I think the problem was All Broadway All The Time. I still think they just "Have To" do it in the NYADA storyline - maybe not every episode, but it still has to be present - otherwise what is the point which performance arts school they got in. It's the rest of the show that is going to be All Top 40 Pop ALL the time.

I don’t think that Kevin was particularly a fan of what I was trying to do with the beginning of this season. We did an episode of all show tunes, we did several of them. There was the West Side Story thing that I loved, but I don’t think the audience did. Kevin wants a Glee that’s about Top 40, pop culture, big stars.

I thought the Broadway oriented episodes of season 3 were some of the best. I hope they find a good balance, because I don't think I could stomach a NYADA where they study Katy Perry.

Hopefully they will find a balance: pop 40 at McKinley, Broadway at NYADA.

I think the mckinley people will sing most of the songs. i doubt kurt will sing much. I have a feeling that the more fox gets to say on the show the worse it will be - more top 40, more pop culture, less showtunes and oldies and things today's young people won't have much interest in. fox is about money. its not about creativity, or high art. we will also expect less drama. they want more brain numbling happy singing like jumping on tables while singing katie perry. yay!

I highly doubt we will be singing NYADA practices much. maybe a little for rachel. yes I am a big skeptic and sorry about this negative talk but I don't want to raise my hopes high. yes kurt will be in ny, but (1) he won't be singing more; probably a lot less; and (2) he won't be dating anyone. the best we can expect is that he won't be w/ blaine for awhile. anyone who wants more than that have to rely on fanfics, or write their own.

It can on occasion run a couple of minutes over, which luckily isn't a problem for me, I will be watching it on the Canadian channel.

He has Jessica as a mentor for something next year so they are planning some future for him but I am worried it's gonna be rather unconvincing after this "NYADA" season. Based on what Chris said that Jessica does what he always wanted and intented for Kurt I assume it has something to do with fashion. I always wanted Kurt to pursue fashion but because he would want to, not because his dream to go to NYADA failed, which is going to be. I don't like it at all.

What you said Arina, if he "settles" for something and sings less and becomes a Rachel accessory, I won't be watching season 4. If he is a Lima Loser, I won't be watching season 4. If the only good thing he has in his life is Blaine (and I like Blaine), I won't be watching season 4.

I agree, like I said, I always wanted Kurt to pursue fashion career, but its very very very late for it. Maybe if he got into NYADA and he realized later that it is not the right for him. But no this. This season they made all just about wanting to perfom and going into music school and nothing else, so it does not make any sense.

Michele didn't give specifics, but says she's looking forward to Rachel's adventures in Season 4. "I'm very excited about my storyline for next year for sure," she says.

Jane Lynch does know one thing about Sue Sylvester in Season 4: her baby will arrive in the fall. "She's due in September. I do know that. Either she'll be a newborn or I'm gonna give birth onscreen, I don't know."

So there you have it: the only concrete thing we know about "Glee" Season 4 is that Sue's having a baby. What do you hope happens next year?

Question: How is next season of Glee going to work exactly, what with half the show being set in New York and the other half at McKinley? —Jenny
Ausiello: This is subject to change, but it’s my understanding that they’re taking a Lost-like approach to Season 4 — devoting whole episodes to one location or the other. In other words, the premiere might be set at NYADA with Rachel and Kurt, while Episode 2 could focus on the first day back at McKinley. Smart way to go, IMHO.

Question: Please tell me Glee will actually be shooting in New York next season and not on some cheesy Hollywood backlot outfitted to look like New York. We can tell the difference. —Melissa

I think Chris just wants to see his character doing something that makes him happy and fun. While it's great acting material, I'm pretty sure all this "pain porn" isn't all that fun to portray and read episode after episode. It get so fucking depressing.

I only hate the fact that it's going to seam like he is settling for fashion because he just isn't good enough for preforming arts. If that is the truth, why were they pushing so fucking hard NYADA and performing arts or bust ???

He has to do this it is his job he could be jeapordising. He probably hates it, and he will get backlash from it. There will be fans attacking him on why didn't he stop it if he cared about the character so much.

Yup, I agree with you. I sort of hope those are not his true words or maybe we have interpreted them wrongly, though. Maybe he's saying that because he's tired of Kurt being the second best after Rachel ? I have no idea. I wish he gives an explanation about what happened to kurt in the finale but I don't think he'll do it.

Right now, I can't believe everything that Chris is saying about Kurt and Glee already. He did say things will be good and look how it turns out to be? I don't blame him, though. I know it's his obligation. But, it doesn't make me hurt less and I may have to avoid the coming interviews I hope I'm strong enough to do that

I don't think the actors have any REAL POWER when it come to the direction of their characters, especially if it clashes with the Baroness's vision (not to mention, he sounds awfully petty and vindictive to me, so getting on his bad side could be hazardous for ones character's fate and one actor's future).

^True, he has to be positive. But it is no secret that Chris wanted Kurt to go into fashion.
It is not him being enthusiastic about it that I'm a bit miffed about, it is the dismissing of Kurt's performing dreams and his struggle all year to get there.
Even if it's all for publicity: if Kurt really is not getting into NYADA or the performing arts at all, Chris could have been a bit more careful with this.
We all know he says what he wants, and does not care about PR that much.

Again: I don't want to criticize Chris for this, but if Kurt does not get into NYADA Chris' excitement for next season, no matter if he is getting paid for it, is a bit tactless.

I have the feeling since the interview about SJP doing something he always intented for Kurt came out so I cannot say I was really that surprised about what happened in this episode... if that interview didn't happen it would not occur to me at all, because there were only articles about Rachel and Kurt going to New York adventures everywhere... But like that I was prepared.

This season I know I feel was to punish Chris.

I don't want him to cop any backlash, but I feel he will.

He has probably been told to tow the line and speak positive all the time. He is being careful now, and I think we won't hear him speaking his mind regarding this show anymore. He wants to stay on Glee.

This is the only paycheck he is getting. If I was him I wouldn't want to jeapodise that either.

I hope no-one starts bombarding Chris with tweets about this. He doesn't deserve that.

^ It's ok, Marie. I don't think you're reading too much into it. I get where you're coming from when you said you're disappointed. Frankly speaking, I'm disappointed in that interview too. However, I won't blame Chris for that because he may have his reasons for saying that. I just hope we get more explanation from him because I don't think he's happy about how Kurt got screwed over and over again this season just for him to pursue fashion next season. Maybe he just say those words to encourage us to stay positive.

I want him to go to NYADA afte this whole season as well but honestly it does not seem very probably with this new situation so we should not have high expectations, unfortunately.
But anything can happen and they will change their ideas thousand times during the summer I think.

Why would anyone be twitter bombing Chris ? He doesn't write this show and he is entitled to his own opinion about the material he is getting. Maybe he likes it even if we all don't or maybe he can't really say he hates it because it is his job.

People need to take a step back, for heavens sake. It's just a tv show. (this isn't directed to anyone here).

I just feel that people are going overboard. I'm as disappointed as the rest of you about Kurt's fate, but it is what it is. It's one of the many things I wish didn't happen or happened differently on this very flawed show. Sucks to us I guess.

Some fans think that Chris gets what he wants and probably think this is what he wants for Kurt, and then attack him for lieing about wanting Kurt to have a happy ending. Those are the fanatics. They are the ones that would twitter bomb. Though I don't think it would happen.

I'm sure Chris isn't happy, but like I keep saying this is his job. I think he has to take a step back and just treat this as a job from now on, which is probably what he is doing.

I'm sure he is disappointed like all of us.
