The Land of Stories: Chris Colfer announces tour dates, releases exclusive excerpt

Ahead of the July 12th release of Chris Colfer’s new novel The Land of Stories: An Author’s Odyssey, EW can exclusively announce the author’s own odyssey: a 10-city national tour to promote the book.

An Author’s Odyssey is the fifth installment of Colfer’s bestselling fantasy series The Land of Stories. In April, when EW unveiled the cover to the new book, Colfer said, “Alex and Conner have traveled into the realms of fairy-tales and classic literature, but An Author’s Odyssey is their first adventure in a world created from their own imagination.”

He continued: “The series has inspired so many kids around the world to read and I hope this fifth book will encourage readers to write their own stories, too.”

Very sad that I may not be able to go to the NYC signing this year. Unfortunately it's the week before I go on vacation and we're short staffed in our office. I just don't see myself being able to squeeze out another day off.

Not too surprised that it looks like a really short tour this time around. Not if he's got to be in London in the not too distant future....

Well, it says US tour so like others we are guessing he is doing a Europeon tour and to be fair a lot of US fans have managed to meet Chris when they got their books signed, and maybe he is going to do a proper book tour there. saispa

I feel sorry for his newer fans that have just started to read the books. But maybe he will do another US book tour for his other books this year and there will be a book signing then. saispa

I would love it if there was one in Australia.

I'm not convinced yet that is even his complete American tour. I noticed that neither the Bay Area nor LA itself is listed, and for the first 4 books he's always been at his home turf of the Grove outdoor mall book store (Barnes and Noble?).
