I went up to him and told him that at the last book signing I met all of my closest friends and then more people online and he goes “oh I’m like match.com for friends"
What a cutie pie

When I saw I thought no don't talk about the show, but then this can't have done any harm.

(I’ve been fortunate enough to meet him a few times so I didn’t have anything original to ask so after our initial conversation this happened)
Me: So we [my friend was with me] have to know, how much of the Downton Abbey impression scenes between you and Oliver were ad-libbed?
Chris: Oh gosh, all of it, the entire thing! *laughs*
My friend: I could watch you guys just do that for an hour.
Chris: *laughs* Yeah it was a lot of fun I love working with Oliver.
Me: Yeah, you guys were great, we’re really hoping he comes back!
Chris: *laughs* Me too, me too! I love Oliver, I love him, he’s great! So, keep campaigning!

Re: The Land of Stories 2 : Book Tour 2013
This story is just so lovely.
Last night my daughter met Chris Colfer, and it was everything I could have imagined for her. She chattered at him about how much she loved the books, about how many friends she recommended them to, and about how she was missing an all-the-s’mores-she-could-eat bonfire to be there to see him, and how it was totally worth it.
And then she schooled him on the value and worth of Hufflepuffs, because you don’t slight Hufflepuff in her hearing without what has become a pretty standard lecture on the values of loyalty and friendship. He seemed suitably abashed.
Alla’s… assistant? niece? (she looks like her, yeah?) took video of her chattering about how much and why she likes Chris Colfer, which may show up on GMA this morning or sth apparently? Dunno, we’ll see.
And then we walked up to our hotel and she chattered for 16 blocks at 12:30 am about how awesome he was and how awesome it was and how much she loved the books and how she was disappointed to not see Mount Olympus on top of the Empire State Building and how cities are nice and all but how when she is an adult she wants to live somewhere where she can see the stars. It’s unclear how much of that nonstop excited chatter was about fatigue and how much of that was just the contact high. Y’all know how that goes.
And yeah, I talked to him again too, and he continues to be really kind of gorgeous at all times, and it was great and all. But watching her do that, watching her sit still in a very loud room full of people and then flee the scene so she could find a quiet place in the store to devour the book while we waited, and then watching her squirm in her seat while he read because she just finished that scene he read and IT WAS AWESOME, and watching her experience that with such joy and perfect excitement, was really lovely. Better than anything I could have experienced on my own, anyway, cynical and constantly evaluating like I am.
So I had 3 hours of sleep last night, and less the night before, and I am shattered and vaguely ill, and it’s going to be a long drive this morning and I have a 2:30 meeting and I just hope I can make it. Still. Totally worth it.
Thanks to everybody I linesat and hung out with - for everything.

Re: The Land of Stories 2 : Book Tour 2013
A couple of people I follow on twitter went (one of them is a member here, but doesn't really post). They asked him about Oliver. He said all of the Downton Abbey stuff was ablibbed, and he said he loved working with Oliver and the Apples, and that people should continue to campaign to bring them back.
Re: The Land of Stories 2 : Book Tour 2013
^Yes, I read that somewhere.
I'm so glad that Chris talked so enthusiastic and encouraging about Adam and the Apples, and how he loves working with Oliver (both in the HuffPost interview and at the book signing).
It's clear that for Chris too Klaine isn't the be all and end all of Kurt's storylines/destiny.
Some people should take notice that not everyone loves and worships Klaine the way they do (apparently not even one of the actors involved), and that it's perfectly okay to have a different opinion about Kurt's relationships on the show.

Re: The Land of Stories 2 : Book Tour 2013
Is it just me, or do these youtube videos autoplay on this forum? Anyway, I quickly paused the thing once I realized that Chris is reading an excerpt from the book (complete with Red's voice).
It looks like the audiobook for TLOS2 won't be ready till mid-August (when ordered from the B&N website), and the shipment may take up to 3 weeks to arrive on my continent. Sigh... there's a long wait ahead of me before I can get to read TLOS2.

^No, the videos don't autoplay for me. If I had known it does that for some I wouldn't have put it up like that.
Would you like me to change the video to a link, so you have to click on it first?
