Chris tweeted the phone number to vote for Amber, pretending it was his own cell phone number.

Really, you'd have to be pretty daft to think that was his real phone number. First of all he would never tweet his real number, and second: it's a 1-800 number. I'm not living in the USA and even I know that cell phones don't have 1-800 numbers.

It was just a joke, probably prompted by the frustration of DWTS messing up the phone numbers on the show.

Silly me. And smart Chris! As I only browsed the tweet , I didn't notice the number started with 1-800, but you know what's funny, is that people actually believed it was his number. If I'm not wrong, please american girls confirm me this, the cellphone numbers start with the state code or something else.

But yeah, E!News is totally right: Chris is a damn genius!

Cell phone numbers usually begin with the area code for the place where you purchased your phone. I live in the 781 area code, but my cell phone is 617, which is a different area code for the Boston number.

If I move to another state, I can take that cell phone number with me if I want.

To my knowledge, you can not get an 800 number for a cell phone, but I could be wrong.

Regarding Chris tweeting it like that, I'm sure most of the people who follow Chris on twitter would know that is not his real cell phone number, and also Chris had retweeted Amber's tweet with the correct number, and a note about the number they gave being wrong.

Honestly, it doesn't really matter who it's about or what he read. The message is still the same. Dont become so obsessed with a character to the point that you would be willing to harm yourself because in the end, you're a real person, not them.

Chris used class to tweet this. He didn't give details because really this should reach out to all fandoms.

And this Joaquin guy, when he is not trying to promote for Ryan and Fox, and act like he worships Darren which I don't think he does and never did, judging from one tweet he put of when asked about episode one, when he about the Klaine scene and saying even without CC, the scene still looked beautiful after digitally remastered it.

So very, very true and I totally agree. But that Chris actually tweets about it speaks volumes, as he usually is really quiet and doesn't hand out 'lessons of the day'. Whatever happened, I hope he is fine.

IF the news of his being stalked at his former home is true , and his tweet regarding self harm by fandom, I honestly think Chris has a very ambivalent views on stardom and fandom.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if after Glee ends he takes some sort of sabbatical from the public eye. Would hate to see him work more behind the scenes , I think by far his best gift is his acting.

Someone on tumblr in the Chrisneyland tag last week said it was the reason he sold his house. They seemed really angry.

Given that Chris and Will have people they know that have blogs now and the fact his Spreecast was at another house, I am starting to think all of this is true.

When Glee ends Chris will have his fandom separate from what he had from Glee.

He will have his Kurt fans, but CrissColfer and Klaine will eventually die with the show over time.
