Okay, grain of salt and all buuuuuuut:
XMy friend who went to the SBL after party sent me this:i told him i was upset because i already knew the stuff he was telling me so he made it into a story for me
“It was a dark and stormy night…the club doors open. And I entered in. Along the right side of the wall were couches for people to sit on. On the left side Nintendo pictures were on the wall. Open bar. In the middle there were the stars of the film. Chris was talking to everyone. The director Brian was also an attention grabber. Chris played the Nintendo 3DS for a little bit. Until he did an E interview upstairs. Then he came back down. Then an announcement about the movie. It was sold and will be available in 5 markets.”

In commerial terms I would use it meaning that the movie is going to be represented in five continents ie. markets (Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa and America). I don't know if that's the same in moviebusiness but I would interpit this like they might have found a distributor that operates worldwide.

Re: SBL Tribeca Premiere
I was thinking, how long it usually takes for a movie after be premiered in a festival to be available in theaters? Because It seems that SBL hasn't have a date yet.
Re: SBL Tribeca Premiere
I heard they were planning for a Fall release. I'm not sure though .

Re: SBL Tribeca Premiere
In this digital era things can be prosessed and distributed quite quickly, but translations/subtitles in foreign countries take a bit longer, so fall would be better idea if they are thinking of a wider release, since the press promotions can be done mostly at the same time all over.

It's just what I heard. Don't take my word for it. I'm waiting for an official announcement from Chris .

are you sure it means 5 continents rather than 5 cities? most indie movies starting out in big cities first and then may expand to all over the country/north america. my initial reactio is "LA, NY, SanFran, Boston, and another lucky city. In cell phone industry "market" means a city or metro area.

Oh noo, don't say that. But you might be right if we are talking just about US markets. Still hoping for a global release or at least festival circuit release for us europeans in the late summer/fall season.

The film has Emma Watson's blessing. That's a good start .
