The Land of Stories 4 : Book Tour 2015

So I went to the TLOS book signing today, and it was so much fun! Met really enthusiastic Darren and Chris fans in line that were great to talk to.
Also Chris in person is literally so beautiful I can’t even describe it. He’s also naturally really different than you’d expect him to be from Kurt on glee, and in bts videos. I mean that in a good way though he’s incredibly kind, super chill, and really down to earth.
You really only get, I want to say 10 seconds with him (this is not an exaggeration), but it’s so very worth it. Honestly those 10 seconds felt very personal to me, and he looks directly at you when he speaks.
I told him that it was so cool that he mentioned speech and debate club in his struck by lightning dedication, because I was president of mine senior year. It was super quick and I was not eloquent at all but he still said “oh wow! That’s perfect, so great, thanks for coming!” And I really did feel like he heard me.
Honestly it was something I’ll never forget and am so lucky I got to go (and go with someone as cool as jacobsconlonwinchester).

So let me tell you a little story about the Naperville signing. We had 5 people in our group so I bought 5 tickets/books the first day they went on sale. All well and good, we were in the first 20. Great! We’d done this before - had the last person in line in our party take photos of the rest of us. Not this time. The only people who could take pics were designated photographers without tickets. We didn’t know this was a possibility. So we have a couple of blurry shots and some great memories. It seems they change the rules every year.
Chris? Was sweet, friendly and gorgeous in his black and white patterned button down shirt. Melanie & Alla - pleasant as ever. I did have a bit of time to just stand and observe him from about 3 feet away as one person in our party was presenting him with a charity photo book. I got to watch & listen & smile & laugh. And, well when I was done presenting him with my gift I remembered to shake his hand, so there’s that.

So here are some photos of me meeting Chris Today! My dad managed to take some really good photos of me!!!! Chris was perfect. I told him about how much of an inspiration he was to me. How because of his fandom I was able to achieve my dreams, and go to my dream college. He asked about my college, and he told me Thank You for coming out. I really forget what he said, but I’m so happy to have met him. I was number 30 in line, and I am pretty grateful. Chris is perfection. I’m so fortunate to live so close to Anderson’s that I can see him in person.
