Chris Colfer Appreciation Thread!--part 4
colferlovers:
autographed gift cookbook
“
In 2002 I cast a completely unknown kid named Chris Colfer as Ralphie in a stage production of A Christmas Story for The Good Company Players at the 2nd Space Theatre. I was honored to direct that production and to work with Chris in several shows over the next few years. This cookbook was a cast gift to me after the final performance. On the front page is a recipe for “Easy Vanilla ‘Icicle’ Cream” written for the book by Chris, along with his picture, autograph, and the words, “P.S., Have a merry x-mas Miss Liz!”. Ralphie, of course, was the kid who wanted a BB gun more than anything and when writing his wish in a school theme paper, he signed the theme, “P.S. Have a Merry Christmas Miss Shields”.The cookbook features other recipes from the cast that are specific to the story. Fans of the original movie will be sure to recognize other recipes in the book from our cast members; Meatloaf, Red Cabbage, and “Bumpus Hound” Pumpkin Pie. The book is the ONE AND ONLY in existence. It’s spiral bound, 18 pages, front and back cover, 9” X 6” PERFECT CONDITION. I wouldn’t sell it, but my daughter is a missionary at an orphanage in South Africa, and I want to raise money for her and the incredible work done for the kids. Monies raised will benefit Refilwe Community Project in Johannesburg, South Africa. If you want to donate privately, contact me and I’ll connect you (or search for the organization on the web). “http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chris-Colfer-autographed-gift-cookbook-/140860858408?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20cbf62028

Fox might want to try and get rid of Chris but knowing he made someone else full in love him like everyone else does that meets him, makes me happy that at least Chris has this.
I hate Fox and sent tweets with hashtags to Ryan, GleeFox, and Brad about what is being discussed in Snark N' Bark.
Do think it would be wise to send these to some of the media that have twitter such as AfterElton, Keck and others?
Or is that a bad idea?

I hope Domenech won't get nasty tweets because his character could potentially be new love interest for Kurt and also hope he won't get embarrasing tweets from fans who have the feeling that every guy who tweets about Chris (or is on picture with Chris or in the same building as Chris) has to be his boyfriend or something.
I want kurt to be single for a while, but i would love Kurt and Chase to be friendly co-workers/friends and then maybe something more :-) And I am all for flirty banter :-)

Gawk means staring at something stupidly or in amazement. Like you might gawk at Chris if you saw him in person.
I've never heard it used to describe something vocal, so I don't know if there is another meaning, or if Dan is just using it incorrectly.

I don't know much about these media people to be honest. Are they pro-Chris/Kurt? I thought AfterElton is more a DC/Blaine supporter, so my feeling is that they would be delighted with the direction the show is taking right now, with so much focus on Blaine.
And even if these media people are pro-Chris/Kurt, I doubt they have much sway in determining the writing done by RIB+

I just read the last two episode reviews at AfterElton, and the comments on Chris were very positive, so were the reviews. There were a few Blaine supporters there, extolling the virtues of all that is Blaine, but I think it was mainly skewed towards Chris.

I am starting to think their love affair with Darren is ending.
Chris is gorgeous and even they have noticed that.
They can try to make people sympathetic to Blaine, but the way Chris played it and everyone seeing how much hurt Kurt was going through, plus the crap Kurt put up with in season 3 and past seasons, and all the songs that Darren is singing, now more than Lea, which will start a rift in the fandom soon, which I will enjoy watching with relish, they won't succeed, and Darren isn't Chris.
And if they do bring in a new love interest for Kurt who is better actor than Darren and has more chemistry with Chris, Blaine will be become less important.
I loved it how some reviewers were trying to paint Blaine as the injured party and others were attacking them that Kurt was, that Kurt should never take Blaine back. The comments were outdoing the blaine stans.

I suggest you (and we all) do not bank our happiness on the the show's love affair w/ blaine/DC, unless you want to continue to have your soul tortured.
there are 2 options:
- continue to watch the show, and complaine via twitter etc. to the writers if we don't get enough kurt or kurt songs and whatever that bothered us. if you feel that supporting Chris is more important than keeping your own sanity, then do our best to voice our complaints while we still have hte stomatcch to watch teh show.
or:
- quit the show and stop reading all teh glee related spoilers etc. and stop all the misery.
I am wandering between these 2 options everyday, but closer to the second one.

I go through this dilemma all the time too Kim. But then the only thing that keeps bringing me back to this exhausting show is Chris's presence. I need to see him on screen. I still haven't seen SBL so Glee is the only way I get to watch him perform, although I really wish I could just quit Glee.

OT
Has anyone been wondering Chris is super skinny recently is he preparing for his second movie now?Like the people in the insane asylum are most unhealthily skinny.
Any thoughts?
If not, I'm a little worried about his health now.

While Chris is slender, he looks healthy. He has great color, his hair is rich and full. He has good muscle tone. I am not worried for his health. He looks yummy. I think he has always had a weight issue that he was concerned with, Hollywood accentuates that, but I don't think he looks unhealthy. I am more worried about Naya, or Lea. They are so freaking skinny, it is only the fullness in Naya's face that leads me to believe she is healthy, either than or she is on steroids for a respiratory condition and has some swelling.

Chris looks fine to me.
He has looked a bit too thin in the past (during the 2nd tour, imo), but I think he's filled out just perfect at the moment. (and that sounded a lot dirtier than I intended, lol)

Hey guys, just saw this on Heather's tumblr:

what if seeing Chris Colfer shirtless is like seeing an angel in true form and you just scream and bleed from your eyes from the sheer beauty before going blind and he’s really just trying to save us all

While it is altruistic of Chris to prevent millions of deaths, surely it is our decision if we wish to spontaneously combust at the site of his perfection?

The combined energy coming from these spontaneous combusts that will happen as soon as we see Mr. Colfer shirtless could supply a small country with electricity for at least a year.Divalicious wrote:While it is altruistic of Chris to prevent millions of deaths, surely it is our decision if we wish to spontaneously combust at the site of his perfection?

Hilarious
I'm guessing that the person who wrote this is a fan of Supernatural. I watched the episode where this medium was trying to gaze upon Castiel the angel, and she tragically ended up with two smoking pits where her eyes were....
I shall risk incurring the wrath of most people here by saying that I wish Chris would never strip off his shirt (unless it's for a very, very good reason). He doesn't need to rely on sex appeal to appeal to his fans. I find him very appealing just the way he is, undershirts and all

Re: Chris Colfer Appreciation Thread!--part 4
No, you're not the only one. I may joke about it, but I'm fine if Chris never takes off his shirt too. He doesn't need it to be sexy as hell, and unless it would be for a role in a movie or something he can keep his shirt on, imo.Delight wrote:

(although it would shut up a lot of people who think Chris has no 'real' sex-appeal, looking at you Emma)
