In the Season Five finale, Rachel meets a famous television writer (guest star Kristen Schaal), whose eccentric personality catches Rachel off guard. Meanwhile, Sam and Mercedes deal with the pressure of commitment as their careers take off, and the time has finally come for Blaine's big showcase with June Dolloway (guest star Shirley MacLaine) at NYADA in the all-new "The Untitled Rachel Berry Project" Season Finale episode of GLEE airing Tuesday, May 13 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Not watching. I might read comments on this episode here. If I do watch a Glee episode it will be Old Dog, New Tricks.

I'm here. I expect to be bored, outraged and exasperated at various points. Mostly bored. And ready to hit the mute button so I don't have to suffer through SM and Blarren "sing".

Not watching one reason is I do not want to in any way help with the ratings. I am watching an episode of Glee.I am watching Old Dog, New Tricks.

OK... Rachel's storyline is officially a bore. The writer is a complete flake (and not in a funny way but a totally annoying way). And it's one thing to write a project around an actor - it's another to use the actor's own life as the foundation for the show.

And seriously... totally lame rational for Santana not being around. And Brittany just... shows up.

Bored already, commencing  the clipping of toenails while I feign interest.  I'm currently shaking my head at that dumb ass song they just had Mercedes sing.

So if Blaine crosses June, he'll be toast. Admittedly it was nice to see him really go to bat for Kurt, but what he should have done was tell the old bitch to go fuck herself. Not sit and sing to himself about how he's "risking it all" for love.

Yeah... angry Kurt is totally hot. And Blaine so brought it on himself. So sympathy? Nonexistent.

...and John Legend Darren Criss could never be.  Blaine just sang that song rather pointlessly, he wasn't even doing a teenage dream 3.0 singing it to Kurt.

This may just rival season 4 for most boring, pointless finale.

Chord Overstreet isn't exactly a favorite of mine, nor does he even ping the radar of talent to me...but I'd love to have his genetics or his personal trainers' number.

Are they actively trying to literally bore us to death?   Who is going to be left to watch this nonsense in 8 months then?

Kurt didn't even seem residually angry at Blaine.  I get Glee's lack of continuity...but they can't even pretend to have it during a single episode?

I just threw up in my mouth a little with that Kurt speech.  Nope.  Just nope.

I hear glitter in the sky and think of pink slaying it while doing an aerial act.   Rachel's version was pretty, but unremarkable to me.

I am very hard pressed to find anything positive to say here. Chris is pretty and that's about it.

Whoever wrote this should have his computer taken away from him and his fingers broken because it's the most inept episode that I've ever seen done. Everyone's careers are speeding along in a wave of wish fulfillment. Kurt has ample reason to be angry with Blaine but they're all kisses and butterflies afterwards. The only positive thing that I can say about that scene was that Kurt isn't focusing on Blaine and what Blaine is doing but his own reactions. Emotionally mature and healthy for Kurt but the relationship still sucks. Blaine had better fuck like a Greek god for Kurt to forgive him so quickly.

I just can't with Rachel's storyline. Talk about wish fulfillment. And way to butcher GITA. If anyone can explain to me the rational behind the song choices, I'll give them a cookie because I'm totally lost.

The Blarren Fucking like a Greek god thing is the only instance in which I'm happy glee could tell but Never show.  Thank god for small favors. Poor Kurt has to accept that "small favor" regularly though.

No kidding. And here I thought she would find her taste, but apparently she just had to tell Blaine once again how great he is and Kurt how gay married he should be. Sigh...

Well Kurt looked and sounded great on that waste of a song, and it was mostly, surprisingly, allocated to him.  I guess that's a win, though the song was rather dumb to me.

Well, that went exactly as I expected. June now gets to boast about discovering two great performers because Kurt totally kicked ass on that lame piece of shit song. He gets the benefit of being showcased without having had to put up with June's bullshit. About as good a resolution as we could have hoped for.
