CC360, Live Chat - 2013/08/11
The 3rd live webchat (called CC360) will begin in about 3 hours (4PM Californian time, 1 AM European time).
If you want to watch it live, here are 2 links:
- spreecast.
- thelandofstories.com.
I'm not sure I will be watching (too late for me), so I hope someone will record it and put it on youtube.
For those of you who will watch: have fun!

^I think you can just watch it without an account (I could last time), but honestly I'm not sure.
(And yes, I'm staying up for this after all, even when it means I get only 5 hours of sleep.)

Re: CC360, Live Chat - 2013/08/11
Well, it's working for me. At the moment over 3700 people are watching!
So far (from what I remember):
- Chris hesitated if he would write a 3rd TLoS book before this book tour, but seeing everyone so enthusiastic about the book during the tour made him more confident.
- He has a number of stories in his head for TLoS.
- He thinks that 100% of the people that came for his first book signings were Glee fans. Now, for the 2nd book he sees a lot of parents with their kids, so 50/50 Glee fans and people who come for the author Chris Colfer (instead of the Glee actor).
- He likes the quotes from Mrs. Peters (and I think Ezmia, but I don't remember).
- He liked the story of Rumpilstiltskin being connected to the evil enchantress and therefore also being considered as evil because that happens a lot in rl (e.g. to him).
- Lol, he keeps mentioning Oprah (hoping she has a question for him).
- The rocks that fell on the troll and the goblin kings were inspired by J.K. Rowling.
- In a possible 3rd book he wants more mother Goose.
- The name 'Alex' came from a cousin who was born when Chris was 12. 'Connor' was the name of a role he played in the local theatre at that time. He also explained some of the other names, but I can't remember them all. He liked the sound of "Evly the evil queen". The name 'Malumclaw' was based on "Malum" meaning bad/evil/malicious in other languages.
- His patronus (Harry Potter) would be in the shape of a llama.

Re: CC360, Live Chat - 2013/08/11
Lol, his 'guest' is indeed Brian. Awww, so cute!
- He didn't like recording the voice of mother Goose because the rasping hurt his throat. He loved recording Ezmia ('sultry' is the word he used).
- He loves the cover (said he made sketches himself with notes saying something like" "like this, but better").
What he loves the most about TLoS is stuff like teachers reading his book in school and making class profects inspired by the book.
- Someone asked which one of his books he would show to J.K. Rowling if he got the chance. He said both of the TLoS books together, not SBL because Carson swore too much.
- Because of acknowledging Brian people now label him as a cat person, but he loves dogs too.
- Chris was emotional because of the ending of TLoS2 too.

Marie, how and when did you summarize all of those information. The stream literally ended a minute ago
Loved his interactions with Brian. He is such a cat owner. Overall, I am so glad it was entirely focused on LoS. Even though it pissed me off that he needed (because of some stupid 'fans') to apologize once again for not attending TCA.

Re: CC360, Live Chat - 2013/08/11
I enjoyed it, but I wish people would ask more interesting questions. I sent in several, but they didn't get through screening. Instead, they let people ask variations on the same thing more than once! Cute though, and he got to make some verrrrry good points re: the internet, fame, and crisscolfer.

And for some reason he felt like he had to apologize for not being at TCA first thing . . .
I love him in glasses, though. So cute.

Re: CC360, Live Chat - 2013/08/11
I think that this had to be my favorite CC360 yet. This is the third right? I remember being on one live, one viewed later, and this one live. So three. I thought that everyone who was "live" was subdued, for a lack of a better word, than previously. The questions were well thought out and quite original and fun. I think Chris and the fans are really coming into their own. However, I don't say that about the crazy CC shippers. It was so much fun to see where everyone was from! It was difficult to watch and read the comments on the side of the screen, and eat my dinner! I even called in my son to see who had the bigger cat, we called it a tie.

Lol, I typed while listening and watching. I used to be a secretary way back when I was still saving money to go to the music conservatory, so I learned how to make notes and summarize meetings on the fly.Lottie2303 wrote:Marie, how and when did you summarize all of those information. Other things Chris said:
- When asked where he would live in the Land of Stories he first said the Charming Kingdom (I think, but I could be wrong about that -ETA-: it was the Fairy Kingdom), but he would get bored soon, and he would like the Eastern Kingdom because he could sleep a lot there and noone would care.
- Froggy was inspired by a magnet in the shape of a frog that his aunt used to put over a wedding picture of his uncle, so you would get a frog head wearing a suit.
And also a movie of the Princess and the Frog inspired him.
- When asked if he would ever include Peter Pan in one of his books, he said he mainly concentrated on the old stories (fairytales), but then started thinking about the idea and really liked it.
- One of his favorite music pieces was from the Lord of the Rings musical, but I don't know which one (let CSI tumblr do its work, please).

Marie, you are like a machine!! That's amazing! You could be a court reporter!
Brian was his guest! Awwww! I loved his "fatherly" voice!
I'm surprised he didn't mention Lauren Bacall when he mentioned actresses who would voice Mother Goose.

Just saw it on tumblr, I am so happy, so many people watched!!!
Also, it was so funny how Chris voice changes when he talked to Brian. His voice was so much higher and the entire conversation was so typical cat owner. Brian just looked unimpressed

Re: CC360, Live Chat - 2013/08/11
I didn't know he was going to do a CC360 live chat, but I'm glad so many people asked him questions, though some were repetitive, and also I love that Brian was his very special guest. I simply love that cat and how unimpressed he's by his owener achievements lol.
P.S Having seen those gifs above, is Chris's sight worse than before? It seems he wears his glasses more regularly now.

Re: CC360, Live Chat - 2013/08/11
It looks to me like they are actually reading glasses? I remember watching the first recording, and he said he had to get his glasses so he could see the questions better. He's also mentioned being dragged into school because he wasn't reading or writing at the proper level for his age. So . . . I'm thinking we just didn't see him reading very often before he started writing and doing book tours!brisallie wrote:I didn't know he was going to do a CC360 live chat, but I'm glad so many people asked him questions, though some were repetitive, and also I love that Brian was his very special guest.
