Re: Chris's 24th Birthday Party
I think all of Chris' friends expect him to have a costume party for his birthday. He's done it now for the last 3 years. His ideas for themes are a lot of fun. Plus, it seems like most of his friends would be in show business, so they love to dress up.

Re: Chris's 24th Birthday Party
I've always loved costume parties (or fancy dress). They tend to be a lot more fun than regular parties because there is something about being in costume that gets people to really lower their inhibitions and cut loose. I was at a convention where the theme of a private party I attended was Harry Potter After Dark (basically playing students who didn't have to worry about Filch and Mrs. Norris catching them).
Chris is so inventive and I love how his parties are as much about giving his friends a chance to really enjoy themselves as they are celebrating his milestones. And I'm very glad that the majority of people who attend are really his friends and not his castmates (though thankfully he's made some very good friends at work over the years).

Chris makes a better Harry Potter than a certain someone.
He embodies a character and becomes that character, why he is an excellent character actor.

Chris was actually honoring the character while the person who shall not be named was doing a parody of that character.

Re: Chris's 24th Birthday Party
Considering that TIME magazine had Chris write the piece on Harry Potter for their 100 most memorable fictional characters, somehow I"m not shocked Chris finally dressed up as him.
I keep on forgetting that (now) he's only 24; he was 8 years old when the first Harry POtter book was published in the US so he literally grew up with the series.

Of course my fantasy is that J K Rowling goes back to the well, and does series of adult Harry Potter books.
By then, Chris' movie "Noel" is a smash success and everyone knows he can do "English".
He stars in the Harry Potter movies, the grown up years.

All these pics are so cute. This post yesterday made me nod, misty-eyed lol:

I think one of two things is occurring in Chris Colfer’s life (and while he doesn’t care about whether or not I approve and he doesn’t need to care, I wholeheartedly approve of either one)…
Either:
1) Chris has managed to find a person who also adores dressing up and looking like a huge adorable dork.
Or:
2) Chris has managed to find a person who is willing to dress up and look like an adorable dork simply because he cares about Chris and about the things that make Chris happy.

Speaking of that, someone did this comparison, and though isn't the drawing from the book, still fits well.
Re: Chris's 24th Birthday Party
^ except Dan Rad was 11 yrs old then. Chris at 24 can still look like an 11 yr old now that's a miracle!

Exactly haha. I think not even Dan Rad could look like his 11 years old version as Chris does. How is that possible?
Re: Chris's 24th Birthday Party
I suspect Chris Colfer possesses the same "Ralph Machchio/Karate Kid looks like a 15 year old at the age of 30) gene.
An older example was the late Dick Clark of American Bandstand.
