times best-selling author will pen the fifth and final installment of his popular 'Land of Stories' series, among others
Glee star Chris Colfer has signed a new five-book deal with Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, publisher Megan Tinley announced on Monday.
Although his Fox series finishes its run next year, Colfer will have no trouble staying busy: The new deal includes two middle-grade novels, a picture book and a YA title, as well as the fifth and final book of his popular series The Land of Stories.
“The Land of Stories has reached an audience beyond my wildest dreams,” Colfer said in a statement announcing the deal. “I'm thrilled it’s been so well received by kids, their teachers and librarians, and their parents (and sometimes their older siblings, too).”
The Land of Stories follows the mystical and fantastical adventures of twins Alex and Connor Bailey as they navigate adventure in a world fused with fairy tales. Four installments of the series have already been announced, with the first three reaching The New York Times best-seller list and the fourth, yet untitled, novel set to bow in stores and online on July 7, 2015.
Two of his new titles, Queen Red Riding Hood’s Guide to Royalty and The Mother Goose Diaries, will be released as a box set in fall 2015 and serve as companion pieces to the series.
The deal also marks Colfer’s return to YA fiction. The untitled novel does not yet have a release date but will follow a young actor and a few of his fans as they travel on a once-in-a-lifetime cross-country road trip. The coming-of-age adventure is his second foray into the genre, after his debut novel, Struck by Lightning: The Carson Phillips Journal, which was adapted into a feature film starring Colfer in the title role.
Also in fall 2015, the Golden Globe-winning Colfer is set to release his previously announced first picture book, The Curvy Tree, illustrated by Brandon Dorman.
The new deal also covers his 2016 picture book follow-up, which will star Land of Stories fan-favorite character Trollbella.
“Chris Colfer has been an absolute dream author to work with — he continues to impress me with everything that he writes,” Little Brown editor-in-chief Alvina Ling said in the announcement. “It’s a rare talent indeed who is able to effortlessly switch between writing for the middle grade, young adult, and picture book audiences, and Chris does so brilliantly.”
Colfer, best known for his role as Kurt Hummel on Glee, will also return to the series for its final six-episode run in 2015.
The actor-author is repped by Rob Weisbach Creative Management, Coast to Coast, Inphenate and ICM Partners.

Re: The Land of Stories Main Thread
I think writing is something Chris has learned to do even while in an acting project gig like Glee.
We know he even wrote some of the first LOS behind the stands on the second Glee tour.
Considering that I doubt any future acting gig will be as insanely time crammed as Glee was ( acting , dance rehearsals, and song recordings ) I would think Chris will continue to write during other acting projects.
My one guess is that he won't committ to another full network TV series ( 15 plus episodes) at least for a couple of years from now, if ever.

Re: The Land of Stories Main Thread
IMO It will turn out in the end that Chris Colfer will have a longer professional relationship with his publishing company, Little, Brown Books, then he had with Glee. Chris did Glee's pilot in late 2008 and will finish filming in early 2015, while he started writing his LOS books in the summer of 2011 and from all indications will be finishing the last of his current book deal output by 2017 at the earliest (even I don't expect him to finish the YA book any sooner).
It's obvious Little and Company think the world of him and his writing marketability.
10 books so far, wow.

Someone made a fun game based on the map of TLoS: link.
(^this is just a screenshot, not the actual game)
You have to point out the different locations of certain places mentioned in the book.
I admit I needed help from my youngest daughter to complete the task flawless.
Whoever did this: great job!

Did you notice he was the only man out of those finalists and I hope I am not being disparaging but I would also say the youngest!

Re: The Land of Stories Main Thread
ew.comYou have a bunch of books coming out this year. Are they all part of The Land of Stories?
I have a young adult novel coming out – I think, I should ask – next year. This year, I have the fourth book in the series is coming out, as well as my first children’s picture book and two spinoff novellas are coming out. And then summer of 2016 is when the fifth and final book in the series comes out and I think I’ll have a young adult novel coming out around the same time.

Oh, yes. Yes, yes. [Developing The Land of Stories as a TV or movie series is] definitely in the works. I am horribly superstitious so I won’t say anything else, but yeah, it’s definitely in the works.

This is so exciting! The reception to TLOS has been amazing, and an animated series or movie would be awesome
