Re: The Land of Stories 3 : Book Tour 2014
Pam Lepri: I am truly amazed how Chris Colfer’s book signing went today. I feel like I am living a dream because it went exactly the way I had hoped it would. I got to greet him at back door when he arrived in the receiving department, chatted with him about his upcoming projects while he was signing some books, got my books signed, got my picture taken with him, and I stood near him while I was moving customers along after they got their books signed. It was a great day and I will never forget it.

So, yesterday was amazing. Chris is lovely and genuine and has such long legs and his hair is mesmerizingly tall. I asked him about Noel (starts filming in March) and how his English accent was coming along (he said it wasn’t the accent so much as how Noel was the first to sort of overenunciate everything—which was because Coward’s mother was deaf). And he laughed so hard at the stuffed Diet Coke can I had knit for him and said, “oh my god! Did you MAKE that????” And I smiled so hard. And I got to meet flamingmuse and we discovered we are secretly sisters. And it was a truly awesome day.

My Chris Colfer Experience
I’ve always read other peoples experiences so incase anyone wants to know about this one heehee I flew to NYC from Ireland on the 2nd July 2014 excited to meet Chris at the NY signing after my parents kindly agreed to allow me to schedule the holiday around Chris’ signing! The 8th rocked around and I’m a bucket of nerves! We got there at around 1.00 and the guy said get in line at 1.30 but when we went upstairs to get in line the first set of seats were full! We were online until around 2 and then they brought out more seats and we sat down and waited til around 7.10 when Chris arrived! He looked so tiny and perfect walking in! He took pictures by TLOS3 board and then took to the stage where the lady introduced him and then he sat down and was so funny! He took a selfie with the crowd and told us all to retweet it and then he read chapter four (the wedding) from TLOS3 and he made jokes in between and then he did the Q and A. (We were given sheets of paper earlier to write questions down for him and then he picked a few.) Someone asked him about Brian minding all his travelling for the book tour and he joked about Brian saying that he was there at the signing! The crowd went nuts and then he said sorry he was just kidding! He was so adorable! He answered a few different Qs about a TLOS graphic novel which he would like (me too!) a TLOS movie/animated movie and the wonderful artwork Brandon does. Someone also asked him who his favourite avenger is and he said Black Widow! I eeeped because I adore Marvel! Then the signing began! When it was my turn I was so nervous and the adrenaline was pumping. I walked up said “Hi Chris how are you?” I can’t remember what he said, it’s like he said with his Hilary signing he couldn’t remember because of adrenaline! Then he slid my book back and looked up and I stuck my hand out and said “It’s an honour to meet you!” And he shook my hand and said “Oh thanks!” And then he looked a little confused but I think my accent might have thrown him off (I’m Irish and talk fast!) and then I scuttled off and my Mammy met him next and she said “Hi how are you?” He said “I’m good thanks how are you?@ She said “Good thanks.” She thanked him and he thanked her! And that was my experience at the signing! It was one of the best days of my life and I’ll never forget it! The fangirls were awesome, one of them took over the stereo system and played all of Chris’ Glee songs, Warbler songs and some Klaine duets! It was crazy and great! Plus Access Hollywood filmed at it which was cool to see all in all Chris Colfer is sweet, funny and kind. What a gentleman

So I just met Chris Colfer today in Naperville. He was such a sweetheart I can’t even. He said he liked my shirt. (I’m wearing my ‘Defy Gravity’ shirt that I got when I saw Wicked. He asked if I made it and when I said no he said that it was weird because Elphaba looks like Naya on my shirt.) This is so important. I had an actual conversation with Chris Colfer my life is complete.

Meeting Chris was amazing. Watching him light up at the sight of my boys was absolutely incredible. Seeing him interact with them and engage them made my heart melt. Giving them the tiny spoilers he gave them for Book 4 was absolutely precious. So much love for this man!

Had a great experience tonight with my kids and fandom friends
I’d ordered Jimmy’s book much later than Josie’s. When we got to the store and saw our tickets, we laughed—Jimmy’s was #370, so we joked about him having to wait by himself in that spot (we knew already that they’d let us go in as a group). Still, that’s a lot of books and people!
Josie had made a Rainbow Loom Alex to give to Chris, but once we got to the actual signing she was terrified of presenting it, so I told her I’d help. I think Chris was excited to see kids at the event! We walked up together and his eyes were immediately on Josie. I introduced her and she gave him the Alex doll she’d made. He asked how long it took her to make it, and then Jimmy chimed in with “Mom helped a lot,” lol. I said it was a big afternoon project … He thanked Josie and had nice things to say about the Alex doll. Then Chris stacked both of the signed books on the table with a thud and announced, “Well here’s what I made!” It was cute and funny, and we all laughed—and it was such a total Chris thing to say.
Also the kids read the book the whole car ride home.

Meeting Chris Colfer - TLOS3 Naperville signing.
It was perfection. Thats all that I can say about it. He was so sweet and there was only like 20 seconds per person but my question probably took up more than that and he wasn’t bothered in the slightest…
That’s Vivian and Christopher being creeps on the side.

SO I MET CHRIS COLFER
he was SOO sweet! I was scared about asking my question because the line was moving so fast I didn’t want to hold it up, but when I asked if I could ask him something he didn’t mind at all, and honestly I don’t even remember exactly what he answered because HE WAS GORGEOUS.
Like
wow. TV has nothing on him.
Anyway, that conversation with him was the best 20 seconds thus far in my life. He was SO nice and sweet and I would KILL to have a bit more time with him.

@Abi, I love seeing the kids there too...they want to see an author they love, and he's so sweet with them.
