Oh, ang gongrats for finishing the grueling first part of becoming an adult.
Not a bad idea. I do enjoy California so I could see myself going there. Not right now but when I feel ready.
Thank you. It still feels kinda weird that I'm done with school.

As soon as I graduated a few years back, I drove all the way through the mountains in Colorado. It really is beautiful there. Cold, but beautiful. I also explored Chicago a bit and now I live in Canada right next to Lake Huron. Good days.

I've never been there, but do people usually dress up as Disney characters while that the theme park?

@Kurtsie4ever, I've read you're travelling alone to California, congrats girl. I promise you that it will be the best experience ever, and is gonna help you to grow up so much as an independent person. That it happened to me when I went to San Francisoc a couple of years ago. So have fun and take care.

Some little girls do dress up as the princesses as for other characters, I haven't seen it except the people that wear the character costumes (ex. Mickey, Minnie etc.)

When my children were little my girls also dressed up as princesses when we went to EuroDisney, but I don't think adults dress up.MoviesAreLife wrote:

Some adults buy a funny hat in one of the stores and wear those, though:
(I confess I have a Minnie Mouse ears headband/tiara/thing I wore the last time I was there.)

My parents didn't dress me up. But I was more pissed off not being allowed to ride in the scary roller coaster because of my height.

I had that same problem. Even now, I'm built like a 12 year old and I'm Chris's age.
Re: Bistro on the corner
I am thin, underweight, tiny and eat like a male bachelor. I will so die of a stroke one day.
But, I am allowed nowadays to enter those roller coasters .

Oh well according to doctors, I'm overweight, which I scoffed at, because I'm a size 4 in jeans. If they're going by celebrity standards, sure. But I'm a hobbit. I'm short, and I've been denied entrance to some movies because I look like I'm 15 or 16.
Re: Bistro on the corner
I also always carry an ID. I am 26 and some believe I am still a teenager. I can feel your pain.
Size 4 and overweight? In what universe? BTW, I don't get why anyone wants to be skinny thin. I'd love some meat on my bones.

By curiosity, what's your height?
Re: Bistro on the corner
I am 1,63cm now (don't ask me about the American height please), but I was a kid at that time.

Don't worry, here we use the meters system too. I'm only 1,52cm so for me is a usual problem to not be able to enter some rollercoasters.
Re: Bistro on the corner
Wow, that sucks. I already am annoyed about my height. Especially with my young look and thin body, I am always the cute one. But not in the positive, but in the "looooooooook at you! Aren't you a nice girl" way. Thankfully once I open my mouth people stop treating me like a little child .

Re: Bistro on the corner
I hate so much when people treat you like a little girl, only because you look younger than you're. But as you said, at the moment we open our months, they change their mind. But think sth positive: We always gonna look younger!
Re: Bistro on the corner
haha, once you reach the middle age, you WANT people to tell you how young you are.

I have a pair of Minnie Mouse ears too. They're similar to the ones Chris has in that picture.
I know how guys feel. I'm 5'2" and all the time people think I'm really young. I look like I'm 15-16 years old.

Re: Bistro on the corner
My youngest daughter is small too. She is 11 but looks like an 8 year old. Her younger brother is taller than her.
On top of that she skipped a class in school (she's smart, and at 11 year old she tested at having the intelligence and brain development of a 18-year old), so now she is in a group of children at least 1 year older than her: she looks like one of their little sisters.
Next school year she will go to highschool (I guess that would be middle school in America?), and she will have to get there on her bike (it's in a town a few miles from where we live). But she's still riding a small kid's bike because she doesn't fit on an adult's bike!
She is also a daredevil and gets really pissed when she is not allowed to ride on a rollercoaster or something similar.

Exactly! But as still I'm under 30, I want people to believe I'm an adult. Not older than I am, just my age.
@Kurtsie4ever, so you're like Lea Michele? Once I read she's 5,2
@Marie, as happens with boys, you girl could have a growth spurt in a year or two.
Re: Bistro on the corner
I hope so, but I think she takes after one of my grandmothers who was also tiny. There are a few other family members with the same body build.brisallie wrote:@Marie, as happens with boys, you girl could have a growth spurt in a year or two.
Ah well: she looks like a delicate fairy, so not all's bad!
