I agree. I'm not judging Chris, I respect how he wants to lead his life, but I wonder why he's weary of standing next to his significant other in public or just wary of interacting with him in public. I wish he move out of the "shadows" and be proud, just like you said.

well chris is the star. Will is his guest. Photographers at the red carpet wants to shoot stars mainly. The stars typically come w/ a bunch an entourage of people like publicists/managers/agents, family members/guests, or whatever, and they usually stay away from the camera. remember these photos are public photos, taken by the media pros to be posted in entertainment magazines/websites and other public forums. Stars can pose w/ whoever they want to in private settings/with their own digital cams.

just give him time. He is an extremely private person, and maybe later when he is ready we might hear more about their relationship.
This would be all so new to him, as probably the other boyfriends he had didn't really mean much, in that he wasn't looking for something long term as they obviously weren't the right ones for him.
Chris isn't exactly in the shadows, fans have seen him and Will lately out and about. He just isn't ready to talk about his relationship with the media.

Chris looks great, and I don't think I ever saw Ashley looking better than in that beautiful dress.
The photo of Will, Chris and Ashley together is very, very nice. Will is also a handsome man.

As for Chris not getting photographed on the red carpet: I agree with Kim, that those red carpet shoots are mostly for the famous people in the entourage. Ashley would be photographed with Chris because she is also someone people in the showbizz know, but Will is not. It's very common that the celebrities do not get photos taken with their family and friends, unless they are famous too.

Besides: Chris only took Will with him for the first time at the SAG Awards, and this is the 2nd time. My guess is that he's taking it slowly with the exposure of Will: first no red carpet at all (SAG) and now red carpet with Will in the background.
And maybe Will chose himself to stay in the background?

Looking good, all of them really. If you don't look good in a big event like that them someone is doing their job wrong. Although Chris has proven that he looks good in a potato sack.

I'm already suprised that Will (I'm assuming it is now OK to use his name) and Chris are even this "out and proud" since it's really tough being the significant other when your partner is in the public eye. This makes me think this thing between them might be not from "yesterday" but from longer period time. I wouldn't dare to go out infront of those journalists and photographers if I wasn't somewhat sure about what I'm doing.

It's good news for Chris' future career, what ever that may be, that so many "famous" professionals seem to really like him.

I love that Chris is gradually getting to meet all his childhood heroes. I await the day he finally gets to meet Julie Andrews.

Though we really don't know much about Will at this point, I am impressed by how willing he is to be seen with Chris at public events; since being seen as Chris's significant other is more or less the same as being 'outed' to the world. I am also impressed by how little we know Will; and how we don't have any gossipy articles about Chris coming from Will at all. There has been no indication that Will is riding on Chris's fame or trying to get noticed through his connection to Chris. I think that if you're in a serious relationship with a celebrity, you don't really want to make a spectacle of it. It's something that should remain private; especially when Chris himself likes to keep his private life private.

Yeah even the fact he made his twitter and facebook accounts private makes me believe the public attention (fame) is not what is looking for.
