Not to be a downer but, as the Arctic Monkeys would say "anticipation has a habit to set you up for disappointment".

I will keep my expectations very low, such as TLoS 3 (even if even that is high ), and if it's even better, then I'll do a happy dance, hé.

It's really fun to see how "big announcement = shirtless" in Chris' fandom!!

oh i know. my baseline anticipation for the announcement is that he will shave his head. so you see, i won't get disappointed.  

the truth is, we pretty much know what kind of announcement it will be. it will be either one of these:

- biopic;
- TLOS related (sequal/3, or derivative work)
- the little witch/disney project finally
- his asylum movie
- making a music album
- a brand new book project (not TLOS or SBL related)
- a brand new movie script (not asylum)
- being casted in another movie (not biopic) or tv show
- being on a stage show
- some of his previous work being released in new markets (not really "big")
- his engagement w/ will (i doubt it)
- his adoption of a new animal (i doubt it even more)
- he is shaving his head (no way but i will throw it in for argument's sake)

I am so sorry, but I'd die laughing if Chris would introduce a second cat and sell it as big announcement.

We know about it, so he talked about it. I guess it is either LoS related or the biopic. I don't believe it is anything from the left field. He said we are waiting for some news. Chris, you are mean by teasing us

ETA: I was actually wrong. he just said we'd be incredible happy. So it can go everywhere...

Actually I think his adoption of new animal is much more probable than publicly big annoucing his engagement on twitter... not that I think either of those will happen.  


And I agree it's better to have a lower expectations and rather be surprised... It's fun to read everyones ideas everywhere but I just really hope I won't go on the internet tomorrow reading disappointed posts about expecting something better and why Chris thought it would make everyone very happy....  Sorry, probably my pessimistic side appears....

Yeah, the engagement speculation is also hilarious.

The speculations on Twitter are endless. I just have all those outlandish ideas and don't even try to be realistic, as I don't want to be disappointed/wrong. I will most likely be surprised anyway.

I don't want to disappoint Chris but if the big announcement is really about adopting a new pet I doubt a lot of people will be excited or even care.

I think all or at least most of the people who were suggesting the big annoucement being the adoption of new cat said it as joke not that they would really thought it is going to be this.. :-) But I personally would be laughing really hard if it was...

No, of course it's best not to expect the stars right away, but it must be more than just trolling with pet, marriage, hair or Halloween news.

What has me excited is Alla's hashtag. First of all her commenting on the shirtless requests means she knows what the news is, so it's not something domestic, but business related.
And secondly: she's a respectable PR/publisher person, so she wouldn't just hashtag "BigNews" if it was something trivial.

It's morning in NY too, so I'm being an unappologetic fangirl and waiting eagerly for any hint of this big announcement. Am far too excited for a rational adult to be over the goings on of a celebrity.

I have to laugh at the people who think that Chris would think taking his shirt off would require a big announcement. I hope they are kidding, but sadly, I think many of them are not kidding.

Of course the CC idiots are thinking it is going to be a big announcement about CC being on.

Whatever it is, I'm sure it will be a lot more interesting than anything we've been hearing about Glee lately.
